22/06/2025: Tasty and heartwarming food topped up with amazing views. Lots of dishes are prepared with local products and they are marked on the menu. Portions are generous and powered us through the hike after. We had carbonara, polenta with cheese and sausage, homemade ginger schnapps and cappuccino👍🏻

05/05/2025: Recommended bar in Torbola. Nicely tucked away off the main drag. A pleasant place for an evening wine. They have a simple menu, you won't get lost when choosing. You always get the option to take some snacks for free with your wine! (Chips, nuts,….). I would definitely recommend visiting in the evening, when the garden is lit up with lights. Romantic place. No service charge. Prices good!

11/06/2025: We visited the Augustiner Brewery when we were in Salzburg and were so excited to see one when we were in Merana. The beer was just as cold and great tasting and the service here was outstanding. So outstanding that we came back a second night. Thomas was our waiter both nights. We so enjoyed him during our visits. We highly recommend this establishment! Jane and Brian

23/06/2025: Attracted by the excellent reviews, we booked a table for 2. Although the food was good, unfortunately the experience was not really up to par. Terrible service, very slow... unkind and almost annoyed staff.... After 50 minutes of waiting they finally brought us at least the menu which is very confusing, as the dishes are written all together, with no distinction between appetizers, first/second courses and no dessert. Out of 3 appetizers, 2 were not available,... and other changes to the menu and off-menu puatti (super banal dishes...) explained hastily by word of mouth. For two diners they were unable to bring the first course at the same time. ...something must have gone haywire in the kitchen....but it is not acceptable, especially if it is not excused, and indeed you feel "unwelcomed". I really don't think we will return.

13/06/2025: We had lunch on a weekday, we found this restaurant by chance in Cavalese, in a small alley in the center. Justina welcomed us kindly but with the typical discretion of these places. The menu had the right number of courses, all very local, without overdoing the imagination and without giving useless imaginative names. For those who are not meat lovers, some fish dishes. Giustina is also a great sommelier who recommended an excellent wine, also from the area, with an excellent bouquet but with a good price. The price paid per person was around €27 for a super satisfying lunch and with an excellent wine. Ps. Exceptional goulash and a revisited tiramisu (by the pastry chef daughter) with caramelized pears. Just a small tip, the contemporary Italian music (perhaps too contemporary) clashed with the wonder of the place and the goodness of the dishes. Total rating: 10 😉

23/06/2025: To relax, feel pampered, enjoy excellent food, professional but friendly service - choose Hotel Armin! The rooms are clean and spacious, renovated and comfortable. The location is excellent and very central in Selva, all the routes are easily accessible. The staff is extremely kind and friendly, as well as very helpful. The cuisine is varied and always offers options for vegetarians and vegans. In short, the only problem is that at a certain point you have to leave again! I highly recommend it and would return for a future stay in Selva.

09/07/2025: A beautiful hotel with very comfortable rooms. The breakfast is varied. The location is close to Bolzano Airport, almost in the industrial area. The hotel is generally excellent. Its drawback is that parking is 25 euros per night at the hotel, or parking in the parking lot next to the hotel is 10 euros per night.

08/07/2025: Can't say enough good things about my stay here. This is my 2nd. night of a week stay and I absolutely love the hotel. Staff is super friendly, property is very clean and the pool/spa is wonderful especially if you have bad weather and are forced to stay in. Suprisingly, the rate is a great value for the property with an excellent breakfast included. The only drawback was the restaurant, while the food was excellent, the menu was limited. Also, the location is not near the center however, the bus service is easy and convenient. Would definitely come back.

01/06/2025: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A genuine and satisfying experience between authentic flavors and breathtaking views During a weekend on a motorbike between Avio, Ferrara di Monte Baldo and Malcesine, we decided to stop for dinner at the Rifugio Monte Baldo, attracted by its panoramic position and the offer of a tasting menu for €22. Even though we were not guests of the accommodation, the welcome was warm and familiar, as if they had known us for a long time. The refuge overlooks one of the most suggestive views of Monte Baldo, and just climbing up there at sunset is an experience worth the trip. But it is at the table that the Rifugio really manages to leave its mark. The tasting menu was a very pleasant surprise: balanced, abundant, and with attention to flavors without being heavy or excessive. All the dishes had that authentic taste of home-made mountain cuisine, with local raw materials and traditional recipes. The service was kind, smiling and punctual, while maintaining that informal tone typical of refuges, which makes you feel at home. The quality-price ratio is also truly remarkable: with 22 euros per person you eat abundantly, without sacrificing quality. In conclusion, we highly recommend stopping for dinner here if you are in the area, especially after a day in the open air or on a motorbike among the hairpin bends of Baldo. It is the ideal place to savor the mountain on a plate, among silence, stars and the scent of wood.

29/06/2025: A friendly welcome, but unfortunately, we were seated in the basement. Delicious main courses (Misto Faggio and Parpadelle Venison), but very small portions and not hot enough. €2 cover per person, missing information on the menu.

29/06/2025: After booking I was given a small table behind the door in a dark corner. To try to see something I was given a small light on the table that at the end of the evening ran out so we finished eating with the light of the phones. To have the first course we waited 45 minutes even though we were the first to arrive at the restaurant. The food is decent. Nothing exceptional. I strongly advise against the meat with berries because it tastes of vinegar. The portions seriously need to be reviewed and the prices are crazy. Moral of the story: 2 adults and a child, I spent 160 euros (we didn't take wine!) and when we left we had to go to another restaurant because my son was hungry.

10/07/2025: Incredibly nice people! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was truly wonderful! Thanks also for the tips on accommodations in the area! They're also well-equipped for babies and toddlers (changing table and high chairs)! 6 stars is just not possible, unfortunately!
