11/11/2024: Sunday afternoon lunch on the terrace in the November sun. Drank Tuscan rose and had a delicious meal. Nice little town to walk through after dinner.

10/11/2024: Questa è un'osteria con pochi tavoli al centro del paese, piccola ma accogliente. Il proprietario ha i modi dell'oste di un tempo: la.sua grande simpatia ci ha allietato per tutto il pranzo. Buona la proposta di vini. Piatti sinceri e gustosi.

06/11/2024: Locale tipico toscano. Posto piccolo, accogliente come accoglienti sono i proprietari. Ti senti subito a casa. In un tempo di sempre di corsa è bello poter scambiare quattro chiacchiere con "l'oste". Ovviamente lo consente la bassa stagione. Ottima tagliata con patate al forno e buon vino della casa. Il prezzo più che onesto. Grazie.

17/08/2024: Very nice terrace outside with background music and great ambience near castle wall, atmosphere was fantastic. Food was quite overpriced for what we got, I have ordered beef aged for 60 days, it was chewy and so called “grilled vegetables on the side” were consisting of one sliced super tiny carrot zucchini. (Can see from the photo). For this price I would recommend to increase amount of vegetables, or then do not mention them as side dish please. For starter we took toast with meat, bread was very hard to chew. With the main meal, waitress offered to bring bread and it was not fresh either, felt like it was baked several days ago. In general pleasant experience, but we would not go again as this price tag for the food does not match the actual quality/taste.

16/11/2024: Terrible. Absolutely terrible pizza. I honestly thought that they had a 'bad dough day', as I saw all the plates with unfinished pizzas go back to the kitchen, with the 'doggie bag' option requested (probably out of politeness or pity). But then looked at some of the pictures on google, and they all looked the same. The dough was dry, brittle and for the most part burnt. It had no taste. I am very surprised my the high rating of this place. I really hope they need to get their act together, because what I had tonight was a joke. Atmosphere, and service are ok, but I cannot give more than 1 star because the pizza was just embarrassing.

14/11/2024: I have been coming to Tuscany at least once a year since 1999. I have pizza here at least twice a visit. It's the best pizza I've ever eaten.

26/06/2024: Medieval vaults with an amazing selection of wines by the glass or bottle. Great food including a selection of cold meats and cheeses. Lovely staff. Highly recommended.

10/06/2024: Very beautiful place, far from the chaos and immersed in the Chianti area, where I breathed good air, in a simple but well-kept environment and they immediately made us feel as if we had been friends forever. Very good food, also appreciated by the little ones in the family, right service and right prices. I recommend stopping by to eat to share the experience. PS they let us sit even though we hadn't booked much in advance, saying that they don't send anyone away. Too bad we couldn't eat outside because it was raining a little. It's also good for animal lovers. When I come back I'll stop by for more food.

07/06/2024: Rooms, cleanliness, meals, service, everything out of 10, the place is spectacular… a dream. Good atmosphere, they make you feel very comfortable, everything is great.

14/07/2024: Bellissima esperienza! Avevamo prenotato la fiorentina il giorno prima e ci ha portato la meraviglia in foto. Subito per metterci a nostro agio ci Leo ci ha portato taglieri e prosecchino di benvenuto. Servizio eccellente, il proprietario un tipico toscano spettacolare. A fine pasto ci ha deliziati con il favo a centro tavola da cui abbiamo attinto più che volentieri. CONTO IRRISORIO per il trattamento ricevuto e per tutto ciò che abbiamo mangiato. Torneremo sicuramente!!

29/06/2024: Volevamo pranzare con amici nei pressi di radda e ci siamo imbattuti casualmente in questo ristorante che rimane alle porte del paese. Appena entrati abbiamo subito respirato l’aria di casa, i proprietari (marito e moglie) che gestiscono il locale si dividono fra sala e cucina, quindi tutto ciò che cucinano viene fatto in casa, e si sente, il cibo è veramente ottimo con specialità che non si trovano facilmente negli altri ristoranti,oltretutto hanno anche una buona scelta di vini, da provare il giuggiolo un amaro tipico!rapporto qualità prezzo ottima!esperienza fantastica! ci torneremo!! Grazie dai valdarnotti!!

17/06/2024: Un piccolo gioiello nel Chianti, un'osteria curata in ogni dettaglio, che segue l'architettura del luogo. Ad accoglierci c'è Aldo, che con gentilezza e saggezza ci consiglia i piatti migliori e il vino da abbinare. Provate due riserve Chianti notevoli. I piatti sono a dir poco stratosferici. Racchiudono l'Italia che fa invidia al mondo. Un mix di semplicità ed eccellenza, di cibo che non trovi più, di sapori autentici. La mia vacanza é appena iniziata, ma io e la mia famiglia abbiamo già dato un senso a questi giorni, con una cena strabiliate. PS. Andiamo via sabato, abbiamo già prenotato per l'ultima sera qui, per provare la seconda metà del menù che ci manca.

30/07/2024: Locale veramente carino e riservato. Sevizio buono, ti senti come a casa Che dire della carne.... Eccezionale!! Consigliatissimo!!!

21/07/2024: Locale molto intimo, accogliente e cibo buonissimo. Lo consiglio perché la carne la prendono direttamente dalla macelleria e si sente che è fresca e ottima. Prezzi molto onesti. Complimenti.

22/10/2024: For French tourists, I do not advise you to take the lasagna because it is really not worth it. They are not well presented, a little lukewarm and not even really good. I recommend pasta like “con Ragù Toscano”. Otherwise the service is good and the atmosphere too. Just for good Italian lasagna, we were definitely on it!

02/10/2024: Visited for a late lunch, nice small Ristorante with friendly staff and an interesting menu with lots of home made dishes. The Ravioli was very good, as was the lasagne, reasonably priced too.

03/08/2024: It's a wonderful place. Great location with beautiful views. The purest air. All aspects of the holiday are well thought out and organized. A clean swimming pool. A restaurant with high-quality food. We had a great time. Many thanks to the hosts. Access from the highway from three sides is more convenient from the Mercatale side.

19/08/2024: I give this hotel 3 stars and THAT IS ME BEING GENEROUS. My recent stay at this “four-star” hotel in Chianti was underwhelming. If you stay here YOU MUST RENT A CAR. Despite requesting transportation from the airport, the hotel failed to inform us that renting a car would be essential to explore the region without feeling trapped. We wanted to leave and go to wineries, cooking classes, etc.. and it either costed a fortune or was impossible to find a diver. The location is secluded, with no nearby transport options, and there are only two restaurants, both of which were disappointing. For a Tuscany hotel, we were expecting at minimum average food, but no! Definitely not! The service was lacking, with no staff available to serve drinks or provide towels at seating areas. We went to the pool had to scavenge for our own towels, uncover the chairs, etc.. Food options were limited, especially between 2 to 7 PM. Once they close lunch at 2:30pm there is no food in sight. To make matters worse, our room had stained bedsheets and a pilly duvet, which was unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber. Not to mention when we arrived to our room we were welcomed with a bag of dirty diapers 🥹. While the staff was kind, the overall experience fell far short of our expectations, particularly in terms of food and basic amenities.
