14/06/2025: Unforgettable experience and great food! We were welcomed with great cordiality by Gerardo, the owner: an exquisite person, friendly and at the same time very attentive and professional. He explained the menu to us with passion and showed us the grill, filmed live by a camera, so that we could follow the cooking phases of the meat comfortably from the table. A truly original touch that adds even more value to the experience. After a welcome panzanella, we moved on to a delicious plate of mixed appetizers - including Tuscan crostini, truffle frittatas and local cured meats - and then arrived at the real star: the 1,200-gram steak, divided in two as per the menu, cooked to perfection and served at the table in a spectacular way. We accompanied everything with a trio of side dishes (baked potatoes, spiced chickpeas, carrots and peppers), and then finished on a sweet note with cantucci and vin santo. The wine list is extensive and well-studied, with options to suit all budgets. At the end of the evening we also had the pleasure of chatting with Gerardo on the photo board of some famous and regular guests of the restaurant: a sign that shows how much he really cares about his customers. At the end, when we went out and found ourselves in the rain, Gerardo kindly lent us an umbrella so we could reach the hotel dry. A simple gesture but of rare kindness, which encapsulates the spirit of this place. Perfect experience from every point of view. Highly recommended if you pass by Pistoia, it really deserves it. We had the opportunity to taste numerous dishes, including the mussels, which turned out to be particularly excellent. In addition to the specialty of mussels prepared in multiple ways, the menu offers a wide selection of high quality fish-based dishes and some options dedicated to meat lovers. The quality of the food is excellent and the wine list offers a vast choice from renowned wineries. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion, whether lunch or dinner. We will be happy to return again.

Abbiamo avuto l’opportunità di assaporare numerose pietanze, tra cui le cozze, che si sono rivelate particolarmente eccellenti. Oltre alla specialità delle cozze preparate in molteplici modi, il menù offre un’ampia selezione di piatti a base di pesce sempre di alta qualità e alcune opzioni dedicate agli amanti della carne. The first courses are excellent but the must for me are the arrosticini... first choice sheep meat cut by hand, something more unique than rare!

25/05/2025: Amazing burger, eaten there twice. Rich and varied menu, for all needs and tastes. Amazing and excellent quality sandwiches, amazing ingredients. The place is brazy, with benches covered by the shade of two large pine trees. The guys who served us (also cooks) were kind and very helpful. Kitchen and place equipped with shelter and chairs, even for many people. Highly recommended 🤙🗿

Wonderful location with nearby benches or tables "indoor" or outdoors that overlook Piazza Garibaldi with a wide view of the beautiful monument to Giuseppe Garibaldi while you eat. Original sandwiches with fresh, good and crunchy bread, quality ingredients and portions that fill you up with fair prices. A rich and tasty meal that can be eaten in peace there or on the street. I was able to appreciate above all the creativity of making what is a classic cheeseburger, with a bread that is not the classic hamburger, but with a small baguette and the quality of the hamburger, cooked perfectly.

Unforgettable fried porcini mushrooms, very much appreciated venison sliced ​​with blueberries. To return often.

05/05/2025: Place visited for a ceremony and with an unusual temperature for the time of year; certainly in moments of greater heat and absence of rain it will be much more enjoyable. The restaurant has a very large room inside a glass veranda which allows a view of every surrounding promontory and the lake next to it. The food, refined but respectful of traditions, manages to be the protagonist: very generous and tasty portions, perfectly balanced between them. Side note: the 4 stars for the environment refer to the internal room which, thanks to the presence on Sundays, had a very high number of diners such as to prevent the understanding (sometimes) of the words exchanged at my table. All this is understandable, but certainly with more space between tables and an opening of the veranda (I presume with milder temperatures and towards summer) it can be mitigated. Despite this little thing, great praise for the service which has always been impeccable and capable of serving anyone without too many waits as well as recommending the correct quantity of courses. Very kind!

10/06/2025: Il Taba Dolce di Latte is one of my favorite spots for gelato and Cornetto in Italy. The quality is outstanding, with rich, creamy flavors that really stand out. I highly recommend trying it—I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
