20/07/2025: Having visited Colonnata, I must say I was disappointed... in some areas it is rundown and poorly maintained... shame... but I appreciated the free shuttle service... let's get back to the review of this restaurant which is located in the central square right at the shuttle stop... the dishes are not exceptional but good, the lard I ate was good... the service was slow, too slow in my opinion, they need more staff at the tables and in the kitchen... the two waitresses there do the impossible, really good... the organization needs re-evaluating... and I repeat, they need more staff... the menu you find on the noticeboard outside does not correspond with what they bring to the tables... and if you ask, believe me, you will be disappointed... the prices are average but the place with its outdoor veranda overlooking the square makes it pleasant to taste the dishes... but I was more disappointed by Colonnata with all the marble that the town has in some alleys it is unsightly, dilapidated abandoned houses, uneven driveways....

28/06/2025: Terrible experience. THIRTY minutes of waiting for a piadina, we kindly asked what had happened and the girl replied "I missed it, I'm a beginner and alone, I'll make it for you now, never mind". Unable to wait any longer, she wrote on the receipt for us to come and get it another day. I asked if it was possible to get my money back and she tried at all costs to give me an amount lower than the one I spent even though she had the receipt in front of her. All of this with a lot of arrogance and rudeness. Working with the public I know that oversights and mistakes can happen and learning a job is difficult, but pretending to be right and treating the customer in this way is unacceptable.

04/06/2025: My partner brought me here especially from Bologna to admire the ammonites on the stone counter. They are numerous and really beautiful and very large! There are also some orthoceras in addition to the classic ammonites. As for the bar aspect, the staff is very kind and the pastry department is excellent and well stocked. I had also considered trying to detach my lady from the ammonites with a cream pastry, but I thought it would have been a waste of effort. Luckily the counter was too large and heavy to steal, otherwise she would have put it in her bag.

23/02/2025: Siamo stati qui per pranzo di domenica, si trova in prossimità del lungo mare. Sono due locali in uno, di giorno, in una sala ben curata e ben arredata effettua servizio ristorante, mentre la sera, nell’altra sala, si trasforma in pub con arredamento tipico di un pub irlandese! Piatti di pesce molto buoni, abbiamo preso le linguine allo scoglio e frittura mista, quest’ultima molto leggera e non unta. Servizio veloce, personale cordiale e gentile.

29/06/2025: Saturday night dinner at Bon Prò in the center of Marina di Carrara was certainly not a satisfying experience. To begin with, we booked a table outside by phone. When we arrived at the appointed time, we were led to our table, not yet set and still had leftovers from previous meals. After receiving the very minimal menu, we had to call for table service, after about 15 minutes of waiting. The dishes ordered, the meat tartare (€12) and the Hamburger Extra (€10) arrived in a timely manner, but did not meet our expectations. The tartare did not respect the quality-quantity-price ratio, with the meat accompanied by salad and salt. The cooking of the Hamburger was not bad, but the bread was really terrible: hard, dry and difficult to cut. The presentation of the dishes was a positive note. Understandable on a Saturday night, but the evening was not to our liking. The owner, Mr. Giacomo, the soul of the place, always present and attentive to customers.

14/06/2025: Servizio pessimo e personale maleducato. Abbiamo ordinato 3 porzioni di patatine fritte e dopo mezz’ora ne è arrivata 1 in un cestino di legno (poco igienico) senza specificare di quante patatine si trattasse. Non hanno messo un coperto, un piatto, un tovagliolo….Quando abbiamo chiesto spiegazioni la cameriera (davvero maleducata e presuntuosa) non ha saputo giustificare la cosa, anzi ha provato a difendersi dicendo che dovevamo darle il tempo di mettere il coperto (cosa che le abbiamo dovuto chiedere noi). Davvero sconsigliato. Pessimo, quasi da chiusura!!!
