12/02/2026: We went in to ask if they had any seats and the waitress told us to wait outside for 15 minutes as a table was becoming available. After half an hour, we returned, but a lady refused to let us sit because the table was for four. I should point out that it was 10:00 PM and there were only the two of us. We won't return due to the treatment we received.

14/03/2026: To conclude our 30-plus-day campervan trip through Tuscany, we were looking for a special restaurant – and we definitely found a little gem. What an experience! Even the view from the outside was impressive and raised our expectations. We received a very warm welcome at reception and were shown to a very inviting table. The entire restaurant is decorated with great attention to detail, style, and beautiful fabrics and decorations. This prevents everything from feeling kitschy; instead, it's exceptionally tasteful and stylish. The menu focuses heavily on fish and seafood – which is precisely why we came here. It's only in Italian, and some dishes are quite unusual, so we occasionally used the translator on our phones. The staff was very helpful in this regard. The evening began in a unique way: A pitcher of dry ice, infused with a fragrance of mandarin, lemon, orange, and bergamot, was placed on a rotating plate. When water was added, it created an impressive reaction – intended, according to the staff, to help us relax and set the mood for the evening. The menu is heavily influenced by fish and seafood – which is exactly why we came here. The food we ordered was a feast for the eyes and tasted absolutely divine. Everything looked incredibly fresh and was artfully presented. The service was consistently professional and exceptionally charming. A perfect evening to end our trip. Highly recommended – reservations are absolutely essential, as all the tables were occupied during our visit.

11/03/2026: Friendly from the first to the last second. The menu was extensive, which we, as non-Italians, found a bit difficult to read quickly. No problem at all. We were helped! We were given as much time as we needed to peruse the menu thoroughly and decide what we wanted to eat. As in many good Italian restaurants, there was a wide selection of excellent wines. But even for us, who enjoy pairing several wines with a meal, there were half bottles from very good winemakers and some absolute highlights by the glass. The seafood and fish-focused cuisine was always perfectly prepared. The olive oil was superb. Wonderful music. Even if you don't particularly like Viareggio, you'll always find yourself wondering if there's a reason to return and eat at this restaurant again! Thank you for a lovely and successful evening.

09/02/2026: Greasy hands and mouth watering!! Nostromo is a trattoria in Viareggio where you can enjoy its signature dish: the succulent seafood carbonara! Excellent, they never miss a beat. Like any self-respecting trattoria, you'll feel right at home. I would recommend it to both residents and those on vacation enjoying the picturesque Tuscan setting. Highly recommended.

08/02/2026: Last night we went to Trattoria Nostromo in Viareggio with a group of friends and were truly delighted. The place is very simple, no-frills, but here, what counts is what's on the plate... and the food is truly excellent. We started with the light and tasty fried fish, then moved on to their famous seafood carbonara: simply spectacular! It was so good we decided to order a second course, because stopping would have been a shame. To finish, the pan-fried Cacciucco alla Viareggina: rich, flavorful, authentic, accompanied by that crispy bread perfect for dipping... mmm, so delicious! A casual place, a friendly atmosphere, and seafood cuisine done just right. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back! 🍝🐟🍷

22/02/2026: The owner is cheerful and welcoming, and extremely attentive to her customers. The dishes are delicious; we tried the typical seafood dishes and were extremely satisfied! We highly recommend it and will definitely be back whenever we're in Viareggio.

15/03/2026: I absolutely recommend the seafood carbonara, truly excellent and well-prepared (the one pictured is a portion for two). The setting is simple, informal, and the service is friendly.

14/03/2026: If you're craving seafood, good food, and a low price, I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is small and very chaotic, but for a culinary-pleasant lunch/dinner, I highly recommend it. Advance reservations are also recommended, otherwise it's difficult to find a seat!

09/09/2025: A casual place with excellent pizzas, both plain and with tomato sauce. The Neapolitan-style dough is firm and perfectly topped (I enjoyed a white "mortazza" with mortadella, pistachios, and burrata), which was very enjoyable. The staff is attentive and friendly.
