10/03/2024: Piccola gelateria bella centrale via Fillungo! Alle 16 di domenica pomeriggio il banco era praticamente vuoto con pochi gusti a disposizione. Gelato buono ma a mio giudizio eccessivamente caro. Coppetta due gusti e coppetta più piccola di yogurt 7,60 €..

13/05/2024: I was Korean, so I wasn't good at the language, but the staff was very kind, and when I said I wanted spaghetti, they even made a delicious lasagna that wasn't on the menu. The cocktails were delicious, and the bartender was handsome and friendly. The best memory.

09/05/2024: I occasionally have breakfast in this cafe and I always enjoy it very much. Both the variety and quality of the desserts offered are excellent. The staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful. The assortment of tobaccos is also very good. Well done!!!

21/05/2024: A small restaurant with a few tables on the external veranda, a beautiful and welcoming room and another room on the floor below. In the internal room the equipment and the service are impeccable and very kind, attentive and professional. I enjoyed the entree offered (tomato soup with mussels). The marinated red mullet are excellent and the warm mate salad is delicious as starters. The spaghetti with clams is very good. The desserts such as the passion fruit semifreddo are also very good. Very good price if you also consider the goodness and quality of the dishes. Parking (if there is no space in front of the restaurant) is guaranteed in the large square 80 meters away in the direction of Lucca.

12/05/2024: A rainy day, a casual walk in for lunch to have a bite to eat and rest for a moment. Happy intuition. We shared an appetizer, crostone with truffle, and two first courses tordelli with tagu and carbonara with truffle, two glasses of wine. All excellent. Made expressly as well as the other dishes we saw pass by and the appreciations of the other diners, fillet. Pasta with tomato sauce (someone said it was their specialty...). Surprise, there are only 2 of us, the guy in the dining room and the chef who I complimented in the kitchen. Optimal !

04/05/2024: Excellent food. Great value and service. Nice local atmosphere. Enjoyed crostini with anchovy and truffle. Also the tagliarini with truffle. The house red wine was excellent and the staff friendly with limited but sufficient English. Prices very reasonable. Highly recommend.

28/05/2024: Nice place in the center of Lucca with outdoor tables too. We have dined here several times, both inside and out, the food is good and the service is fast and friendly if a little inexperienced. The tables are actually very narrow, but despite being 4 adults with 2 children and very large serving plates, we still spent a nice evening without any particular inconvenience. The prices tend to be high, but the portions are generous.

18/05/2024: I'll do a "hot" review, just after dinner. I'm very full, but not in the good sense of the term... I was at dinner with my girlfriend, who has, let's say, a delicate palate: she left half the first course and all the second course for me, and I, who have more of a "good mouth", ate them for her. I can't blame her though, the food wasn't very good. To be precise: the gorgonzola and truffle gnocchi are very heavy (as they should be), but good. The stewed wild boar and the stew, however, are very heavy and not very good, I do not recommend them. The house wine is not bad, and I would even say cheap, the tordelli without infamy or praise, but I have no yardstick for comparison, I was tasting them for the first time. The place is rightly called "tavern", and by virtue of this name one could certainly forgive the less than fabulous cuisine and the very easy-going service (but, I want to point out, the waitresses were very kind). The prices, however, are not those of a tavern: there are cheaper dishes, but the ones we had were all around twenty euros and, if the truffle gnocchi is an adequate price, I would have been sorry to pay for the second courses. so much - but luckily I didn't have to! We had booked with The Fork, so we got a 50 percent discount! I can't say I ended the dinner happy, but at least calm... Of course, if I had paid full price it wouldn't have been like this. What do I take home from this experience? Different teachings: 1) If a place has many seats, a rather long menu, extremely fast service, and can afford to grant a 50% discount, it is probably a place used to feeding large flows of people, and probably for this reason it necessarily has to feel the quality. 2) The taverns, alas, no longer exist: in this increasingly consumerist world, the word tavern is just a "brand": the prices are those of the restaurant, what changes is only the style, the method. 3) Before going to dinner with your girlfriend, make sure she's one to finish what she orders! Obviously I am joking ;) Obviously this judgment is based on what I tasted, I hope I was just unlucky. I see a lot of the reviews are good, and that's one of the reasons we came to eat here. Therefore it seemed right to me to report my experience, even if with a severe judgement. Best wishes to everyone for good work, and to myself to come back from here and, who knows, maybe change my mind!

02/04/2024: Easter 2024, we had to come for lunch, then due to problems with the dog we had to give up, but the problem was partially solved, we managed to go to dinner, so our day was sorted out thanks to the welcome, the food, the atmosphere .... In short, thank goodness we came, fantastic evening. I will definitely come back and recommend it to everyone 💯💯💯

02/03/2024: Really compliments. We had a great time. We ate raw ham and fried gnocco (digested very well), the rocher was a spectacle and the plin top raviolini. Very kind waitress, fast service and clean place. Only flaw? We don't live in the area because we're on holiday... but we'll be back!
