05/07/2025: A very well-kept place that offers an excellent Tuscan menu: very well-executed and balanced dishes. You absolutely have to try the pappardelle with wild boar, raisins and vin santo as well as the summer wild boar with apples! The staff is kind, welcoming, smiling, attentive but discreet with customers. Well done, keep it up! Da Tronca is a pleasure for the palate and the spirit!!!

03/07/2025: Not an easy place to find, but nice, well renovated in local style. Good location also for outside seating. Young, kind, welcoming staff, but awkward with every request: the bread arrives late and on the third call, the oil too, the critical comments, unfortunately, they do not receive and do not handle them as they should. Good local red wine, decent bread. The appetizer of 5 mixed crostini is made questionable by the excessive use of thyme and other spices: only the sausage one is good, the liver one is barely enough and perhaps the onion one, the other two are rejected. The main courses (cow cheek and pappardelle with white wild boar ragù) are well cooked, but lack a well-defined flavor. The cantucci with vin santo are just passable, while the zuppa inglese is a poor imitation of its industrial version: rubbery, dry, almost devoid of alchermes. For an appetizer, a first course, a second course, two desserts, wine (half a liter), water and two coffees, the bill is 76 euros: a bit high in itself, indigestible for the quality of food and service. Regret having chosen them.

09/07/2025: We had booked outside, but given the cool evening, they kindly moved us inside at our request. The first course was delicious, and the second course even better. We had the Maremma ravioli with meat sauce, Etruscan rabbit, and chicken made with an ancient medieval recipe whose name I don't remember. The owner and wait staff were very friendly. Recommended!

08/07/2025: It really was beautiful, everything is unique, the place is beautiful. I was a little disappointed when the bill showed two juices instead of one. I hope it was a mistake.

18/06/2025: Lived in Italy for 6 years and this is one of the best meals I've had. Wonderfully friendly staff and the pasta was incredible. Reasonably priced too!

Taverna incantevole medievale. il proprietario attento e competente un bel braciere nella sala, la tagliata ai porcini freschi è commovente, ottimi gli antipasti al tartufo, ottimi i dolci eccellente carta dei vini vocata al territorio ottimo rapporto qualità servizio e prezzo. Super consigliato

18/05/2025: I think it's one of the few places left where everything is cooked on the spot. Last night we wanted to have dinner in Massa Marittima and we couldn't have ended up in a better place. Few seats, everything managed by the owner who offers different dishes every day. Everything is delicious. Congratulations Caterina, we will definitely come back to visit you!

17/05/2025: We wanted to eat something good, we couldn't have ended up better. Caterina the owner and chef manages everything by herself And it's like entering her home. She cooks everything on the spot, the pici pulled at the moment even the involtino cooked express. I've never eaten in a place like this. We will definitely return and this review is to reward the love she puts into her work that you can feel in her dishes. Congratulations and keep it up! Valentina the drunken fairy from Sarzana ☺️

30/05/2025: At La Tana dei Brilli you eat really well. It is one of those places where the cuisine is simple, made with local ingredients and recipes that taste like home. No frills, just real flavors, the ones you recognize at first taste and that make you want to come back. The menu is written with a poetic care that makes you want to order everything: each dish has a description that tells a story, and already reading it you imagine the smell and taste. The prices are fair, actually good, especially for what you take home in terms of quality and atmosphere. And then there is the owner - very nice - and the cook, who make you feel at home. They welcome you with a smile and treat you as if you were a lifelong friend. A place like this should be kept a secret ... but it deserves to be shared. Advice

05/04/2025: Posto meraviglioso, molto accogliente, abbiamo mangiato benissimo e siamo state accolte dalle ragazze, nonostante non avessimo prenotato e fosse pieno, che hanno provveduto a trovarci un posto per mangiare.. . Il vino era molto buono l'atmosfera magica. Ritorneremo

24/03/2025: Il Barrino di Tatti is a small corner of peace immersed in the Maremma, perfect for those looking for good food and a relaxed atmosphere. The location is pleasant and authentic, with a welcoming panoramic terrace from which to enjoy an aperitif with a breathtaking view of the Tuscan countryside. The food is quality, with well-prepared dishes and fresh ingredients. The real surprise is the pizza: excellent, fragrant and tasty, certainly one of the strong points of the place. Il Barrino di Tatti is the ideal place for those who want to enjoy lunch, a pleasant dinner or simply sip a drink immersed in a spectacular panorama. Absolutely recommended!

01/07/2025: We ate very well, a little known place, you can find a place even by calling 2 hours in advance. Very simple cuisine but it's worth it. On a 38 degree day finally a bit of fresh breeze

14/06/2025: We had been asking for an hour to please move the dog away because he was constantly approaching our 9 month old daughter and taking bread from her hands. Given that I love animals, I was afraid that the dog would unintentionally squeeze too hard and inadvertently hurt her. We asked several times politely, but after 5 minutes the dog came back. I threw some crumbs that were on the high chair on the floor without thinking because he would have stretched his nose to get them anyway. The owner/owner saw me and literally scolded me in front of everyone.. She didn't even want to listen to my explanation. In short, I went there to relax after a really tough week. I was tense for 1 hour about the dog and then even scolded. I felt pretty bad. We left without finishing (we took away the first ones who had just arrived), they didn't even care to apologize. It was my fault because I gave crumbs to the dog (who would have eaten them from my daughter's hands anyway). No comment.. It was really bad to be treated like that. The one who was disrespectful, madam, is you. It is normal for a 9-month-old baby to drop pieces of bread. Really crazy stuff. Your dog took bread from my daughter's hands. Is it that hard to understand? I really have no words. In my house, after the baby has eaten and crumbs fall, she cleans herself. If she didn't want the dog to eat the bread crumbs, she shouldn't have let him near the tables because he would take the bread by himself by craning his snout! Of course I wanted to relax without the anxiety that he would accidentally bite her. Are you talking to me about filth? Instead, is it hygienic for my newborn daughter to put them in her mouth after her dog has licked her hands? The dog with his snout at the height of the baby's hands. My husband and I have tried several times to push him away. All this filth you talk about, moreover, was just crumbs. The part she played to me in front of everyone was out of place and I don't think anyone dared to say anything to her given her aggressiveness. I should have played her part before she played me because I would have had every right to do so. Besides, like a fool, I also apologized to her who instead turned her back without giving me constructive feedback. Let me understand, how should I have behaved? It was impossible to keep the dog away from the child (yes, I scolded him but he still came back). She wants a rule to be respected but she doesn't put people in the position to do so.. Absurd! But what do I care about feeding the dog? I just wanted to have dinner without anxiety and managing this situation after 1 hour was tiring! I was exhausted asking you at least 5 or 6 times to kindly move the dog away. Both my husband and I asked. The other children you are referring to, who were better behaved than mine, were a 4-year-old girl who was already able to understand that bread should not be crumbled. You, madam, were perfectly capable of not crumbling at 9 months? We were also in the garden and from what you describe it seems like I threw an entire plate of pasta or basket on the ground. Oh well, crazy stuff. You are lucky that you have not yet found someone who is really pissed off because I honestly think that a minimum of rules are needed to manage the dog during lunch. If he does not stay still (he is rightly acting like a dog) what can I do other than ask the owners several times to take him away. I am truly more and more upset. I am sad, dear madam, who have asked several times politely for something to get the bad rap.

06/06/2025: Wonderful place surrounded by nature, good food, refined cuisine with very good products. Eating surrounded by greenery, typical products, I would say is the best you can have. Mario, our dog was able to stay free all evening. Fantastic place, fantastic owners.

30/06/2025: During our holiday we came here for dinner twice, highly recommended! Nice terrace on the Piazza Garibaldi with a beautiful view of the Cattedrale di San Cerbone. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is delicious!

29/06/2025: We chose the place based on the reviews, and unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The pizza ordered by my daughter was good, nothing exceptional, while the meat taken by me and my husband was tasteless, badly cooked as if boiled and accompanied by a handful of salad just out of the plastic bag, not rinsed and falling apart. My son took the shank and this also reminded of the pre-cooked ones from the supermarkets, not to mention the chips fried in old oil. The only positive note was the location and the friendly staff. A big disappointment

06/07/2025: The staff is extremely friendly, motivated, and provides travel advice (if you're a tourist). The food is inexpensive and plentiful, and the quality is quite high. A 10/10!

02/07/2025: Simply put, everything you order is made PERFECTLY 💯. There's a wide variety of dishes, and the staff works with love and dedication to ensure customer satisfaction. This bar-restaurant doesn't have air conditioning, but there are fans to counteract the heat. There's also a terrace, you can customize your dishes without any problem, and they give you complimentary slices of pizza, which is very good (Margherita). They deserve a 10/10! 18/06/2025: Positive: Beautiful seats with a view of the church, pleasant and friendly service, and good pasta dishes (we had pasta with wild boar – it was very good). Our tip: stick to pasta dishes and antipasti – the kitchen is great at that. Negative: We ordered steak (medium rare) – but we got more than well done. The potatoes as a side dish weren't great either. No one on our three-week trip to Tuscany ever managed to mess up the steak – we were even upset on the drive home – so we're only giving it two stars.

11/04/2025: Con degli amici abbiamo scelto di mangiare in festa locanda. Non aspettatevi lussi o cose da chef stellati….ma potrete mangiare come dei “bottini rumati”! Piatti della tradizione maremmana….. Personale gentile che per il prezzo modico di 25 euro non fa mancare cibo e bevande che sono comunque di qualità eccelsa! Consigliato veramente!!
