22/08/2023: Pleasant evening at the port of Punta Ala. A recently opened restaurant compared to other historic restaurants in the port, it had already intrigued us since last year due to its offering of Tuscan cuisine, with a prevalence of land dishes. Postpone, postpone, we decided to book a few days ago and we were pleasantly satisfied with both the food and the service. Arriving at 8.30pm on Sunday evening, in just under 2 hours we ate 3 courses each... for those who know the times and methods of many restaurants in the port, especially on weekends, I must say that the service here was excellent, both as speed and courtesy. The menu is mainly dedicated to Tuscan meat cuisine, but there is a seafood option for each course. There were 6 of us and we ordered various dishes: mixed Tuscan crostini (4 types, very good ones with sausage and lard, €13), tomato soup (simple, classic but tasty, €11), crispy octopus on potato cream ( excellent, €18), good tagliolini with seafood ragout (€18), excellent pappardelle with wild boar (€16) and two well-done beef fillets, one tasty with gorgonzola (€32) and one natural (€28) . We also managed to taste some desserts: the classic coffee tiramisu (€7), a delicious snowflake (typical Neapolitan dessert, €7) and an excellent babà (€8). We accompanied the dinner with two bottles of Nicoleo Podernuovo Chardonnay white wine (€28), intense and truly pleasant. We ate very well, we were served with attention, speed and great courtesy, the setting of the port of Punta Ala does the rest... therefore definitely recommended! and we will definitely be back

04/10/2023: Very youthful pizzeria, with outdoor and indoor table, outdoors I mean right on the pavement, quiet area at the entrance to southern Castiglione, so you can find parking easily. Warm and friendly staff, they accept dogs, excellent choice of pizza flavours, which is served by the meter let's say, but it didn't meet my tastes, super thin, and with very little edge, but these are personal tastes.

21/09/2023: Very nice bar. The cocktails are very, very good. Small snacks, peanuts, chips and olives are served with every cocktail. The staff is very friendly, courteous and polite. We have been here at least 10 times and each time it has been very nice and relaxed.

28/07/2023: At 11.30pm I ask for a Gin Tonic, I choose Gin Mare and for the modest sum of 10 euros they throw me a plastic glass, no straw, lots of ice, a sage leaf, a drop of Gin on my feet. I was mistaken for a naive tourist to be fleeced🤬

04/12/2023: Il ristorante si trova lungo la strada che da Castiglione della Pescaia porta a Follonica, nessun problema di parcheggio, locale carino con personale squisito, servizio rapido e cordiale, cucina per tutte le tasche, buon rapporto qualità/prezzo

16/02/2024: Siamo stati a pranzo in famiglia, crudite veramente buona, antipasti idem, primi, due risotti del giorno ben fatti e bollenti... uno spaghetto alle vongole veraci, poi per finire una frittura mista con contorno di carciofi fritti, che dire si mangia proprio bene, sono una garanzia, servizio attento e veloce, certo se si mangia alla carta ci vuole un po di pazienza, alla fine siamo usciti dopo aver preso anche un sorbetto, due sgroppini, caffè e grappino...sazi e soddisfatti

12/09/2023: Either you arrive before opening or you risk biblical times just to get to the checkout, then there are the service people but we are at a festival and you can't have too many expectations. Of course, at a festival I wouldn't expect to have to pay a cover charge for paper placemats and organic plates, instead I would have appreciated slightly larger portions given the restaurant prices.

26/11/2023: Locale modesto e cameriera sterile , E tuttofare, si divide dal servire e cassiera mancano i sorrisi lunghe attese x ogni portata anche un'ora in particolare il sabato e non solo probabile personale ridotto all osso, nulla di che x la gastronomia ho scelto tra il menù del baccalà solo immerso in un sugo di pomodoro insipido , molti ristoratori si improvvisano cuochi con scarsi risultati a fronte di costi elevati. Sconsigliato.

10/10/2023: Wir waren auf Grund der guten Bewertung etwas enttäuscht. Eigentlich würden wir 3,5 Punkte geben. Das Risotto mit Spinat war für uns kein cremige Risotto, sondern Reis mit Spinat mi wenig Geschmack, zum Glück hatten wir Pfeffer und Salz am Tisch. Die Spagetti Carbonara waren auch wenig gewürzt. Sehr schade! Die Pizza war mager belegt und nur Durchschnitt. Evtl. Sollte man dort mehr Meeresfrüchte essen? Die vorbeigetragenen Teller sahen sehr gut aus. Der Service war freundlich. Wir mussten aber lange warten..

29/09/2023: Nella nostra settimana a Castiglione della Pescaia abbiamo cenato 2 volte in questo ristorante Personale molto gentile. Abbiamo mangiato l' antipasto di pesce sia crudo che cotto, molto buono e la spigola con le patate , deliziosa. Cucina molto curata.

22/11/2023: Sono tornata a pranzo intenta a gustare un pranzo domenicale in compagnia del mio compagno. Abbiamo affidato al cuoco la scelta dei nostri piatti, optando per una degustazione. La creatività e la maestria dello chef ci hanno sorpresi, conducendoci in un incantevole viaggio fusion, dove elementi orientali si sposavano con sapori di mare, verdure e salse. L'esperienza culinaria è stata esaltata da un eccellente Sauvignon dell'Alto Adige. Non posso che raccomandare caldamente questo ristorante, dove il cibo raggiunge livelli stratosferici di eccellenza.

01/11/2023: Siamo stati a cena in questo ristorante dopo aver letto le tante recensioni positive. Personalmente la cena è stata una delusione totale. Gli spaghetti alle vongole e bottarga erano completamente privi di sapore, la metà delle vongole erano chiuse o vuote. Il risotto con gambero rosso e burrata, passabile per il gusto ma dei gamberi nemmeno l’ombra. Come secondo abbiamo diviso una padellata dello scalino: il pesce non era fresco per niente, i gamberi sapevano davvero di marcio (non esagero), il resto del pesce era stracotto e visibilmente vecchio. Il tutto pagato davvero troppo per la qualità proposta. Non ci torneremo e non lo consigliamo

11/09/2023: Un vero spreco. In un paesino in collina sopra a Castiglione dove il fresco e la tranquillità sono di casa , dovrebbero stracciare la licenza a chi gestisce un ristorante in questo modo. Per essere buono dirò che l’unica qualità concessa sono le porzioni abbondanti che probabilmente accontentano tutti coloro che scrivono valutazioni positive. Non me lo spiego altrimenti. Siamo lontani da un ristorazione accettabile ma molto vicini al baratro della mensa aziendale. Del prezzo è inutile parlare, sempre troppo per l’offerta che si riceve.
