22/02/2026: An incredible place, nestled among woods and waterfalls. Delicious and plentiful food, presented in a rustic and sincere manner. Almost a thousand meters above sea level, in the middle of the Casentino Forests Park, lies this gem, where you can eat well and in abundance. If you're looking for modern surroundings and a soft atmosphere, look elsewhere; you're the one who's not right for this place. The service is friendly, efficient, and always available, and the prices are very fair for everything mentioned above. You made me fall in love, thank you so much.
20/02/2026: My partner and I had dinner at their restaurant after a long, tiring day of trekking.
We were greeted by a warm, family atmosphere.
They immediately seated us at a table, and before we could even take our orders, they served us delicious, freshly baked focaccia.
We ordered two first courses and a second course to share.
The wait between courses was almost instant; we were served immediately by their friendly and helpful staff.
We also had the chance to try the house red wine. It was simply exquisite.
A memorable experience that warmed our hearts and put us in a good mood! Thank you!

07/01/2026: THIS IS THE REAL RESTAURANT OF THE PAST, THE EAT IS GOOD.
15/11/2025: A bar with homemade pastries, phenomenal!! There was a wide selection of desserts; we tried the torta della nonna, which is spectacular (it melts in your mouth) and the almond and caramel tart. Everything was delicious! Inside, they also sell products made by the Camaldolese monks (mostly liqueurs and sweets).
Next door, there's also a shop selling traditional cured meats and cheeses.

A place passed down through generations 🔝
10/10/2025: A delightful place and a top-notch venue! When we're in the area, a stop is a must. The schiacciate, the various large plates, the desserts are excellent... in short, everything is fantastic, just like the people who work there, who are super friendly, kind, and welcoming. The prices are reasonable. I could write an essay with endless praise. We returned in August 2025, and unfortunately the service has changed (self-service), but the staff and the quality of the products served are still excellent.

05/10/2025: Returning after years, we found the same quality. High-quality ingredients, such as the excellent meat, and seasonal products like the delicious porcini mushrooms. Excellent value.
The rustic and welcoming atmosphere of a typical Tuscan trattoria.
We'll be back for the pizza, because there are few places where it's still cooked in a wood-fired oven!

Excellent restaurant, competent and friendly service!
Just a few minutes from the Camaldoli Monastery. It's not very noticeable from the road, but after climbing a few hundred meters, a large parking lot opens up and the restaurant is completely surrounded by greenery (several walking trails also begin here).
The Pappardelle alla Cacciagione (game-filled pappardelle) are a must-try...sublime!!

17/01/2026: I really like Locanda dei Baroni because it always has that extra something of a family feel. Naturally, being an old farmhouse, it doesn't have some of the services that others might look for, such as a TV in the room (which is why I gave it 4 stars). However, silence, fresh air, excellent food, a day there will rejuvenate you.

01/11/2025: Still longing for summer, but if it starts to feel a little chilly, you can cover up with a Casentino cloth blanket.
28/09/2025: A pleasant restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating. Everything is very cozy with pleasant people and in a beautiful location with an incredible view of the countryside crowned by a beautiful castle.
We were only here for a drink; we didn't try the food. Next time, for sure.

09/12/2025: Just steps from Poppi's historic center, we ate wonderfully at a very reasonable price. The owner, Gherardo, is a very friendly rocker, and we loved the atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Traditional cuisine with plenty of choice. Helpful and friendly staff.

A wide selection of gluten-free options is available both in the restaurant and for breakfast. Attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

23/10/2025: Outside, the wind rustles the trees and the leaves dance their last dance of autumn. Here, in the warmth, there's a generous platter of freshly prepared food and delicious porcini mushroom crostini. Tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and wild boar ragù are the first courses, both truly delightful. Then there's the delicious apple and walnut cake, paired with Vin Santo—hurrah!

13/12/2025: This restaurant is located in an old, well-maintained and truly welcoming building. It serves traditional Tuscan cuisine, well-prepared and delicious. Fast and competent service, excellent value for money, and I'll gladly return when I'm in the area.
