22/04/2025: Una delle peggiori esperienze mai avute in un locale. In questo bar esiste una regola assurda (pagamento anticipato solo con carta), comunicata male tramite un cartello nascosto e per nulla evidente. Ho provato a pagare dopo aver consumato — come accade ovunque nel mondo civile — e la carta non veniva accettata. La colpa? Il loro POS che non funziona. E invece di assumersi le responsabilità, il personale (in particolare una ragazza bionda sui 30/35 anni dai modi altezzosi e scortesi) ha avuto la brillante idea di trattarmi con sufficienza davanti i clienti, come se il problema fosse mio dicendomi “sbrigati che ho da fare”, le rispondo qua, cara barista, tutti abbiamo da fare, io in primis che dovevo prendere il treno (ovviamente pagato) che ho pure rischiato di perdere, le consiglio di leggersi un libro, “come trattare gli altri e farseli amici” di Dale Carnegie, le sarà di molto aiuto. Inqualificabile. Zero professionalità, zero empatia, solo arroganza gratuita e incapacità di gestire una situazione banalissima. Posto da evitare con cura quando c’è la ragazza bionda a meno che non siate disposti a tollerare maleducazione, disorganizzazione e un totale disinteresse verso i clienti. Un bar del genere fa solo vergognare chi cerca di lavorare seriamente nel settore.

03/05/2024: This charming trattoria takes its name from a Florentine expression—“I’ cche c’è c’è’” meaning “whatever there is to eat.” My friends and I enjoyed many meals here during our week-long stay at Borgo di Vagli, including, as the name suggests, a lovely meal that Dina threw together to accommodate us when we lost track of time and forgot to make our reservation prior to her daily trip to the market. Dina Fragai, with daughter Titziana, cook and serve simple, authentic Tuscan food featuring local ingredients and their own olive oil produced at the hamlet, all cooked only with wood fire in the traditional farmer style. You can pair your meal with their excellent selection of fine Tuscan wines or bring your own and only pay the modest €5. The trattoria is located in the remote hamlet Borgo di Vagli, the earliest structures built in the 14th century. Here lived farmers working the surrounding fields and woods for centuries until World War II. The spirit of their care and respect for the land and its bounty lives on every plate. The atmosphere of the trattoria is cozy and warm, and the service equally accommodating.
