05/10/2025: More than a refuge, it's a beautiful restaurant serving excellent food at competitive prices. The building is recently built (or renovated) and features large outdoor spaces. Inside, they've managed to create a modern and functional atmosphere that still respects the aesthetics of a traditional mountain building, where raw wood dominates. This last point is commendable and far from a given, as the modern/traditional mix isn't always so successful.

01/10/2025: The Kaiserschmarrn is delicious. One of the best in the area. Sitting outside, you have a great view of Tirol Castle. Sitting inside, you'll find a wonderful vaulted cellar. Friendly service, and the food is truly delicious, and reasonably priced.

24/09/2025: We received this insider tip from guests at our hotel: This snack bar is beautifully situated amidst apple orchards. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and escorted to our table. The food and drink selection is extensive, including many South Tyrolean specialties. The price-performance ratio is absolutely excellent. I can recommend this bar to anyone looking for a pleasant stay.

04/10/2025: We were passing through and decided to get a table without a reservation. We had a spaghetti ragù as an appetizer, a venison stew with liver as a main course, and a dessert of affogato coffee and apple strudel. Everything was excellent, from the service to the food. Highly recommended! And thanks for the excellent wine recommendation!

16/10/2025: We had one of the best meals during our Dolomites trip here - very delicious dumplings made 3 ways, great meat skewer and pumpkin soup. Service was friendly too, highly recommended!

15/10/2025: My sister can't handle such large portions, but the venison with fettuccine and beef gnocchi were both delicious. The red wine was also very good, light and easy to drink. I don't know where I can buy Kornell's Marith Pinot Noir. 😋 The boss also treated us to his own wine. 👍🏼 We ordered 3 dishes and, if I remember correctly, asked for around 50 euros... He charged me 50... which was great.

18/10/2025: We set out from the village of Parcines, a short distance from Merano. There's free parking. After about an hour, we admired the beautiful waterfall that bears the village's name. Continuing for another 40-45 minutes, we arrive at this typical South Tyrolean trattoria/farmhouse. The welcome was excellent, the food truly tasty, and the price was fair. We'll definitely be back!

10/09/2025: Stopped at this rustic alpine inn on the way down from Merano 2000. Super friendly service --> got a glimpse into apple strudel production :-) - and surrounded by beautiful scenery.

31/08/2025: Today I drank some really delicious fresh milk from the alpine pasture and ate a delicious Kaiserschmarrn pancake. A truly generous portion.

20/09/2025: Amazing food and amazing service. My wife and I were staying at the hotel next door and thought we can try this place and we are so glad we did. The pizza was amazing and we also had their house special steak dish and it was very tasty. One of the best mushrooms I ever had. The owners were very sweet! We are lucky to get a seat that allowed us to watch the pizza chef make the pizza and it was pretty cool. He was so passionate. Highly recommend! We also got their tiramisu and I would say it was one of the best I had in italy.

01/10/2025: Cozy atmosphere. We had a bit of everything, from appetizers to main courses and desserts. The service was incredibly friendly, attentive, and humorous. Anyone in Schenna and the surrounding area should definitely not miss a visit.

06/08/2025: We had the Kaiserschmarrn and the three dumpling variations. Both were delicious, and I can highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

11/10/2025: A lovely inn with direct access to the road with a hairpin bend. Lots of motorcyclists. A very friendly and helpful waiter, the food was very good, and the prices were reasonable. You're rewarded with a beautiful view of the valley. Definitely worth a stop.

10/10/2025: An unexpectedly welcoming place, I didn't expect it to be, given its location on a hairpin bend leading to the Giovo Pass. Instead, the rooms and lounge have a beautiful view of the valley, and there's also a swimming pool with a sauna and a solarium terrace. Perfect. The only downside is the 7:30 PM cutoff for dinner, which is a bit early for us Italians.

18/10/2025: Everything was great, a family business with excellent food, highly recommended. We'd go back anytime!

04/10/2025: Homemade cuisine with local delicacies is topped off with hospitality, and the hosts are witty and welcoming. If you're hiking or climbing in the area, you should definitely stop by!
