We stopped here after visiting Tyrol Castle. The seating is fantastic with a view of the castle. A small but excellent menu – delicious food 😋 and everyone is incredibly friendly. A perfect place to stop for a break – top-notch!

The most beautiful view of Tyrol Castle and the Vinschgau Valley! Anyone who hasn't enjoyed a "Jause" (traditional Tyrolean snack) in the Sandgruberhof beer garden hasn't truly experienced the Merano Basin. We come here on every visit to South Tyrol and are always captivated anew by this breathtaking panorama. You simply sit at a table with a glass of the excellent white or red house wine, savor a first-class "Tyrolean Marende" (the speck, the cheese, the Vinschgerl rolls!), and let your gaze wander over the surrounding mountain peaks. You simply can't stop looking! Pure, unadulterated pleasure! 😀

Legendary view of Tyrol Castle, moderate prices and very good food with traditional Tyrolean flair

Simply wonderful; we were there with two children. The homemade food was fantastic (pasta and quark dumplings), you could taste the difference. A very lovely hostess!

A great spot in good weather. Fast service, delicious food and fair prices. We'll gladly come again.

We went there for dinner. The food was excellent, and the service was very friendly. We had a great time. The drinks were cold and served promptly. It must be very crowded in the summer, given the fantastic view of Tyrol Castle. Don't forget sunscreen, as the evening sun can be quite strong in the lovely beer garden. We'd love to come back again when we're in the area.

Very tasty local food, friendly, fast, and an amazing view. Good prices as well - two drinks, two main courses and a coffee and dessert were about 45€. The walk around it in both directions is clean, well paved, with benches if going towards the bus station.

So delicious, authentic, and beautiful 🫶 Dreamy! We'll definitely be back.
