23/08/2025: We looked for places in Cefalù through the Michelin Guide, they were all full except this one, and we understood why! The dishes were bland, but the worst thing of all was the service, very slow, even though there were only 4 people in total, and also never a smile and total listlessness on the part of the waiters. Absolutely not up to the standard of the Michelin Guide.

09/08/2025: A slightly critical five stars. There are some real strengths here, but it's not a perfect experience either. We tried five dishes (two starter, two pastas, one main) and the pastas were by far the strongest element. I feel like (non-Italians, at least) are constantly chasing elusive highs when it comes to pasta, where the textures and richness just come together into completely satisfying mouthfuls. Both pasta dishes we tried achieved this in different ways, for me the spaghetti was the standout. Both were elevated but not a huge departure from tradition (nor, sadly, huge portions - I could have eaten five times as much and been taken home strapped on the back of a vespa). The main was solid - grilled squid, came together nicely with the chickpea miso and other elements. I think you could probably do more with squid this good, but it's a strong dish. Oh I'll also mention the bread here - whoever is in the kitchen really gets their carbs, they're making absolutely fantastic bread as well as pasta. Where I was more skeptical was the starters. This should be the space where the kitchen is having the most fun - smaller portions and the fact that if someone doesn't like it, you have multiple courses to make them still leave happy means that you can really push the envelope if you want to. But here, the envelope remained pretty unpushed. The raw shrimp with citrus was fine, but only fine - fun presentation (I honestly thought they were baby carrots at first) but ultimately not more than the sum of its parts. The grilled onion was in theory more interesting - taking typical Sicilian ingredients and adding umami sources - but in the end there was nothing hugely unexpected about the taste and textures and you're just kind of sitting there thinking "damn, I just paid more than 20 euro for an onion". The price/quality ratio just isn't quite there for the starters - honestly just order an extra pasta for the same price. The question of fun is also important because while the service was professional and attentive, the vibe is currently dour. This is the height of the tourist season, and the restaurant is mostly empty in a Friday night, and the staff know it. That sucks, and they deserve better tbh - there is much worse food for not that much less to be found in crowded restaurants all over town. But this year at least, people are willing to pay for sea views over better food. Lastly, the wine was very good, and accommodating of ordering by the glass. Not the biggest cellar in town, but if you like your wines more natural or offbeat it's a well curated list. Overall, I'd recommend Qualia - but it probably needs to reinvent itself soon. I'd go back tonight if they agreed to sell me a bigger proportion of pasta and a glass or two of well-sourced wine, and honestly that feels more like the restaurant Cefalù needs.

16/06/2025: Mister Yogi (Carmelo) is such a nice genuine guy. Crepes and Gelato (and other desserts) with a huge smile. Absolutely a must stop when visiting Cefalu!!

09/06/2025: I know in the land of gelato it seems ridiculous to rave about frozen yoghurt but that’s exactly what I’m about to do! Mister Yoggi has the best frozen yoghurt I’ve ever had! It’s extremely well priced- 4 euros for a grande. The service is exceptional! Although we’ve only had the frozen yoghurt (which we ordered an obscene amount of times during our stay in Cefalu) they also have bubble waffles, crepes, pancakes, granita and gelato. All of which look delicious. When ordering the yoghurt you can choose between 3 sizes and then choose 2 sauces (one for the bottom of the cup and one for on top of the yoghurt) as well as a topping. The pistachio sauce is to die for and an absolutely must try!

13/09/2025: We called into the pub to watch an Ireland match and from the first minute we were made to feel at home. Francesco is the friendliest person we encountered on our holiday in Sicily, he looks after all his customers like they are apart of his family and we indeed met his equally sociable brother Davide who was visiting. We chatted for hours and had such a memorable night. We had such a great time we came back for a 2nd Ireland match a few days later. Unfortunately we couldn't get a win in either game but we left happy nevertheless due to hospitality we received from Francesco, his family and staff (and the great cocktails and beers might have helped with that too!)

10/09/2025: Nice pub, but to call it a pub you need to have at least 7/8 beers on tap, not 3 or 4 at most. Messina beer is still good.

15/08/2025: Inspired by the excellent reviews, I came to try this focacceria, and what can I say? I was honestly a little disappointed. I tried the panino cunzato, and for €4, I honestly expected a slightly larger sandwich. And when I asked my friend from Palermo to try it, he confirmed that it was okay, but nothing more. Of course, I don't question the quality of the ingredients, because the bread was good, and even the pieces of rotisserie I saw on display were beautiful. Regarding the service, I find it really rude to show a clear preference for local customers and less attention to tourists. The price is the same. And even being rude, as happened to me (for no reason, by the way), isn't good publicity.

17/07/2025: Locale carino ed accogliente sia per la sala interna che per i tavoli all'esterno. Personale cortese ed alla mano, menù molto vario con una gran varietà di cibi sfiziosi. Consiglio l'aperitoast, piatto ricchissimo do varietà di sfiziosita' con aperitivo alcolico a scelta ad un prezzo veramente irrisorio. Da uno a 10,consiglio 11!

19/07/2025: If you are looking for a reasonably priced Michelin-worthy restaurant, this is a good choice. If you are expecting the quality of a starred restaurant, you may be a little disappointed, but overall, in Cefalu, where prices are high, this is a satisfactory level.

13/09/2025: A unique place. A gem in a touristy town like Cefalù. Refined cuisine that combines local ingredients with flavor. You can tell there's a lot of passion and dedication behind it. The wine list is more than honest and extensive, offering something for every palate. In short, a gem not to be missed in Cefalù. Centrally located yet easily accessible for those driving, as it's right next to the ZTL (limited traffic zone).

12/09/2025: The service was excellent! If you have the opportunity to try this restaurant while in Cefalu definitely try it! The pasta with zucchini was delicious.

01/07/2025: too expansive actually. 21 euros for tartare di tonno (tuna tartar)? 24 euros for mixed seafood spaghetti??And the pawn i think is not fresh.. Although the waiter is nice, but thats too much...

30/06/2025: Very nice place located in the center of Cefalù, we had dinner with two first courses and two glasses of local wine, welcomed very well by the owner who is in the dining room and his son who is in the kitchen. Very fresh raw materials and excellent value for money for being in Cefalù.

06/09/2025: Passing through Sant'Ambrogio, we found this trattoria with a pleasant sea view. A rustic setting, traditional dishes, and prompt, attentive service. We recommend the spaghetti with squid ink and spaghetti with clams and lupini beans...delicious!

14/09/2025: Galleria has a lovely vibe which is different to many of the other places in Cefalù. It is has a spacious courtyard off the street which has been de orated with a modern feel. As others have said the food is fantastic. They had live music when we were there, which I am not usually a fan of for dinner. However, they hit the mark.

10/07/2025: This pizzeria is perfectly located near the beach – ideal for grabbing a pizza to go. The quality is excellent: perfect dough, fresh ingredients, and very fair prices. Service is quick and friendly. Highly recommended for a tasty beachside meal!
