29/04/2026: We went to dinner at this restaurant on the evening of April 25th, and despite it being a holiday, it was packed, but not overwhelming. The staff was helpful and very welcoming, prompt with both the reservation and the service. We ordered four pizzas and an appetizer of fries; the ingredients were truly good and flavorful, and the dough was light. My only criticism was that the prosciutto was a bit salty, and the mozzarella wasn't melted very well, but these are small things that often don't depend on the staff.
Otherwise, a very nice experience, and I highly recommend this Bistro!

18/06/2026: Everything was perfect, the owner is very kind and friendly, as are all the guys who work there. Not to mention the delicious kebab I ate, and they even have a kebab machine that cuts one kebab! I've never seen a better kebab shop.
12/06/2026: Food was ok, lavash did not hold all the mixed veggies and meat, was a bit soggy. Great service, my suggestion would be turn off few lights inside to get the atmosphere more welcoming and avoid flies inside.

05/06/2026: The food was average at best. The scampi we ordered had intestines full of feces that hadn't been pulled, which was disgusting. Our complaint was met with a shrug. Definitely not recommended.
29/05/2026: Salmon salad pleasant but could have done with a bit more salmon . The chicken ala forno not quite what was expected but tasty. Service good & friendly. Price reasonable

21/10/2025: We also ate here without checking reviews sadly. The tuna with onions and mint should be avoided. Grey overcooked and terrible! They do really try to sell the catch of the day so they can rip you off! We had a bottle of local red wine which in a supermarket is €6 euros and the owner tried to charge €45.00!!

02/08/2025: This looks like any other seaside restaurant, but my wife and I liked the look of the menu so decided to give it a try. What a great decision! The service was so welcoming - all the staff are very kind, friendly and efficient. I had lasagne and my wife had a vegetarian pizza. Both dishes were among the best we’ve had in Italy and that includes our jaunt to Naples last summer, let alone our other other meals round these parts! We’ll definitely go back - yum, yum, yum!!!

25/04/2025: Abbiamo cenato questa sera da Pippo Lupo di Mare, il personale è molto gentile e simpatico. La cucina molto buona e originale, non banale. Ottimi gli arancini di riso al nero di seppia e le polpette di neonata!

11/04/2025: Amazing spot right on the promenade. We were walk ins and got a great table. Music was at a level that was spot on and enjoyable.
Antonia looked after us & made our time pass delightfully. She steered us to have a lovely local etna white wine. The seafood was excellent and the highlight was the octopus.
To seal the deal we had a fab local limoncello.
All in all the best meal and most relaxing restaurant we enjoyed in Sicily.

Dal momento in cui siamo entrati, siamo stati avvolti da un’atmosfera calda ed elegante.
Il personale è stato semplicemente impeccabile: accogliente, sorridente e attento ad ogni dettaglio, capace di farci sentire coccolati senza mai risultare invadente.
I piatti sono stati un vero viaggio di sapori: presentazioni curate come opere d’arte, ingredienti freschissimi e abbinamenti raffinati che hanno saputo sorprendere il palato ad ogni portata. Dall’antipasto al caffè e sopratutto ammazzacaffe , ogni assaggio raccontava passione, tecnica e amore per la cucina.
In poche parole: una serata magica che ci ha lasciato il sorriso e la voglia di tornare al più presto. Complimenti a tutto lo staff per aver trasformato una semplice cena in un ricordo speciale.

10/08/2025: Una volta scoperto, siamo tornati da Capitano Uncino per ben tre volte nella nostra settimana di vacanza a Taormina… e ogni volta è stata un’esperienza speciale!
Il locale è accogliente, con un’atmosfera familiare che ti fa sentire subito a casa. Il pesce è freschissimo, cucinato con semplicità e maestria: primi piatti di pesce superlativi, e gli involtini di pesce spada sono una vera poesia di sapori siciliani.
Il servizio è cordiale, veloce e attento: ogni cameriere ha un sorriso e una parola gentile.
Prezzi onestissimi per la qualità offerta!
Consigliatissimo a chi vuole assaporare la vera cucina di mare siciliana!.Non vediamo l’ora di tornare!
