20/04/2025: The owner, Andrea, is a very friendly and competent person and has been in the restaurant business for decades. His spit-roasted chickens are particularly good and well cooked. It offers take-away service and drinks on site with around forty seats available.

21/10/2024: Second stay at Hotel Nettuno and the first after the renovation. The renovation freshens up the look of the hotel while fitting the overall calm flair of the hotel. Some places (like the basement toilets or the garage) were left out and now don't fit into the more modern and clean style. Sadly the renovation also did not include the hotels/rooms heating, ventilation and air conditioning, which lead to (subjectively) uncomfortably high temperatures in the corridors and rooms, due to the fact that the AC was already switched to "winter mode" despite warmer temperatures, so it could only heat the room further but not cool it down. The only way to cool down my room was opening a window, which helped only a bit and was nearly constantly open over my stay. Room temperatures still were between 21°C and 24°C, which was way too warm for me (as already mentioned on check out). The new color scheme make the rooms brighter, which is an improvement compared to last year. All was clean and functioning, though the bathroom of my room (211) seemingly did not receive the same care during the renovation as the rest of the room (forgot to mention on check out). Noise sensible persons should pack some earplugs for slamming room doors, due to the automatic door closers (mentioned on check out as well) or not as soundproof walls as can be expected in newer hotels. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant improved compared to last year and was very good! Breakfast buffet is also very good, but a vegan milk option (e.g. oat milk) is missing (though I did not ask for it to be honest). The location of the hotel is perfect for those who like to visit Bardolino (10-20min to the center, depending on ability) or walk on the promenade of Lake Garda. Bike storage is possible in the garage, though there is no separate secured room to put them in.

06/04/2025: I am without words...I consider myself something of a foodie, and Chef Antonio has blown me away. His authentic passion for traditional ingredients, many from the garden, is contagious. EF was fortunate enough to book us a cooking class, so we ate what we helped prepare. Without exception his dedication to simple traditional ingredients and skills and preparation exceeded any expectations. I cannot give any higher recommendation.

08/05/2025: There are restaurants where you go to eat and others where you go to have an experience. This place, a small jewel of warmth and authenticity, certainly belongs to the second category. From the first moment, the hospitality of the owners transformed a simple dinner into a special evening. Very sweet, attentive and passionate, they spoiled us with care and kindness, making each guest feel like a member of their big family. But beyond their sincere smile, the place contains a fascinating history waiting to be discovered. Every corner speaks of tradition, of a journey of dedication and love for cooking which is reflected in the dishes served. And speaking of dishes, each course was a caress for the palate. Authentic flavours, carefully chosen ingredients and preparations that express the passion for good food. Here you don't just eat, you savor every bite with the pleasure of knowing you are in the right place, almost as if we were at home Lunch was so pleasant that we couldn't help but return in the evening, once again allowing ourselves to be spoiled with the same warmth we found the first time. When a place has the power to make you feel at home despite being outside, it means it has something truly special. And this restaurant is, without a doubt. I will return again and again, because certain experiences deserve to be relived.

07/05/2025: The wine and food (mainly seafood) smelled, we left the food and wine there and had to go to another restaurant, after returning the wine they put it back in the fridge and I assume that the guests will get it after us

16/04/2025: Had a drink here, then paid the bill twice. We went back to clear up this misunderstanding, but they did not cooperate and reacted very angrily. Don't go!!!!!

10/04/2025: Only came for gelato, so I cannot comment on the other stuff (so far) but it is delicious and we came back to visit again 😌 it's very clean and they are kind and helpful too

22/04/2025: Congratulations for announcing a place open for children with opening hours knowing full well that you are closed. There is a pre-programmed “temporary closure” button on your Google account, for seasonal management of your professional space! It takes a few seconds. Bravissimo

20/05/2025: Yeah, sincerely one of the best meals I’ve had, and has only left me wanting more. The tuna tartare and the sea urchin spaghetti were out of this world. Their caponata was also delicious. The owner was very welcoming as were the people serving us. If I lived in the area I would go here every day. The location is also very intimate - just go.

17/05/2025: Frozen fish and hidden charges. Lovely views but the food let it down. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

26/05/2025: after asking the staff if gluten-free pizza was available and having confirmation that it was available, when it came time to take the order, we were told the opposite. plus two of us (six in total) had stomach aches, and one of the pizzas arrived after two hours, and raw to boot. not to mention the cleanliness of the bathroom. still a place not to recommend, plus the staff is very unhelpful.

24/04/2025: 0.4cl beer for 16 euros? Hacks? The large beer is served without asking what size you would like, while 0.3cl costs 7 EUR. Billing was also incorrect. Juice shop

07/04/2025: C'était l'un des rares restaurants ouverts un lundi midi début avril et nous ne l'avons pas regretté. La pizza Parma était délicieuse et bien garnie. Puis sur les conseils de l'adorable serveur nous avons choisi l'excellent tiramisu.

22/08/2024: The location isn't that great, however the service is discreet, the pizza has nothing special and yet overall it was a good pizza despite the sausage which in my opinion is not the best I've ever eaten. 3 stars.

30/03/2025: This spot is great, not sure what these bad reviews are, they had to have gotten better staff since. There are super friendly and very nice. Great food and drinks too. The owner gave us a pizza for free, we came yesterday and today, and probably coming tomorrow as well.
