26/03/2024: Verdura Golf & Spa Resort is a top class 5 star resort, should be. On the positive side: very well trained, very nice staff who are available to answer any questions you may have. All processes are extremely standardized, nothing is left to chance. The rooms are very large, well equipped, nothing is missing here and everything is prepared so that the guest feels welcome and comfortable. The arrangement of the individual guest houses and the entire complex is architecturally excellent, the complex is spacious and spacious, the external and internal appearance of all buildings follows a uniform line, the color scheme is predominantly beige or earth-colored, much of it is decorated in local natural stone. The rooms have spacious balconies or terraces. The balconies have seating and a table, the terraces also have loungers. The view of the sea from all rooms is breathtaking. The breakfast is richly presented and everyone will find something to their taste to start the day. The staff is very attentive, friendly and quick. Many bicycles are available on site to bridge the sometimes stately paths. Here the technical staff could look a little more carefully and remove the "corpses" without air on the tires and without a saddle from traffic and repair them. SPA: the pool is spacious, I would say almost 25 meters long, the water is at a good temperature. The Thalasso outdoor pools are architecturally well done and varied. A nice opportunity to relax in the water pools of different temperatures or just sunbathe on the loungers. The hammam is beautifully designed and very spacious. On the negative side: the golf course was a bit unkempt at the beginning of the season, March 24th. Bunkers, greens and fairways urgently need more attention and special care. What is disappointing is the fact that the 19th hole appears to be closed. No refreshment is possible in the bar immediately after the round! The older trolleys need to be sorted out. On the first day I had a copy that constantly wanted to drive to the right, but otherwise it was a pretty rusty rattle machine. But there are also other trolleys, type JuCad/TiCad, so it works. Another point of criticism is the pricing in the bar/terrace area. A simple club sandwich for €34, I don't think I've ever seen that before, a few slices of toast with garnish. The prices for a small bottle of beer (around €9) or wine are also exorbitant. A cocktail, not very big and opulent, 17€, the prices are not even found in chic cocktail bars in big cities. The amount charged for the minibar in the room is also too high. If you really need that as a contribution margin, it's better to make the room prices more expensive and the extras cheaper. Otherwise this will annoy the guests. I also think that lower prices would bring more sales overall. The seafood restaurant on the beach has a fantastic range of seafood. Unfortunately the map is only available in Italian. Dear management! Not everyone in this world speaks Italian! SPA: The sauna does not meet any standard, the benches are much too narrow, approx. 60 cm, the sauna cabin is also much too small, the temperature is too cool, approx. below 70°C, the oven has not been serviced for years, it is lying only stone dust as a muddy mass between the heating elements, maybe that's why the sauna heater doesn't bring a different temperature? Pietro shows up with a thank you, but in the end you will all be the ones to thank these few hours immersed in numerous and unusual cuts of meat, with different destinies, over 50 cuts that you can choose from. Cuts to be transformed in a thousand ways, but always with the delicacy of expert grilling to preserve their flavour, succulence and tenderness. The tartares are superb and are served with carpaccio as an opening, with gourmet crostini which already heralds what is to come. Cutting boards that you can compose with the many types of meat from all over the world make this place one of the best in the Agrigento gastronomic scene. The selection of wines is excellent, to be enjoyed in complete tranquility in the private room, and then completed with a delicious selection of sweets and bitters. Price in line with the quality you can't expect surprises I would say excellent. Excellent service. The only problem …. That we need to go back.

07/04/2024: I expected More Based on Reviews My husband and I were very disappointed. Despite positive reviews, our dishes were cold with congealed sauces( the mushroom piles looked like animal droppings!), and service was unfriendly. The nearly empty restaurant didn’t help the atmosphere. The redeeming qualities were the view and a good wine list. However, paying over $100 for two dishes and wine for two didn't feel worth it given the food and service quality. Left feeling let down and would not recommend to anyone.

26/03/2024: Unique experience with truly professional hospitality and service. Fantastic environment where dining was a pleasure. Artfully designed dishes with extraordinary flavors and compositions. We ate truly one-of-a-kind dishes and it was really enjoyable. Price is normal for that type of cuisine and good value for money. Congratulations to the chef who really deserves to be starred.

29/03/2024: The quality of the products is great. As you can see if you order the raw seafood appetizer. But when they try to cook it, then is when things start to go bad. It’s sad to see such beautiful seafood cooked as poorly as I saw today. I had a 1.200kg lobster with pasta, and it was chewy and bland. The pasta was good as expected in Italy, but the lobster died for no reason. The waitress was not very helpful and sure she didn’t want to be there. Didn’t try to help us at all. When she was weighting our lobster there was a cigarette package next to the scale. Maybe I’m being too critical, but in my opinion this is unacceptable. You see, the raw seafood platter showed us what to expect: the razor clams, such beautiful animal, seamed to had been opened with a machete, the flesh was completely destroyed. That’s a good preview of what the rest of the dinner was going to be like. Tourists like myself should be more prepared to eat bad food in Italy. We come here with such great expectations, but actually most of the restaurantes are terrible like this one. The only difference is that this one was specially expensive, something like 80 euros per capta. With this kind of money you expect something at least a little less amateur. This restaurant is an great example of what to avoid when in Sicily
