Focacceria Panineria DAL 1965 In Agrigento

A small, very authentic place to try typical Sicilian sandwiches. We tried two that I think are their specialties: "Panino con Milza" (spleen sandwich) and "Panino con Panelle" (chickpea fritter sandwich). At first, they might seem a little strange, but they're delicious and very original.

We came here seemingly during the busiest time of the evening, so we had to wait a bit for our panini, but the wait was very much worth it. We came back the next day again to try different ones, this time they were ready in about 5 minutes, and were equally as good!

Having arrived from Milan last night, as my first stop, I couldn't help but stop by to say hello to Antonio and eat his spleen sandwich. Fantastic, keep it up!

While traveling with my family in Sicily, we naturally stopped by the Valle dei Templi di Agrigento. And based on reviews, I found this Antica Panetteria d'1965 with its delicious and unusual sandwiches. I, of course, tried the Panino con la milza—very tasty, with a variety of fillings. It's also very affordable. I recommend it to anyone visiting Agrigento.

Normally large. The signature sandwich is probably not for everyone, I liked it. The hot dog is deliciously big :)

If you want to enjoy traditional Agrigento delicacies, this is the place to be—in fact, the best. Spleen sandwich: a must! Everything they prepare is a must for anyone visiting Agrigento. The staff is courteous and attentive. The history of traditional cuisine is there. Tip: To avoid the obvious crowds, make a reservation or arrive well before regular meal times. A must-try!!!

Absolutely recommended! You can meet the taste of Sicily 🤌 Panino con Milza(zito) is true charm of Agrigento. You should try it if you visit Sicily. Very authentic local vibes. 👍
