05/04/2026: We had dinner at this restaurant in Castrofilippo, and unfortunately, the experience was anything but pleasant. * Stiff welcome: Despite having booked, we were insistently made to feel guilty about our lateness. I understand the importance of punctuality in the restaurant industry, but there are ways and means to communicate this to a customer who is paying for a service. * Surreal service: The low point of the evening came at the end of dinner. After purchasing an ice cream, we asked for a simple spoon to eat it. The staff's response? "Wait until it melts." I find it unacceptable that a business would respond with such sarcasm and laziness to a basic request. A customer should never feel like a "bother," especially for something as inexpensive as a plastic or metal spoon. * Conclusion: If you're looking for a welcoming atmosphere and professional service, I recommend looking elsewhere. Kindness is not a given here.

The fish-based starters and appetizers were characterless and almost tasteless. I'm sorry, but my expectations were really high. The service was impeccable; attentive and fast.

11/08/2026: A truly wonderful experience. Mille e una Notte is one of those restaurants where you don't just go for dinner, you live an experience. The location is stunning and has a truly unique atmosphere. We dined in the cave, one of the restaurant's dining rooms, and I must say it was truly magical: an evocative, intimate setting that made the evening even more special. Impeccable service: extremely attentive staff, present without being intrusive, and above all, incredibly fast. We felt looked after and pampered throughout the dinner, with that care for the customer that truly makes the difference. The cuisine was also absolutely top-notch: delicious dishes, beautifully presented, and made with the highest-quality ingredients. You can sense the research, care, and respect for the ingredients. When a restaurant manages to combine such a unique location, excellent cuisine, and service of this level, the result is evident. After trying it myself, I completely understand why Mille e una Notte won 4 Restaurants. One of the most beautiful experiences of our holiday in Lampedusa. Highly recommended and definitely a place I'd love to return to.
