19/07/2026: We've been there several times. Everything is perfect, no complaints. Just so you know, it's a lounge, not a restaurant.

13/07/2026: Ever since its old location in the piazzetta, this bar has been a regular stop in Porto Cervo for years, the go-to place after a day sailing in La Maddalena. Until yesterday, when we were treated with disarming vulgarity and shortsighted commercialism. Arriving at a deserted bar on a stiflingly hot day, we were denied one of the shaded tables because it was "reserved." A peculiar excuse, to say the least, given that every year, at least a month in advance, I personally check the possibility of securing a table and am always told that reservations for the high season are suspended. Evidently, the rules here are applied selectively and with rather questionable criteria. I had never encountered such unpleasant management. Although I decided to overlook the matter, unconvinced, my wife insisted on leaving immediately: after hours at sea, it was unacceptable to stay drinking under the scorching sun, treated like casual tourists by utterly insensitive staff. If this is the new level of hospitality reserved for loyal customers, we are forced to acknowledge that this little Gallura tradition of ours is over.

04/05/2026: Though the virtue of a hotel and its stars lie in its grander, location, ambience , Resturant’s , pools , the spa and Hotel Cala Di Volpe Costa Smeralda aces in all these accolade. However these 5 stars shining most brilliantly in the sky of hotels are pale in comparison to the pleasant smiling faced stars , in the doorways , the hallways , behind the concierge desk reception desk, the restaurants. The hotel experience starts even before you enter the doors with the bell men who welcome with a smile and with alacrity. In the few days we stayed he did not once let us even open the door. One has hardly entered the doors when a reception team welcomes every member of the family individually and take you to the room efficiently. This letter would not be consummate if I forget to acknowledge the excellent concierge service and the delectable breakfast. “One awake day in Cala Di Volpi with those you love is better than a whole life time of dreams. 27/07/2026: In fact, apart from the magnificent setting, this place is a money grab. No matter what cocktail you order, it will cost you €25 and a glass of water €10??? Really? Given the entrance fee, you can't even sit down. Keep walking, there are better things to see in Sardinia.

26/07/2026: It would be appropriate to provide seats even for those who only pay the entrance fee, which is already expensive, without taking the table instead of making us sit on the rocks like tramps

10/06/2026: Wow, super duper good local food with perfect service ✨

06/06/2026: We arrived relatively early, shortly before 7:30 pm, so we still had a good selection of tables for two. The service was quite quick; we received two business cards with QR codes, as well as a physical food and drink menu. Unfortunately, it was only in English and Italian. Since I speak Italian, it wasn't a problem for me to understand the menu. Unfortunately, only large bottles of water were served. The beer was served in an iced glass – a nice touch. The starter, a mixed salad for us, was prepared for two people upon request, meaning each of us received a separate plate with the salad. The main course, spaghettone con frutti di mare, was excellent, served with a small plate and a refreshing towel. Kudos! My partner's calzone was also excellent. The wines (Cannonau di Sardegna / Vermentino di Gallura) were served beautifully by the glass. The crema catalana pâté e riduzione al mirto was simply divine. I can personally highly recommend Ristorante La Sciumara. The service staff are attentive, courteous, polite, and very competent.

26/06/2026: A feast of typical Sardinian fares in a quiet “home like” setting. This was one of our pre-planned meals of our 2 week Sardinian trip and it did not disappoint. Every course of our prefix menu tasted delicious. The portions were generous without being overwhelming (I hate wasting food and some places over do it) and courses spaced out just right to not feel rushed nor waiting too long between them. The view over the mountains and the valley from the terrace table was wonderful, especially as the colors kept shifting on the landscape with the setting sun. The staff was very friendly and attentive too. If you’re looking to experience a local favorite and are open to just explore the regional cuisine this place is a great spot to do so. I was personally most excited about the suckling pig and it did not disappoint. The skin was crisped perfectly and the meat tender and moist, truly mouth watering. Multi course meal for four, 1l of wine, ice-teas, 2 digestives and 2 water set us back less than €40 per person.
