17/10/2025: Where do I start… this is my cozy place to go. The staff is super kind and friendly, the food is great, I love the new menu, and the beers, and the atmosphere, and the concept. My favourite spot is at the counter.

21/12/2025: In my six days of dining in Cagliari, this "osteria" (a title I think is too humble for their level of cuisine) was by far my best experience. Let's start with the food: excellent! Fresh and abundant mussels au gratin as an appetizer, followed by two surprising grilled soles that I'd never enjoyed cooked that way. A unique myrtle panna cotta concluded the excellent dinner. The portions are truly generous, especially the first courses (150g of pasta per portion), and the waiters are right to emphasize this, to avoid wasting food by over-ordering. The staff is truly kind and friendly and has the patience to recommend the right dishes and pairings. The place is pleasant and well-decorated, although, crowded as it is on a Friday night, it can be noisy. Finally, the price is truly fair for the quality and service offered. A place not to be missed! Update 2025: The food is always excellent, prices have risen a bit. The men's toilet has a broken latch, making the door unusable: it would be easy to replace! They tend to only give preliminary bills, then "forget" to issue a receipt at checkout, which I've already noticed a few times.

17/12/2025: After reading excellent reviews, I went for dinner alone. Appetizer: gratinated mussels, good but too many. First course: seafood macaroni, I only tasted them, inedible. The pan with food for three people had three inches of cooking water at the bottom, "not even a soup." 2 decent scampi, 15-20 overcooked, mushy shrimp, plenty of mussels and clams, as was the sand, zero flavor. 1 sorbet, 1 glass of Vermentino, and purified water for a total of €42.00. When the owner (?) realized I didn't like it, she made sure to say the dish was good and prepared as always. I was definitely unlucky. Luckily, Cagliari has so many other fantastic trattorias!

26/05/2026: The food is simple but good, with decent portions and good quality. The prices are reasonable. The ambiance is rather basic but acceptable. Unfortunately, there's no decent outdoor seating area. The staff is very friendly.

26/05/2026: Don't be put off by the "No Entry" sign on the gate and the restaurant's hidden entrance. The food was absolutely delicious. We had seafood salad, pizza, linguine with seafood, sea bream, and a kids' burger with fries. Very friendly service. We would definitely come back.

19/05/2026: What more can I say that hasn't already been said, except for the owner's grumpy nature, which is part of his charm 🤩 When I come to Cagliari, this has been my favorite restaurant for 20 years, passed down from father to son. It's especially good value for money, a must-try if you're in Cagliari, and everything is fresh. Don't be fooled by the exterior; it has nothing to do with the quality of the place. If you want to be transported back 30 years, nothing has changed. Absolutely try it! Thank you, owner, everything was excellent. P.S. They only serve fish, no meat or pasta.

17/05/2026: Terrible service, waiter who slammed everything he touched, shouting for orders, no menu at the table and when you ask for pasta? No today it's not done 😢 for goodness sake!! Really small appetizers with little and bland seasoning like the tuna, little bread and the wait between the beginning, during and after is really long given that there is only one waiter and he runs from one side to the other all sweaty not to mention the dirty place and everything needs to be overhauled.. never again!!!!

12/11/2025: A little gem in the heart of Cagliari! Borromini Caffè is truly a delightful discovery: a welcoming atmosphere, great prices, and excellent quality in everything they offer. It's rare to find a place where you can spend so little and leave so satisfied! A special thanks to the lady who served us, truly kind and smiling: her courtesy made the experience even more enjoyable. You can tell that customer service is a real priority here. Whether for breakfast, a quick coffee, or a more relaxed break, Borromini Caffè is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back! ☕💛

10/05/2026: A nice, casual place, with outdoor seating and sometimes live music. We found a table right away, but it was the last one. We were lucky. The place is good and popular, but the tables can sometimes be full. The beer is good, and the bruschetta is good too.

07/12/2025: Birthday dinner with a group of 11 adults and one child. The pizza was truly excellent, with top-notch dough and cooking. It's a shame the service didn't live up to the quality of the food. Upon arrival, I waited a few minutes with the cake in hand, and considering we were celebrating a birthday, a simple greeting or a little attention would have made a difference. Throughout the evening, a waitress often seemed unresponsive to requests and less than cordial, causing some confusion. At the end of the dinner, another unpleasant situation arose: about ten minutes before midnight, we were told that anyone wanting to pay by card would have to do so quickly, otherwise it wouldn't be possible. This created a bit of pressure on the entire table. Furthermore, I had asked for the cake service to be deducted from the bill, but was told this wasn't possible. The final bill was the most complicated aspect: despite repeatedly asking for confirmation of the amounts, I was told that €44 was missing. I collected all the guests' receipts, explaining that two people had paid in cash, and only after the fourth check did they admit the mistake, though without apologizing. Not even when saying goodbye was there a gesture of courtesy, which would have been appreciated on a festive occasion. In summary: excellent pizza, a decent place, but the service and management of the dining room need revising, especially when hosting groups and special occasions. I give it 3 stars because the quality of the food is worthy, but the overall experience could have been significantly more refined.

19/09/2025: The ideal place to discover Sardinian tradition and its quality ingredients. Fresh bread, panadine, jams, and other excellent products. I tried the culurgiones, which I absolutely recommend everyone to try. Takeout is also available for events and parties.

23/03/2026: I didn't expect it to be so beautiful. L'Ambasciata is a small, charming hotel in the Marina district, one of Cagliari's liveliest and most authentic neighborhoods. Its central location makes it worth the stay. The rooms are small—only ten—and each is dedicated to a Sardinian beach. The attention to detail is immediately apparent, as are the cleanliness and comfort. I slept great. The staff was friendly without being intrusive, always available to offer advice about the city. Breakfast is simple, but good and varied. In short, it's one of those places where you wake up in the morning and are happy to be there. I'll be back.

21/03/2026: My room was large enough, cosy and clean. Only the bathroom need some renewal, especialy the shower. The hotel is near for everything. The heating system worked well. I didn't like the rooftop door was always open and I always closed, because it was a bit cold outside. The staff was kind.

16/04/2026: I'll start by saying that I was drawn to the aroma that wafts out from the bar early in the morning. Today I finally managed to get in, and besides having eaten the best fried donut in 10 years—very light, not greasy, and with zero oil flavor—I'm mainly leaving this review for the two guys serving. There was a lot of traffic, and the place was clearly understaffed. Extremely professional, always smiling and impatient, they juggled the cash register, dozens of coffees, table orders, and clearing the tables. I've managed restaurants abroad, and finally here I see people who know how to work and, above all, MAKE A DIFFERENCE, smiling and knowing how to address the customer. I advise the owner to treat them with care. New customer acquired!
