24/01/2026: A very welcoming bar, restaurant, and pizzeria, fully stocked, located near the bus terminal, just a few steps away. The owner and staff are very courteous, friendly, kind, and always available; just ask them for anything. Excellent local cuisine, not to mention the fresh pasta they use, which is out of this world. A la carte menu, and no waiting for a table. Delicious pizza and excellent desserts, especially the ones they make fresh. Highly recommended to all tourists and locals. 💯👏🥰
03/01/2026: On our last evening in San Giovanni Rotondo, we were looking for a place to eat something without being ripped off again because we were tourists.
We went into this place and ordered some rustici and ate them on the spot. The place is air-conditioned (it's very cold outside). Everything was good, lots of choice, and especially my kids (who are strict judges) loved it!
Five rustici, two cans of soda, and a bottle of water for €20... what can I say? EXCELLENT! Recommended...go there!

A warm welcome worthy of a business card.
Qualified staff available to accommodate guests' requests.
A varied menu and very tasty food, all accompanied by a good wine.
19/10/2025: I'd heard so much about this place, but I'd never been there, until a friend of ours organized a pizza at Signor Cesare. The place is easy to find and has ample parking. Once inside, you immediately notice that it's not your average place, but the kind of place where details and refinement make the difference.
All the dishes are top-notch, especially the pizza. Congratulations!

02/08/2025: If you're looking for a simple evening out but still want a good slice of pizza, I highly recommend trying Michele's pizza. The owner is gruff, but only on the surface. I went there a few nights ago while I was in the beautiful San Giovanni Rotondo, and we took the opportunity to order some and eat it at my in-laws' house. My favorite is the paesana, but the other flavors are also good, like the spicy salami one. The panzerotti are excellent, and the "cavicione" is delicious, especially if made with local onions (definitely worth trying). Prices are fair and in line with the local average. They've become a regular stop for me every time I'm in Puglia. Well done!

30/01/2026: This restaurant, located just a few meters from the Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza hospital, offers a family atmosphere, with empathetic waiters, the wonderfully friendly employee Michele, and excellent cuisine.
I frequented this restaurant five days in a row for breakfast and dinner with my family, and we were delighted with the hospitality, the good food, and the excellent light-crust pizza!
Highly recommended. 🥰

18/10/2025: Alberto is nice and clean but the restaurant leaves much to be desired in the service of the waiters who do not give you time to finish your lunch and take away your plate and glasses, we were there 2 days and 2 nights, group trip of 28 people, poor quality food and poor cleanliness, dirty tablecloth and so they left it there, it's a shame because with this service the hotel loses out even though it is nice

However, I understand the tight preparation schedule, but all the ingredients should always be specified (piazza con i peperoni = Pizza with peppers and salami).

25/11/2025: A great place for a family evening. In the summer, there's also a lovely outdoor area separated from the main area. The food is good and the prices are average. They can also host children's birthday parties, though there are obviously no games.
24/10/2025: Misleading advertisement for half-liter non-alcoholic beer. I came to this pub and noticed their advertisement for a 0.5L non-alcoholic beer. When ordering, I asked for the advertised half-liter non-alcoholic beer. To my surprise, I was served a 0.33L bottle/glass for the same price as the 50cl one.

The owner is very kind and eager to resolve any issues. They also offer a free shuttle service to the sanctuary for guests.
07/12/2025: I have to say, I ordered a pizza at 8:30 PM last night. I was told over the phone that it would be ready at 8:35 PM. At 8:34 PM, there was a gray van outside my house. Very kind guy. Truly top notch.

17/12/2025: It's always nice to be welcomed with kindness, cleanliness, hygiene, and excellent food. The service is always excellent, with Mr. Matteo always present but discreetly managing to ensure that every course is thoroughly enjoyed. My compliments to the chefs in the kitchen.
