18/01/2025: Excellent tavern where you can taste many typical dishes with a homemade and tasty flavour! Excellent appetizers and first courses! Excellent quality meat and cooked to perfection!

11/02/2025: Sunday 11 August, We waited 20 minutes to order and 25 minutes for a capocollo appetizer. The waiter kindly offered us some white wine for the delay, which we appreciated. It's a shame, however, that when the tomato and cacioricotta orecchiette arrive, they bring us the orecchiette and a separate supermarket Cacioricotta sachet, already opened with a spoon placed inside. I understand it is a trattoria (even if the sign says Restaurant), but precisely because it is a typical dish and precisely because the dish costs €10... freshly grated fresh cheese was the minimum. Served obnoxiously (tall boy with glasses) and left for an hour on the outdoor table in the heat.. Furthermore, on the menu, the tomato-based orecchiette cost €10 but then they put €12 on the receipt, smart guys. To then say that the price was programmed wrong....meh Cover charge €2.50 not marked anywhere, surprise on the bill for stale bread and unprofessional service. Very bad experience, I strongly advise against it.

04/02/2025: Very small rooms and tables almost together, good food, good service, but too expensive for what you eat. You can't put a plate of pasta in the center of the table for everyone.... I understand that there is often waste and food has to be thrown away (wrong thing) but a plate of pasta for everyone is ridiculous... Then paying 40 €each......never again

11/02/2025: One of the restaurants in the Itria valley where you absolutely must stop. Enchanting place in the center of the town of Ceglie Messapica where you eat (well) and drink (better) without spending an arm and a leg. Familiar and comfortable environment for pleasant socializing.

01/01/2025: Pranzo del 1 Gen. non programmato. I titolari gentilissimi ci hanno accolto e coccolato all’interno graziosissimo locale, con a vista tutte le prelibatezze locali. Ottima carne alla griglia con i contorni del territorio, immancabile lo spumone e la piccola pasticceria secca. Da tornare!

12/02/2025: His fame precedes him! We had wanted to come here for a long time, and we found the opportunity on a quiet Saturday in February. The location is beautiful (as they now say), in the historic center of a well-kept Ceglie. The restaurant is divided into various rooms all in local stone and well kept; If I wanted to make a suggestion, I would try removing a couple of place settings per room, but the atmosphere is still pleasant and warm. A nice menu based on local ingredients. Very focused on vegetables, grains and meat (as it should be). Dishes that also have a beautiful stage presence, but which are focused on substance and flavours; I found olfactory and gustatory references to dishes from my childhood, even if the appearance and consistency of what I had in front of me was completely different. Bonus is the tasting of cheeses, which are refined by the owner: all (or almost all) produced in the area and all (or almost all) of the highest quality. I would make a note on the quantities (especially the second courses); I had difficulty finishing the donkey stew (I never leave anything on the plate, my limit) and the flavour, excellent but intense, challenged me, but I repeat, it's my limit, and I could have asked for a "doggy bag", which I have to learn to do. Courteous but somewhat alternating service; some difficulty in indicating a winery in the area and some "empty" during lunch, but nothing transcendental, everyone was kind and helpful. Wine list not particularly extensive and focused on the territory (I would add some Apulian bubbles). Fair account considering the raw material. A really good reference, the right place to introduce the flavors of this part of Puglia to acquaintances and friends from outside.

12/02/2025: One of the most renowned restaurants in Ceglie. It offers traditional dishes reworked in a "dissident" way (Cit. menu). Is it worth making a stop? Yes, assuming that we are a little higher than the average prices of local restaurants.

09/02/2025: Very good, simple and quality starters. Bombette and sausage are excellent, but the steak is less good. Very good tiramisu. Small place but perfect for spending a quiet Saturday evening. Good value for money!

29/01/2025: A really nice place with maximum value for money. My partner and I had lunch, we had two starters, really many courses and above all all of quality, then I had a mixed roast and she had a cut, both dishes were really of excellent quality, half a liter of house wine. I didn't do the fixed menu because by adding the first course to the starter, plus the second course, I think you can't even move. Overall, we were really happy. We will be back.

18/01/2025: Frequentiamo questo locale da anni e posso considerarlo una delle nostre garanzie!! Se vuoi mangiare ottimi panini con la carne o piatti e insalate, se vuoi tornare indietro nel tempo agli anni 70-80-90 e se vuoi scegliere la musica dal jukebox questo è il posto giusto!! Staff gentilissimo e alla mano!! Entrare in sala ed essere avvolti da schermi, luci e colori , giochi arcade ti fa capire già che hai fatto un'ottima scelta!!

29/12/2024: I had dinner at this place a few nights ago and I didn't leave very satisfied. My friend had a card that cost €11 for a sandwich+drink+chips, and the other 2 of us decided to do it at the cash register, shortly after the waitress came and told us to hurry. My friend asks for a sandwich from the manu and is told that that doesn't fit into the card (so I wonder what the point is?!). The sandwiches arrived and for the price paid I honestly expected more: my "chic" had to be with bacon and barbecue sauce which I must say was really wasted (look at the photo) and then looking at the menu they gave me bacon as an addition to €1.50. For €1.50 can you find me a single slice? Obscene. My friends had a Michael Jackson where even for them the pistachio pesto was really poor. Total €16.50. I don't think I will return

03/01/2025: In this very small pastry shop you can find the typical Ceglie biscuits... and they are truly out of this world😋... A delight for the palate!!

21/12/2024: If you want the Cegliese biscuit, you are in the right place. Recommended for those with a sweet tooth or not.
