Cibus In Ceglie messapica

Lovely place, with very tasty regional dishes. We shared the mixed antipasto, the stuffed artichokes, rabbit and fig gelato. The wines recommended (by the glass) were both very good. Staff were all switched on and very helpful.

Just wonderful. Cibus really cares about top quality ingredients served simply - the cornerstone of good Italian cooking! The service here is friendly and efficient, and the menu made sure to highlight seasonal ingredients at their best. I ordered the asparagus carbonara followed by the porcetta with fennel and citrus, with married fig ice cream for dessert. All were excellent, and very reasonably priced. Cibus also allowed us to bring our own white wine into the restaurant (we had come straight from a local wine tasting!) which was so appreciated. They kept it cold for us until our dishes arrived - brilliant service! The setting for this restaurant is chic without bring pretentious, instead coming across as welcoming and well-grounded. The surrounding streets are also quiet and very pretty! I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a romantic date night, a celebration with friends and family, or just a treat dinner. Thanks Cibus! ✨

One of the more fancy/expensive restaurants in Ceglie. The food is very good and really interesting. I ate their raviolo (1 giant raviolo, the size of the plate) and it was delicious. Would recommend!

Traditional dishes served with grace and originality

Booked late for a dinner for 2 and had to wait a while for the reservation to be confirmed. However, worth the wait. Cibus is a wonderful Puglain restaurant. The prices are not excessive, the quality of the dishes is very good. We enjoyed everything we had. Seasonal Antipasti, Fave, Coniglio and Lamb shank. Could not fit in a sweet dish at the end. Service became a little slow as they filled up, but not a problem for us as the ambience is nice. Good wine list too. If you are in the area, this is worth a journey to.

Unique family warmth and a location in the historic center of Ceglie. An unparalleled selection of wines and spirits... A great experience every time. A pleasant surprise: the orecchie di prete with their tops were delicious, the recommended pairing with susumaniello and the assortment of sweets.

It's a historic place. Great tradition and many accolades. Unfortunately, a bit of tiredness is noticeable. The service is fast and impersonal, a well-oiled and organized machine, but lacking the soul and passion of the past. The food, not bad but fairly ordinary, no longer has the punch that once characterized this place. A decidedly negative note was my cured meats appetizer: the salami was fine; the capocollo, while flavorful, was very dry and almost crunchy, and the pancetta lacked character. The cannelloni was acceptable, and the bean soup was well-made. The bocconotto and almond pastries were disappointing.
