25/02/2026: We've been coming to Bardolino for many, many years, up to ten times a year. So we really know every restaurant. Given the wide range of options in Bardolino, Casanova wasn't our first choice. Now, at the turn of the year, the lease changed hands. The new owner is Sergio. We've known him for a while from the Tempo bar across the street. Now he's also leased Casanova. A bold move! Naturally, we went to check it out. The restaurant has been attractively renovated, and the restrooms are spotless. The menu is extensive. We found the prices reasonable. The food was delicious, and the portions were very generous. My wife's octopus from the appetizer menu was enormous—more like a main course, really. The price of €26 for a good Prosecco was perfectly acceptable. We were there for lunch on Valentine's Day, February 14th. If Sergio can maintain this standard, he'll be successful in the market. We'll definitely be back in April. Highly recommended!

27/10/2025: Fantastic experience at this restaurant. I had the tagliolini with lobster and a Prosecco reduction, and they were truly delicious. I also tried my friend's seafood dish: that, too, received top marks. The service was exceptional. The waiter even opened the lobster for me, a truly appreciated touch. An added bonus: they offer a welcome aperitif and even a amaro/sorbet at the end of the meal. The food was top-notch, and the staff was impeccable. I highly recommend it and will be back soon!

02/03/2026: Kindness reigns supreme among the staff, nothing to complain about, and the prices are average too.... Well, there's a problem: in the room where pizzas and drinks are prepared, we saw things that made us very suspicious.... One of the pizza chefs coughed on his food while preparing the pizzas (they should use a device over his mouth to prevent this), right there in front of us all. The guy at the drinks counter recycled a glass of prosecco brought back to him by the waiter and poured it back into the open bottle, which he then put in the fridge. The glasses were quickly washed with a sponge and immediately reused for other diners without putting them in the dishwasher. It's a shame, because the pizza is good.

01/02/2026: A table for two was reserved yesterday at 7:30 PM. We realized we were 15 minutes late due to an unexpected event, and we called repeatedly to let them know. It's understandable given that it's Saturday night and peak time, so we insisted and finally managed to let them know. Arriving at 7:45 PM, we were told at the entrance that we'd be welcomed shortly. After a few minutes, we learned there was no table, and that they were offering us drinks while we waited. I appreciate the gesture, but there's no way a reserved table isn't available. I thank them and say goodbye. What a shame. The pizza is certainly excellent (just looking at it was enough). The tables are small and close together, so the room has a high number of seats for its size. But even this is more than acceptable and understandable. What isn't is not getting the table you reserve. Having also notified us and seen the reservation listed in the diary, I deduce that the owners knowingly decided to seat others at the table we reserved. I find this completely disrespectful. I repeat, I think the place is worth a visit. The thousands of reviews are accurate. I don't question the quality; I simply observed it. I reject the owner's decision.

01/03/2026: This place is great. It is located in a strange area and if you dont look at the reviews you may never enter. The food was amazing (one pizza, one tiramisu, one carbonara and one appetizer prosciutto). The staff was very helpful and pet friendly. The whole place has a vibe of traditional and rustic. Prices were great; for all the above and 1/4 wine total was 44.

26/02/2026: I stopped in for dinner on business, and I'm so glad I did. The staff were very courteous, attentive to even the most discerning of guests, and very knowledgeable about food and wine. The place is perfect for any occasion, whether for friends or family. I had an entrecote with truffles, which was excellent; the meat, cooked just the way I wanted it, melted in my mouth. The requested wine was present and excellent. Thank you for a wonderful evening, and congratulations on the desserts.

31/01/2026: 1 hour for 5 standard pizzas! I didn't order over the phone, so on a Friday night I was already expecting a wait, but 35 minutes after ordering, they ask me for my order because the computer system hadn't passed it to the kitchen... If that happens (which can happen), they try to speed things up, or at least, in addition to a verbal apology, maybe try to shorten the wait with something nice. NO, AS IF I WERE UNWANTED! I complained on the way out, but the waitress's expression was very "it's your problem." Terrible organization and nonexistent interpersonal skills. Now I'll also add that it's EMBARRASSING to find a "take-out waiting area" with all that clutter, from the jumble of cables on the counter to the perfume stand (in a pizzeria/restaurant???) covered in plastic wrap... To the people waiting for their pre-ordered pizzas, and the pizzas have been sitting on top of the coffee machine for 15 minutes... Obviously, all this is something you notice when you wait an hour; I had nothing to do! But then, not even a "can I get you something to drink while we wait for our mistake"?... Anyway, I get the answer: if the program didn't send, it's not our fault!

18/01/2026: Tried it by chance for a weekday lunch. The place was anonymous and very chaotic, especially since it was packed. The business menu didn't appeal to me, so I opted for a pizza, which I found to be very good and well-cooked, with some unusual toppings.

29/01/2026: A trattoria pizzeria off the beaten path in the area, but offering a good variety of traditional Veronese dishes. Excellent selection of pizzas, all well-prepared and cooked in a wood-fired oven. Very friendly staff, simple and informal atmosphere. Ample parking. Highly recommended.

20/01/2026: The only positive thing about our holiday in Peschiera for New Year's Eve 2025/26 was finding this simple but worthy restaurant, located far from the city center but still convenient, quiet, and with ample parking. The menu offers a varied selection of meat, fish, and pasta dishes, as well as many pizzas. My family and I found the food good and the portions generous on the restaurant menu the first night. The pasta dishes were a little bland (but better that than salty), but the pizza on the 31st was truly delicious, easy to digest, and well-filled. The prices were very reasonable, and above all, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I booked from home so as not to risk finding myself desperately searching on the last day, and from the first moment I was struck by the kindness of the lady who answered, which was later confirmed in person, both she and the staff who served us. If we return to Lake Garda, we will definitely stop at this beautiful place again.
