09/06/2026: Yesterday we went to Il Vecchio Violino for lunch, and it was a special occasion to reconnect with an old friend, Duffy, along with his family and Giorgia.
The food was simply exceptional: we started with an appetizer of bruschetta with stracciatella and cherry tomatoes, followed by exquisite peppered mussels and a fresh and crispy fried fish dish, divinely prepared with the catch of the day. Everything was accompanied by an excellent wine. To round things off, we had some truly delicious homemade desserts.
An experience worth repeating, and next time we'll definitely try the pizza too!

A fantastic, majestic tree made the exterior truly evocative. Perfectly positioned, we enjoyed the warm sunset light from the beautifully positioned furnishings. π

10/06/2026: One of the best pizzas I have ever had! I was on a long bike ride, heading back into Bassano del Grappa, and decided to stop in for a meal. I had a chance to meet Guido, the owner. Many of his children and grandchildren work there and they do a wonderful job!
02/06/2026: Beautiful place, the staff is friendly. The pizzas are delicious and look good, but what really disappointed me was that there's no Mexican pizza on the pizza menu, and I recommend adding it to the menu.

21/05/2026: Delicious food, both pasta and chicken. Good portions to fill you up. Friendly service (they also speak German). The ambiance was a bit inconvenient since we were sitting in the alley and many people walked past our table. Better to choose a seat on the terrace!
Otherwise, highly recommended!

09/05/2026: After frequenting this restaurant for many years, the last few visits have unfortunately been a bit disappointing, and I don't think I'll be back.
The last time I ordered a pizza, I asked for the ham to be removed and replaced with cheese. The total cost of the pizza should have remained the same, but instead they decided to charge me for the ham (which wasn't there) and the cheese. Nothing catastrophic, but fundamentally unfair in my humble opinion. The pizza dough was extremely salty, which guaranteed a burning sensation at night.
On a positive note, a recently hired waiter served us impeccably.

28/05/2026: We were looking for a restaurant that served dishes with truffles and came across this one. The waiters were friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. We came because of the good reviews and were disappointed; I really wonder how they came about.
The truffle pizza was very bad and had nothing to do with truffles. The margarita didn't have any fresh truffles but was edible. The pasta with truffle tasted like store-bought pasta. If anyone is looking for these two dishes, I would definitely say "don't go here."
