It's a trattoria that, consequently, focuses on simple cuisine. The start was disappointing, when I was served bread that was decidedly not fresh. The eggplant parmigiana was good, but the apple and eggplant were too thick and didn't blend well with the rest of the food. The fried food, however, was good, not greasy, and well-executed. Finally, I tried a very good crispy millefeuille. So, it was a crescendo.

Our family had dinner here and everyone found something to eat. Everyone was happy with their meal and the staff were extremely friendly. Would definitely go back if we are in the area again.

If you’re not local, you won’t find this place.. it’s very special and fantastic! Great Pizza as well as typical food .. fish, pasta, etc.. soooo good, every time!

27/02/2026: I went on February 25, 2026, with my brother-in-law. Well, what can I say? Everything was well-prepared, the quality and preparation of the food was exceptional. Splendid service. Congratulations to Alla Vecia Scola in Caselle (Isola della Scala, Verona). I will definitely be back. P.S.: The Fiorentina steak tasted like tuna, so tender 👏👏, and the taste was indescribable!

Trattoria al Combattente

18/04/2026: We were passing through and found the restaurant on Google Maps. We ordered two appetizers, Combattente and Garda meatballs. Two first courses, tagliolini with tench and bigoli with sardines. A demi-Lugana and a coffee. The price was more than fair for the quality and quantity of the food. Highly recommended.
16/04/2026: When you talk about excellence, there's not much more to say. Very beautiful place, magnificent food. Very friendly staff. If you're on Lake Garda? Eat here!
