10/06/2026: We were here during the week, so it wasn't overly crowded. We were greeted very warmly by the waiters, who explained the menu and the off-menu dishes to us. We chose a mixed antipasto to share, a sirloin marinated in chimichurri (we were told the chef is of South American origins) and Umbrichelli all'Amatriciana. Let's start with the appetizer: I enjoyed the pappa al pomodoro with anchovies, the other anchovies alone, and the bruschetta. The cheeses were also good, but as for the cured meats, they were meager. Let's be clear, they weren't awful, but they weren't anything special or up to par with the local tradition. The Umbrichelli were good, too, neither praise nor infamy, but a generous portion. I was a bit disappointed by the sirloin; you couldn't taste the marinade at all; it practically seemed sliced ​​and cooked as is. It was a good meat, but since I couldn't taste the marinade, I can't say it lived up to the expectations given the presentation. Desserts: coffee panna cotta and pistachio cheesecake. The former was absolutely amazing, the cheesecake was delicious. Overall, a good experience, but nothing too bad. I was expecting something more, though. Maybe it was just a bad night, I'll try again.

10/06/2026: A very nice restaurant, found after looking at reviews of other restaurants in the area. Nice atmosphere, friendly service. The mixed antipasto was good; they also brought us a small sample of the meat timbale, which was very welcome. I wasn't particularly impressed with the cured meats. Otherwise, the food was good and reasonably priced. The coffee panna cotta was delicious.

07/01/2026: The space is spacious and clean. Despite the fire, there's absolutely no smell, which isn't a given. The service is exceptionally polite and fast. The meat is excellent. The platters are delicious. We were able to enjoy lunch with my furry friends, and we weren't the only ones. Despite this, I repeat, everything is very clean. Thank you.

04/01/2026: We had dinner at this lovely restaurant and had a great time. The pizzas were good and the meat was excellent. The staff was friendly, and despite the restaurant being busy, they were attentive and helpful. I recommend it to everyone!!

01/07/2026: Beautiful experience!!! 😍 we had two pizzas, which even if they weren't wood-fired, were really good (gorgonzola and pear pizza was special and tasty! 😋). Peach dessert with ice cream, fabulous!!! 🫶🏻 The owner and all the staff were really kind and knowledgeable!! It was a beautiful and super romantic experience!!! 🥰 👏🏻 really well done!!!

16/06/2026: We had 2 meals from and at Charlie Ristorante. 1 - a takeaway pizza that was wonderful and delicious 2 - a sit down meal in the ristorante that was simply spectacular. We’ve been travelling through Italy for nearly a month and this place is one of the best places we’ve dined at. We highly recommended eating here.

05/05/2026: Yesterday we had the pleasure of lunch at Ristorante Montenero, a true gem in the Amelia countryside, which this year celebrates an extraordinary milestone: 100 years in business, since 1926. A family-run trattoria that has successfully reinvented itself in its hospitality without ever betraying its soul: that of authentic Umbrian tradition. Dishes that tell a story of authentic flavors and passion, such as the hearty and authentic handmade fettuccine with ragù, game, pan-fried chicken, stewed mutton, and coratella (a kind of lamb cutlet). All prepared with local produce and the highest-quality ingredients. But beyond the cuisine, what truly strikes you is the atmosphere: a warm, family-friendly environment where you immediately feel at home. One of those rare places that still retains the profound sense of time-honored hospitality. My sincere congratulations to the entire staff for preserving and passing on such an important tradition. 10/07/2026: The atmosphere is charming and tidy, enhanced by the large fireplace in the main room where the expert Julio cooks the meats. The service is excellent: we were welcomed immediately and seated, always prompt and attentive (the only small flaw: a few more smiles wouldn't hurt!). Let's move on to the food: we started with an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses for two, which, unfortunately, didn't wow me; they were good, but they didn't strike me as artisanal. The real highlight, and the main reason we came, however, was the meat! We ordered a T-bone (Florentine steak) for two, weighing about a kilo: perfectly cooked rare, perfectly red in the center, incredibly tender and juicy on the palate. Truly excellent! We were pleasantly surprised. Congratulations!

13/07/2026: I've been coming to the Vecchio Granaio for as long as I can remember. It's a cuisine that, along with home cooking, raised me. Here I learned to appreciate polenta, when it once was a delicious and rustic appetizer; I drank my first glass of whiskey shared with my grandfather; I bought countless polenta balls from the vending machines, always after the inevitable dessert; between a fettuccine and a plate of fries, I ran along the avenue, hopping like a cricket in the small ditch at the side of the road, which to my eyes seemed like a bottomless pit. I watched the place change and evolve, starting from family tradition to become something different, more elaborate, more "composed," but always with great attention to raw materials, pairings, and flavors. I realized something had changed during a wedding anniversary. Since I don't eat meat, which the evening's menu didn't take much into account, the kitchen was kind enough to quickly prepare me a small Margherita pizza, which still haunts me because of its deliciousness (probably the best I've ever eaten, but don't tell Grandma). Today, the restaurant has adapted to the times, with digital menus and reservations via the website (although you can still opt for more traditional methods), while the place is teeming with intrepid young people who juggle tables that aren't always easy to manage, with the typical friendliness of those who want to do things right because they care. These are changes that will never convince everyone, but it's those choices that make the difference between an ordinary restaurant and one you can't wait to return to. Once again.

24/10/2025: It's the fourth time I've been there and as far as quality and service are concerned, there's nothing to complain about, just that (at least for my pockets) I can't afford it... spending €103.00 for 4 pizzas, 2 beers, 2 desserts and 1 coffee makes me think that it has become a place suitable for people with higher incomes than mine💁‍♂️

15/06/2026: Hoping it was simply a bad day, unfortunately our experience wasn't the best. The restaurant is objectively very beautiful, especially the outdoor area, which we particularly appreciated. The service, in our opinion, could also have been more attentive: a small tip is to write down customers' requests or questions, as it can help avoid forgetfulness and ensure a better experience. Regarding the food, the first courses seemed rather bland and flavorless, especially the truffle one, from which we expected something more, especially considering the price. The second courses were good and well-executed, but they didn't leave a lasting impression. Having only drank water and Coke, we would have expected a lower price. That said, the restaurant was full and many customers seemed satisfied, so our experience was probably not representative of the norm. However, based on what we experienced, we wouldn't recommend it with the same enthusiasm as ours.
