06/04/2026: The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Carlo takes you inside and explains everything about every product he serves (all of his own production). A family-run business that makes you feel at home. We were offered a homemade amaro (also homemade) and a complimentary bottle of water. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to eat well and feel at home.

06/04/2026: Last night, returning from two days in Umbria over the Easter weekend, the four of us found ourselves enjoying one of those experiences that came about completely by chance... but are hard to forget. After a beautiful bike ride along the Spoleto-Norcia stretch, during our sandwich stop, we realized something rather obvious: finding a restaurant open for Easter dinner without a reservation would be a feat. In fact, after calling at least 15 restaurants—all open only for lunch—we had one last option: La Primula. We didn't look at reviews, we had no expectations. I called. On the other end, a shrill voice said, "Sure, I have room for four, I'll see you this evening!" And so, almost on a bet, we decided to go. We arrived in front of the restaurant and, I have to be honest, our impressions were mixed: from the outside, it didn't even look like a restaurant. But as soon as we stepped inside, we found ourselves in a timeless, authentic, almost suspended environment. Carlo welcomed us. He leads us to the table, and we look around: few people, a quiet atmosphere. Then the menu arrives, written in pen on a sheet of straw paper... and then something changes. Because then Carlo arrives, and magic happens. An incredible character, one of those who seem to have stepped out of a novel. One of those you have to choose to believe in to be transported by his stories: the life of a shepherd, the life in the inns, experiences, stories, pieces of life that intertwine with what arrives on the plate. And in the dishes, there's all this. Behind the stove is his partner, a woman you wouldn't expect at first glance, but who actually has expert hands, like those of true old-fashioned cooking. A mastery reminiscent of that of grandmothers, made of confident gestures, experience, and a love for what she prepares. Authentic cuisine, without frills, direct. Portions like you don't see anymore. Real flavors, which Carlo describes with such passion that they become even more delicious. A place frozen in a different time, far from the frenzy of everyday life. We'll definitely be back. Because more than a dinner, it was an experience. And because a little bit of Carlo... stays with you.

10/04/2026: First time at this restaurant, but I give top marks for everything! From the location... to the 90-km produce, carefully prepared and typical Umbrian dishes, to the excellent service and kindness of the staff. If I were the owner... I'd add €10 for a table with a panoramic view! 🫣 Overall, superlative rating!

07/01/2026: The space is spacious and clean. Despite the fire, there's absolutely no smell, which isn't a given. The service is exceptionally polite and fast. The meat is excellent. The platters are delicious. We were able to enjoy lunch with my furry friends, and we weren't the only ones. Despite this, I repeat, everything is very clean. Thank you.

18/01/2026: Very nice trattoria, located along the road. Good food and excellent prices. Reservations are recommended as it gets very busy. Generous portions, friendly waiters, and a warm atmosphere (in winter) are always welcome! We'll be back!

07/04/2026: Easter Monday at 9:00 PM. I entered the pizzeria asking for a table for four (a family) and I hadn't booked! 10 minutes and we were seated with the place full! Silvia served us a pizza that had a superior flavor, authentic, "Neapolitan" style. The staff and pizza exceeded all expectations. Compliments to all the staff and the pizza chef! BRAVIZZI!!!

The meat is excellent, and the wine selection is outstanding, all at very fair prices. Mirco, the owner, is the perfect “oste” and also a professional sommelier. He always recommends new labels and takes wine lovers like us on amazing tasting journeys. Definitely one of our all time favorite restaurants! 🫶🏼

29/03/2026: The food was absolutely delicious. It was probably the best food I have had in months and I try a lot of different foods. The service was absolutely fantastic the waiters gave us water immediately and bread immediately, and they brought us our food within minutes. And finally the atmosphere. I can’t even describe how amazing it was, it was so delicious and scrumptious. I highly recommend coming here if you are in the area.

05/01/2026: We originally came to Charlie’s looking for pizza but accidentally arrived too early to get pizza. Regardless it was amazing, the vegetable soup was perfect for a cold day. My sister who has celiac, often making it difficult to find an enjoyable dining experience, was met with many options on the menu. She was even given gluten free crackers as an alternative for the bread the rest of us were given. We had many restrictions in our party aside from the celiac, including nut allergies and a vegetarian diet, all of which were accommodated to. The wine and espresso were both amazing and had great flavor. The service was excellent and our server was patient with us, providing us insight on the menu in English. This is most definitely somewhere I would recommend.

07/03/2026: At the S. Bartolomeo pizzeria restaurant, you can enjoy everything from pizza to local cuisine, and you'll be more than satisfied. Excellent value. Outdoor seating in the summer. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

29/03/2026: The place doesn't look very inviting from the outside, but if you stop in you will be pleasantly disappointed. An exceptionally varied menu with surprisingly good dishes! We were met with first-class service and delicious food!

18/03/2026: Found out of necessity, we were greeted by the owner with great kindness, and Mrs. Benedetta in the dining room assisted us with extreme professionalism and helpfulness, both in choosing dishes and offering advice for our next stay. The food was truly delicious: the tagliatelle were flawless, the Marchigiana tartare was flavorful and very balanced, and the tiramisu was exquisite. We can't wait to return to try the other numerous dishes on the menu and the wines. See you soon 🌈😊

06/01/2026: We had lunch at Locanda Baldelli, a place with a unique atmosphere that you can't fully understand unless you experience it. The food was excellent, from appetizer to dessert, as was the wine, which the waiter recommended with great professionalism and courtesy. I highly recommend this experience.

08/03/2026: Yesterday, March 7, 2026, we arrived in Castiglione del Lago. We weren't sure where to eat, and by chance we found this restaurant. We called and booked a table for two. When we arrived, we were greeted by a waitress named Ludovica. She was extremely polite, kind, and above all, very professional, and knew exactly what to recommend. We ordered a house appetizer, a first course: Pici al ragù (a type of pasta) and Pici al cacio e pepe (a type of pasta typical of Rome). This was a very strange choice, considering it's a Roman type of pasta. She also recommended a local sparkling wine (excellent) and a bottle of water. 1 coffee for the modest sum of €47.00. I have to be honest: we ate divinely, everything was delicious, in fact, we promised ourselves we'd absolutely return as soon as we're in the area. A heartfelt compliment goes to Ludovica, the waitress who served us. Everyone is very kind. I highly recommend it. Daniele
