15/08/2024: Let's ignore the dough which can be subjective, but the mozzarella must be fresh, given that it is the first time in my life that I haven't finished a pizza, I couldn't understand what type of cheese or mozzarella they used, it had a smell and a completely different flavor from mozzarella, I'm sorry but pizza is something else.

10/08/2024: The waiter who showed us the place was very friendly but from then on things went downhill. The waitress who served us was very unfriendly to us and didn't adapt to us and didn't even try to speak English to us (she was obviously friendlier to the locals). The food took a long time - was relatively good. The fairy lights get a plus point but the toilet there was anything but clean. So if that's not all that important, it's actually a good restaurant with medium-good food, but we didn't like the service.

24/08/2024: Good quality and variety of choice for pizza on site. Prices are normal tending towards cheap. Convenient and accessible being in the center of the town. The cecina, however, was a little too oily while the stuffed cecina confused the flavors inside too much to have an appreciable identity of its own.

30/05/2024: I have a scone made and they bring it home. I pay 3 euros, right, but put in what I ask for. Sausage and stracchino practically non-existent. I feel cheated. Never again.

25/05/2024: Fast and super tasty! And that despite the snack character. Needed something to satisfy hunger for us and the children on vacation! Great value for money! Gladly again!!! 😃

23/03/2024: We have been customers of this pizzeria for more than 3 years, since we live about 100 meters from it. Every Saturday night and when friends or family come to our house, we always order pizzas from here. They are unbeatable!! We have tried pizzas in other pizzerias in Lucca, but none beats the taste of the pizzas at Vecchia Rotonda. Why I choose this pizzeria: 1) To start, the pizzas are made in a wood-fired oven, which gives the pizza an incredible flavor. 2) the flavor of the pizza dough is unique, there is no other one as delicious as this one. I think it must have a secret ingredient that gives it that delicious and particular touch, which makes you not leave a single crumb on the plate. The "height" of the pizza is just right, it is not thin like a shell, nor high like the Neapolitan. The dough has the ideal height. 3) It has a huge variety of flavors, also calzone and others. 4) If you reserve it for takeout, they answer the phone right away to take the order, and they are punctual, as is the table service if you eat there. If you order them to go, they use a box that keeps them warm until you get home. 5) It is super well located, just 400 meters from the Wall of Lucca, so after eating a pizza, you have the option of taking a walk around the city. 6) It has ample parking just 20 meters away. 100% recommended. Our favorite in Lucca.

29/07/2024: Unfortunately it is no longer what it used to be: the extremely negative rating is influenced by the service (1 hour and 45 minutes of waiting for five pizzas) and the arrogant rudeness of the two young waiters who exude starvation and zero desire to work. It's really sorry, because it was one of my favorite stops on the way back from the sea…
