03/05/2026: €74 for 4 pieces of focaccia and two slices of pizza, waited an hour and a half, is objectively too much.

18/04/2026: The focaccia is good, but the salad isn't. Low quality and lack of attention to detail. The tart is not bad.

04/06/2026: The manual for how NOT to serve a table - ignoring customers, forgetting there are two children, serving other tables who arrived later, not realizing he hadn't brought our pizzas, losing the order, blaming the pizza chef for the delay, not only not apologizing for the 60-minute wait, but actually even replying to me. Cecio, the pizza is really good, but the service isn't even close to the level of the pizza you make. It's a real shame. You've lost customers.

14/05/2026: We went to this pizzeria for the first time with six friends. The atmosphere was incredibly noisy. That said, the pizza was average, but the prices were very high, ranging from €13 to €16 per pizza. In our opinion, there was no logical reason for such high prices; we didn't eat anything particularly rare or expensive, just ordinary pizzas. When we got the bill, we were told that paying in cash would be better, and they would take 0.65 cents off each person. I'll leave that up to you to imagine... Overall, a definitely negative experience. I can imagine the owners' response, but it doesn't change anything we've written.

09/06/2026: Good food, but the service was too long... even with a reservation, the hour and a half wait in the heat was hard to bear (if they had told us when we booked that was the only available seat, we wouldn't have come). The food was good, but the servings were meager for the price. Service was 50/50: one waitress was kind and smiling and occasionally spoke to you, while the other was the complete opposite, not responding to "thank you" messages or even looking you in the eye. I had a seafood pasta dish and couldn't ask for a dish for the shells or a hand towel because the waitress had already left. I wanted to order dessert, but I gave up because once our courses were finished, they continued to ignore us and no one asked if we wanted it. The price for an appetizer, first course, second course, water (from 70!!!!!!) and two glasses of red wine was 75 euros. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

15/01/2026: Thin, crispy, and easily digestible pizza, just like it was here in Tuscany until a few years ago. Very good, for those who appreciate this type of pizza. Excellent ingredients (fresh porcini mushrooms, for example) and fair prices.

02/05/2026: I ordered a takeaway margherita pizza for €5.50 and a piece of amaretto tart (excellent). They kindly offered me a vegetable tart (excellent), and the pizza was also excellent, thin-crust, crispy yet flaky. Congratulations, I'll return another time, in less of a hurry.

01/11/2025: I arrived at this restaurant with my small, well-behaved dog, properly leashed. We were informed that dogs were not accepted and asked to leave. The main problem wasn't the rules themselves, which may be legitimate, but rather the extremely hasty and impolite manner in which we were treated. Furthermore, we weren't even given the option of sitting at the outside tables, a solution that many other restaurants in the area readily offer. I believe that, even while respecting their own policies, a restaurant should maintain good manners, courtesy, and a welcoming attitude toward those who enter. A disappointing experience. We won't be returning. (Not accepting dogs in 2025 is excessive, but everyone has their own policies, and I respect them.)

27/09/2025: Rural trattoria, quality food. Ample private parking, pleasant outdoor setting. The daily menu is always excellent, featuring traditional dishes, and reasonable prices. Please note: this is a trattoria for easygoing diners who appreciate tradition without too many frills. Please note: dogs are not tolerated.

08/02/2026: Traditional pizzeria, where pizza is a cult. Original flavors that endure over time. For me, it's like being a kid again! A pizza that's instantly digestible. The quality of the ingredients makes all the difference. What can I say about the Cecina? Fantastic! I recommend stopping by and trying a slice to take away!

12/01/2026: A quaint, family-friendly place right in the heart of Lucca. The staff is attentive, polite, and above all friendly and kind. The owner is a delightful and very pleasant person. We came in with a stroller and they gave us a little room all to ourselves. We ordered a Capricciosa for two (we were initially hesitant whether it would be enough for two, especially since I eat a lot). It was a feast of visuals and authenticity. In short, if you want to feel at home, eat well, and spend little, go to this pizzeria.

01/05/2026: The best restaurant to never go to again. The pizzas we had were really not good. The first pizza we had was somewhat okay, but it was very hard and dry and didn't have much flavor. The knife could barely cut through it. The second pizza was a kind of grilled cheese sandwich that was also very dry. With the third pizza, the ingredients were not distributed, there were pieces of luncheon meat on it, large chunks of onion, and the taste wasn't good either. We also had a calzone where 5 cm of the edge had nothing on it, just dry dough, and the rest was crammed into 10 cm in the middle. With this, I ate 80% ham and the rest a bit of dough and cheese, but that was it. The pizzas were also burnt around the edges. At the end, extra money was charged for something we don't even know what it was. A plus point is that the person who served us was nice and polite. I have never looked forward so much to the moment the food was finished and we could leave.

28/03/2026: I'm still at the table. Unfortunately, people these days take everything for granted. I ate with a colleague; we're coach drivers. The spaghetti or garlic and oil was good, the Milanese and fries were classic, but what really took me back was the lemon veal cutlet. Simply perfect, just like my grandmother and mother used to make. With a side of a masterpiece of mixed salad, a carefully balanced mix of vegetables, peppers, celery, and fennel... In short, everything was perfect. And then there was him. Odilio. Simple and friendly, just like a host should be. If you're in the area, come visit him. Thanks. Marco

09/05/2026: Very casual, pub-style place. The service is very efficient and friendly. Excellent, truly tasty food. Top-notch coffee, best enjoyed without sugar. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

25/03/2026: Recently renovated, at Nessi Pub you can enjoy an evening drinking a beer with friends and watching a hockey or basketball fan...it feels just like an American pub!!! The pizza and burgers 🍔 are very good. It's one of the few places where you can eat until late. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

15/03/2026: I've been to this place several times with friends and we've always had a great time. Unfortunately, this evening, everything went wrong, from start to finish. The thing that disappointed me most, after the various service oversights, was hearing: "€33.07 per person if you pay by card." No one expects discounts, and we all know life is expensive for everyone, but when there are obvious errors in the service, it would be appreciated to at least notice them and try to fix them, perhaps rounding up the bill (even if it's just by taking off those 7 cents).

04/03/2026: A pleasant surprise! I found excellent Neapolitan pizza. There are several different rooms, including a beautiful garden where you can enjoy an excellent pizza outside. The owners, as is typical for Neapolitan cuisine, are very kind and welcoming. Highly recommended!

23/11/2025: During the Lucca Comics season, changes are certainly made based on demand, but the quality of the pizza and service is decidedly poor. They don't reflect the excellent presentation of the place, which is instead treated in detail and it shows!
