L'Asino Vola In Scansano

Excellent cuisine, right portions, impeccable service

Excellent pizzas, friendliness and kindness.

We arrived cold from a winter bike tour of the Maremma (very wintery). Linda welcomed us with human and thermal warmth (beautiful wood stove). Then the pizza, exceptionally good, much above the standard of the Maremma. A chat about the world with various people from different parts and experiences. Excellent breakfast and warm and welcoming rooms, very much like an ancient inn. Murci, a very small hamlet in an almost deserted Maremma, seems to us to have organized a small varied and alternative community. Perfect stopping place, interesting environment, all the comforts and an excellent pizza and some starters. A great surprise, it seemed like we had taken a time leap into an ancient travellers' inn.

I was with friends unfortunately only one night, we were on our bikes and cold, LINDA and her staff were truly exquisite and attentive, both at dinner and for breakfast. All the staff and Linda first of all are "special" people who are worth getting to know, a truly special environment and atmosphere. An old-fashioned inn like few others but with exquisite cuisine and truly welcoming service. Anyone in the area should stop here, it's worth it and if booking tells you there are no rooms available, call Linda in person. I hope to return really soon! 🥰

There were six of us in the pizzeria. Great service, wonderful service, very nice guests. A good wine and a 1A pizza at absolutely reasonable prices! Thanks!

The "L'Asino Vola" is definitely worth a visit. I would have to think for a long time about where and when I have ever eaten such a delicious pizza. Someone here understands the pizza craft :) In addition to the fresh and delicious ingredients, the pizza crust was also very good. The edge of many pizzas crumbles when you cut into it with a knife. But not at L'Asino Vola. The edge here is also nice and doughy and rounds off the great, filling pizza. Of course there were also several Dolce variants as dessert, which I can also highly recommend. The atmosphere was very appealing. I'll be happy to come back when I'm traveling in Tuscany :)
