15/04/2025: I recently had lunch in this tavern in the heart of Figline Valdarno. The restaurant is located practically in the centre, inside a historic building, which gives a certain charm to the environment but also entails some limitations, such as a very small bathroom and not suitable for people with disabilities. The internal space is limited, with few tables available, so I strongly recommend making a reservation if you want to have lunch comfortably seated. The menu is surprisingly broad, with a good choice of first courses, second courses and side dishes. The raw materials seemed to be of high quality, and the table service was quite fast, which makes it the ideal place for a quick but satisfying lunch. The only downside: the prices of some dishes, a little above average. For example, a plate of pasta with pesto for €10 is certainly abundant, but it is still expensive due to the simplicity of the dish. Overall, I recommend it for those looking for a tasty and quick meal in the centre, but taking into account the parking difficulties and limited spaces.

10/07/2025: The food was very good. The burger was excellent, and the pistachio tortellini was exquisite. The salad and tongs were good. We ate outside and were bitten by mosquitoes. The service was fair and geared toward tourists, and they charged us €3 per cover.

08/06/2025: Nonostante abiti abbastanza vicino a questo ristorante ieri sera con la mia famiglia ci siamo recati Ai Fagiolari. Scelta azzeccata in piena. Ambiente curato ed elegante, cibo eccellente e materie prime scelte con cura. Da provare i tagliolini alla Gricia mantecati nella forma del pecorino, ottimi i fritti. Carta dei vini eccellente. Personale raro da trovare, Jacopo che si è occupato del servizio un ottimo uomo di sala.

11/06/2025: We ate at this restaurant on our Italy tour and were very impressed. You just can't be too tied down to the opening hours, because the restaurant opens whenever it suits you ☺️ Perhaps that's because the restaurant, or at least that's how it seemed to us, was run solely by a truly magical "nonna." We were the only guests in the restaurant at first and received a very warm welcome. Although we don't speak Italian and dear Anna doesn't speak English, communication worked out well. The menu wasn't extensive, but for us, it included exactly what we would want to eat in Italy: pizza and pasta. We opted for spaghetti carbonara and gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce, accompanied by mineral water and a carafe of house wine. The wine was delicious, and oh my goodness, we ate the best spaghetti carbonara and gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce we've ever had. We found this restaurant on Google Maps and went there because the reviews for the food were very good. I can say that our expectations were very high, and yet they were exceeded. Not only because of the food and wine, but also because of Anna's absolutely charming personality. Furthermore, the food here is not only very good, but also extremely affordable, which is quite rare in Italy. The restaurant may not be the most stylish or chic, but the food is definitely worth a visit, and we can only recommend it to anyone visiting Florence to eat here if you enjoy real, authentic Italian cuisine.

22/06/2025: We ordered 7 take-out pizzas. Our request was met with some confusion and perplexity: “If you want, we’ll make them for you right away.” Despite this, we trusted the service with high expectations. Unfortunately, once we got home, our expectations were disappointed. Out of 7 pizzas, 3 were completely wrong, with more crust than toppings and a rubbery dough. We immediately called to report the mix-up, if only to inform the owners. The response was rather detached, with an almost arrogant tone. We were told: “Well, the ingredients weren’t the same because we didn’t have them.” But the real question is: if ingredients are missing, wouldn’t it be correct to inform the customer when they order? The conversation was confusing, as if we were trying to take advantage of the situation, when in reality we just wanted a constructive discussion. To their credit, they offered to remake the 3 wrong pizzas, but given the distance, it wasn’t a viable solution. We ask ourselves: is it normal that out of 7 pizzas, 3 are completely different from what was ordered? And that there was no minimal attempt by the staff to manage the situation with empathy? The environment is welcoming, nothing to say about this, but it is clear that there are several aspects to work on to improve the service and communication with the customer.

28/04/2025: Mi dispiace molto fare una recensione negativa, ma purtroppo la mia esperienza non ha niente di positivo. Impasto della pizza cingommoso di scarsissima qualità per non parlare dei dolci disgustosi, non abbiamo detto niente, ma uno aveva un aspetto e odore brutto sembrava avariato! Lo abbiamo lasciato lì! L'unica cosa positiva è l'ambiente carino, è un vero peccato!
