05/10/2025: Ok you walk past thirty or forty pizza restaurants on the main streets; they are busy, you think “oh they must be good” WRONG. Make the effort to find the best pizza on the island. Pizzeria Anime E Core is worth its reputation. Easy WiFi to then scan menus . In EVERY language I can think of. The guys are happy to explain the differences between an oven fried and calzone pizza . And yes they can do gluten free , low carb , Neapolitan or the PROPER Sicilian pizza base. The fresh tomato topping and generous quality ingredients will blow you away compared to your other experiences at home or in holiday destinations.

05/10/2025: Wow, what can I say? Everything was delicious, from the pizza to the deconstructed limoncello cannoli. We had a gluten-free pizza that was truly delicious, especially the excellent dough. A gluten-free pizza like this is hard to find. Kudos also to all the super-kind and customer-focused staff. Highly recommended!

18/06/2025: Everything was excellent as far as food and wines go but the air was extremely hot and the lack of air conditioning made the experience more difficult.

29/09/2025: A very popular pizzeria in a side street, but well-frequented by locals and tourists of various nationalities. The food is enormous, and the pizza box for leftovers to go seems obligatory. I actually ordered a small portion of calamari fritti and was very surprised by the portion size. The salad was accompanied by a pizza bread made from a whole pizza. Value for money is definitely not an issue here.

25/09/2025: We visited this pizzeria today, encouraged by the many positive reviews. We ordered a traditional Margherita pizza and a calzone. Unfortunately, both dishes fell short of our expectations. On the positive side, they were properly baked and the dough itself was acceptable, though nothing special. However, the toppings were overly salty, which made the flavors unbalanced. What disappointed us the most was the service. The staff were unfriendly, and we felt very uncomfortable throughout our visit. It wasn’t just one person, but several members of the staff who behaved this way. This is the first time we have experienced such treatment as guests in Italy. Overall, it was a huge disappointment.

20/09/2025: I only gave one star because otherwise I wouldn't have been allowed to write a review. DON'T GO! THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT COOKING MEANS. OVERCOOKED SEAFOOD APPETIZERS, A MIX OF BAD, INDICENT FLAVORS. Tiny mussel soup with tomato puree straight from the bottle to the plate without even a grain of salt. You can't fool customers by stealing their money.

16/09/2025: Dinner at this restaurant right in the city center. We had a chef's appetizer with six small dishes, and two main courses, including a mixed fried fish and tuna alla matalotta. The appetizers featured lots of onion and not much fish; the fried food was good, but objectively limited, and the tuna was good and plentiful. Overall, for the price and the food, I wouldn't recommend this place!
