08/09/2024: Very good tender meat, quiet environment but sky-high prices 85 euros for a bit of meat and a mixed fry there are much more suitable places to go for dinner. You can't set prices at random but for what you sell.

30/08/2024: I give one star for the location, but everything else is disappointing. Ordered pizza, but served on a combustible paper plate so as a result you eat a pizza that can't stand up even with a simple fork. I wonder why, given that we customers pay the cover charge? I'm sure that even the cats that wander around the tables, meowing to get something, are charged for the service. 😅 Not to mention the waiters who fail to provide you with information regarding the origin of their foreign craft beers. Hmm?!

05/01/2025: Pranzo di natale dell ultimo momento..nn avendo potuto informarmi sul locale non ho potuto prevenire la fregatura. Menu fisso di pesce con prodotti di bassa qualità..portate mai arrivati e personale sgarbato. Da evitare...

28/12/2024: Siamo arrivati alle 13:20 ed erano già pronti per servire. Fino a qui nulla da dire. Hanno servito l'antipasto alle 13:40 circa. Tutti gli antipasti erano serviti con una frittatella di pesce che era carbonizzata, chiediamo subito di sostituirle .....ci rispondono di averle finite 😳. Ancora le stavano servendo. Tra l'antipasto e il primo trascorrono più di 50 minuti, mangiamo tutti i grissini in quanto il pane servito all'interno era poco cotto. L'altro primo di pesce arriva dopo mezz'ora circa, ossia verso le 15:00. Notiamo che qualcuno si alza e va via senza continuare. A chi ha prenotato a base di carne è andata anche peggio perché hanno dovuto mangiare da soli dato che le portate non arrivavano in contemporanea, con porzioni mini e senza poter chiedere il bis. Alle 15:40 arriva il secondo. Un gambero e una seppia ripiena con poca insalata scondita. Quelli con menù a base di carne hanno atteso altri 20 minuti mentre gli altri commensali mangiavano il dolce (piccola cassatella di ricotta e pistacchio). L'attesa fra una portata e l'altra è stata interminabile. Non c'era nessuna atmosfera natalizia, nessuna decorazione o qualcosa che ci potesse somigliare, non è stato servito né il panettone né lo spumante. Forse avranno dimenticato che si trattava del pranzo di Natale. A voi le conclusioni, lo sconsiglio.

16/02/2025: Sunday for lunch, after spending the morning on the snow of Etna. Even though the place was full, we were seated immediately (1.30 pm). They took our order at 2.33pm! Having understood the slowness, thinking causes little staff. But seeing other reviews apparently it's always like this so we ordered a plate of french fries to while away the wait and only first courses. Chips arrived in 5 minutes and the first courses after 25. Tortellini with black pork sauce without any identity, Agnolotti with pistachio (cream, ham with chopped pistachios) stuck together and drained a minute ahead of time and tasty strozzapreti (a good dish). Not advisable for those arriving hungry but still friendly staff and well-kept place with two beautiful fireplaces.

16/04/2025: *Total disappointment: the Pizzoleria in Piazza Mazzini in Catania* I was a loyal customer of this place, which once offered generous portions at fair prices. However, over time, I noticed a steady decline in the quality and quantity of food. The portions have become smaller and smaller, and the prices have remained unchanged. But what happened on my last visit was the height of disappointment. I invited a friend to lunch and spoke well to him about this place, recommending the waiter to bring two nice portions of generous spaghetti pasta with Nebrodi black pork ragout. But when the food arrived, I was shocked: only one forkful per plate! Not only was it a ridiculous portion, but we also had to pay for two entire portions. It was a real deception. My experience with the Pizzoleria in Piazza Mazzini began as a beautiful adventure, but ended with infinite disappointment. I can no longer recommend this place to anyone.

19/12/2024: We paid for two trays of pizza on site and then agreed to the takeaway service at 9pm. At 11pm the pizzas had still not arrived despite the fact that they continued to tell us that they were coming, making fun of us. After 2 hours the pizzas arrived obviously cold and despite everything they didn't even apologize. Even though I have been a customer for 10 years I will never go again. The quality of the pizzas is also low.

13/02/2025: The other day I ordered two pizzas and a sandwich for delivery. They were supposed to arrive at 9.45pm but arrived at 11pm. The pizzas were frozen and they even got the order wrong. I won't take anything here again

22/12/2024: We ordered 3 pizzas and 5 sandwiches for home delivery. From 9.30pm they arrived at 11pm, after several calls and being fooled. Not only the absurd delay but everything was frozen, inedible, of poor quality... never again!!!

10/03/2025: Non prendevo da un po’ la pizza al Vicolo, anni fa andavo spesso con gli amici e sono rimasta un po’ male dall esperienza dell altro giorno. Ho mangiato una pizza non particolarmente buona, enorme (sulla quantità nulla da dire, anzi anche troppo grande), impasto niente di sorprendente, ingredienti non brutti(sarei falsa) ma non di qualità eccelsa.. il prezzo corretto date le dimensioni ed i prezzi in giro.. in sintesi la mia esperienza non è stata negativa, ma tale da farmi dire non tornerò, non nell immediato almeno , non ne vale la pena.. c’è di meglio in giro..

30/08/2024: I was intrigued by the location which was wonderful. Unfortunately I took a grilled swordfish which didn't make any sense, very grilled on one side and seared on the other dry, dry, all with a side of mixed salad. Finally, they are so attentive to their customers that even though we are in Catania and they don't know how to grill a swordfish, having only one table in the room, they made me pay 5 euros for the side dish and 2 forkfuls of salad. I forgot their slogan and life is too good to eat badly. Catering is a serious thing, Bar boys.

07/12/2024: Dopo diversi anni di assenza ho cenato con mia moglie in questa pizzeria . Abbiamo consumato una pizza e un panino. Cosa dire.... Dico che siamo lontani da quella pizza provata in passato. Inoltre per quanto riguarda il panino il giudizio è insoddisfacente. Infatti se tale panino ha un certo costo ti aspetti di mangiare ciò che hai pagato. A onor di cronaca devo far presente che il personale di servizio addetto alla sala e il cassiere sono stati molto cortesi e questo va riconosciuto.

17/11/2024: Ottimo prodotto.....ma il locale avrebbe bisogno di un lifting,ottimo il personale,pizza squisita,impasto Napoletano Eccellente.....non ho visto un buon assortimento di dolci,ma il locale è lavorato e stanco ....avrebbe bisogno di un rinnovo!
