08/01/2026: I've only been there once a few years ago, but since I hadn't left a review at the time, I wanted to do so now. The overall experience was very positive and left me with fond memories. The restaurant is located on the Giovinazzo seafront, with a truly spectacular view of the sea, creating the perfect atmosphere for a sunset dinner or a relaxed lunch. The setting is welcoming, clean, and tidy, and of medium size: spacious enough for small groups or families to dine comfortably without feeling crowded. The staff has always been friendly, kind, and helpful, ready to recommend the daily specials or accommodate guests' requests. Even at the busiest times, their attentiveness and courtesy remain evident, making the experience pleasant. The food is truly excellent: specialties include quality pizza, fresh fish dishes, seafood, and carefully selected appetizers, all prepared with genuine ingredients and beautifully presented. The portions are generous and satisfying, without being heavy, and the flavors are authentic and well-balanced. Prices are average and absolutely reasonable for the quality of the dishes and the waterfront location. Service times are generally reasonable: during my visit, we didn't have a long wait, but it's understandable that waits can be slightly longer at peak times. In summary, Gatto Verde is a place I highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality dinner or lunch in Giovinazzo, with tasty dishes, attentive staff, and a pleasant atmosphere with a splendid sea view. I will definitely return at the first opportunity.

20/12/2025: My family, friends, and I frequent it often, both for lunch (for special occasions) and for evenings... it's a modern, air-conditioned glass-fronted establishment overlooking the sea, with a veranda, a surrounding lawn, and an adjacent white beach in a beautiful blue gulf. It also features two screens for important TV events, plus a nautical-style outdoor space (in summer). I primarily go there for the delicious, highly digestible pizza (Barese style), with a wide selection and made-to-order options; but the dishes offered are also impressive, with a gourmet feel. Prices are reasonable and fair. They also do a lot of takeout, thanks to the natural "lounge" provided by the seafront and cliffs. Friendly, accommodating service. Decades of experience... a historic pizzeria, for a reason!

22/08/2025: A beautiful beach, with large umbrellas and plenty of space between them, a bar, and a large outdoor terrace. In the evening, there's piano music, excellent cocktails, and delicious cuisine.

20/08/2025: We spent just 2 days at this fantastic beach resort equipped with every comfort. First of all, the welcome upon our arrival by the brunette lady whose name I unfortunately don't know. The bar and restaurant with all its kind, professional staff and impeccable service and then the very attention to detail in the environment. We had a great time.

23/10/2025: I had the octopus sandwich. Fantastic. Truly exceptional, simple but very tasty.

13/09/2025: Perfect view. The salad was disappointing. Pizza it's not served for the lunch. The pasta is a bit expensive.

14/09/2025: It's mid-September, but don't stay open if you don't want to. We waited a quarter of an hour and the managers were going back and forth on their phones and closing doors. Then we asked if anyone was coming and they told us they'd close at 7:00 PM. It was 6:00 PM!!🤣

26/08/2025: Today I had to attend a dear friend's party, and I read the owners' response saying that one person in the group did not have a green pass... it's false, the person had taken the swab. And we also know of the various excuses made by the owners to avoid the party by inviting the birthday girl to go to another place and that they would have eaten the fish.

18/01/2026: I returned after many years of negative experiences, but the situation hasn't changed: the pizza is terrible and the staff is incompetent. The most glaring thing is that the pizza chef quit the service and ran away.

This irregularly shaped restaurant overlooks an internal condominium area, creating a private and tranquil atmosphere. The setting is simple, but far from banal. Here, the atmosphere is one of authentic conviviality, characterized by calm and familiarity. The cuisine follows the same philosophy: minimal frills, straightforward and well-executed flavors. The pre-set menus are highly appreciated, with a rich selection of hot and cold appetizers and a choice of pizza, all at affordable prices that make the experience accessible and enjoyable. Ultimately, 44 Gatti Bistrot is a perfect choice for those seeking a carefree evening, characterized by good food and simplicity done well.

10/09/2025: Poor and scant food, very poor and poor appetizer,.....waiting about 2 hours between the transparent appetizer and the first course to taste for about two or three forkfuls, second fried dish very poor and dry. Paid for at least 10 times more for what we ate. A SHAMEFUL TOURIST TRAP.....BE CAREFUL.......when I got home I told my wife to prepare something to eat because I was hungry.

07/09/2025: Bella Napoli Ristorante/Pizzeria is the perfect place to enjoy delicious pizza with a sea view. The atmosphere is relaxing, with a terrace offering spectacular panoramic views. The pizzas are cooked to perfection, with a light dough and fresh, local ingredients. The service is friendly and fast, perfect for a summer evening at sunset. An experience that combines flavor with the beauty of the view.

19/11/2025: I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because I ordered the €12 menu, which includes cured meats, Ciccio, potatoes, a drink, pizza, and dessert or limoncello. I was charged a supplement for the drink, as they told me the lemon beer wasn't included on the menu. My friend, in addition to paying the €12 menu, also received a €6 supplement for the gluten-free pizza base.

25/10/2025: CHANGE JOB First and last time, pizzas burned on the bottom, tasteless, hard, pizza boxes falling apart, and we found the pizzas stuck to the cardboard.

12/10/2025: I'd say it's the best pizza in S. Foca.

29/10/2025: Despite the mixed reviews we had a brilliant experience here - delicious pizza and pasta, friendly service and a gorgeous view of the bay - couldn't ask for more.

27/10/2025: Excellent pizza. We had one Tonno Cipolle and one Capriciosa.

05/02/2026: We stopped for a good pizza, but alas... We were seated in an uncomfortable area because it was cold. Unfortunately, when the pizzas arrived, we were also disappointed by the food, as four out of eight pizzas were burned from the bottom, I believe due to the dirty oven floor. Even though they remade the pizzas, the fact remains that every dish needs to be checked before being served. A terrible experience.

19/01/2026: In order of events. - Table booked at 10 PM, we sat down at 10:45 PM - 10/15 minutes to have the table cleared even though we were seated, waiting for menus, waiting for water, waiting for beer. - We ordered different flavors of fries, even though one arrived hot. From the first to the last, they arrived completely cold. - The pizzas arrived and the magic happened. Besides the size of a wedding ring, mine and those of two of my friends were completely raw. My friends ate it anyway, but I had it remade since it was inedible. The pizza was brought back to me directly by the pizza chef, without realizing that it was even rawer than before 🤣. - An almost biblical mystical experience

28/11/2025: A charming restaurant located near Gallipoli's historic center. Plenty of seating, both on the ground floor and a mezzanine level. The food is generally excellent, including the €25 fixed menu (drinks and cover charge excluded), which includes an appetizer, a first course, and a second course (your choice).

01/01/2026: Terrible service. Delivery time: 9:35 PM. They're marking Just Eat as having delivered the order, when that's not true. I call the restaurant at 9:50 PM, and they tell me the delivery driver had just left, and that they'll mark Just Eat as delivering the order when the delivery driver leaves. At 10:15 PM, nothing has arrived yet. I call the restaurant, and they tell me they made a mistake and that the pizzas are in the oven. Terrible service, and it's a scam to report to Just Eat that the delivery was made when the pizzas haven't even been made by the pizza chef.

08/12/2025: I had lunch with friends on December 7, 2025. We had a wonderful time in a family-friendly atmosphere with friendly and attentive service. The appetizers were excellent, and the first course (mushroom tagliolini for everyone) was delicious. The quality/price ratio was excellent. Highly recommended.

29/10/2025: Small portions, high prices, and overall a very uninspired experience. Paying €6 in Brindisi for a microwaved dessert with ready-made sauce from a tube is incomprehensible. And to top it all off, they said they didn't accept card payments.
