The Ligurian-style octopus appetizer is good, but the tagliatelle mari e monti could be improved, with unpleasant clam shell fragments sticking out of your mouth. Service is prompt, and the complimentary focaccia appetizer is very welcome. One peculiarity of the setting: if you're offered to eat in the garden, don't expect flowerbeds and hedges, but a shared parking lot shaded by a single lime tree.

04/09/2025: On Saturday, August 30th, I ordered three pizzas at La Smorfia. The pizza was good, but it was a shame about the price, a whopping €36. I can understand if the pizzas were made with refined, or even slightly elaborate, ingredients, but they were three basic pizzas (a queen, four cheeses, sausage, and chips). The quality/price ratio was a bit off.

The staff was polite and friendly; the aperitif was plentiful and very tasty at a fair price, and the setting was very well maintained, overlooking Piazza Annunziata in the heart of Venaria Reale's historic center.
