That’s understandable, as Busto Arsizio is a smaller city and likely doesn’t get many international visitors. We refused, ordered an appetizer and three first courses (there were three of us). I asked for the wine list, and the same waiter who tried to sell us the scallops asked me what wine I wanted, white or red. I asked for a sparkling white, and he said, "I have a good Cartizze wine." My fault, I didn't ask the price. We finished the wine, and he offered us another, saying it was the last bottle. We accepted! 40 minutes for 1 appetizer and another 35 minutes for 3 entrees Annoyed by the slowness, we go to the cashier. Surprise at the cashier: €200 for 3 entrees and 2 bottles. We ask to see the receipt, having bought it as a single order without any details, and they tell us that just the 2 bottles are €110!!!!! Why didn't the waiter tell you? We didn't, and we specifically asked for the wine list. We're neither restaurateurs nor insomniacs, so given the exorbitant price of the wine, they should have at least informed us!!! Pizza favolosa, come da titolo : corposa, ben condita, ben cotta e ben digerita. The air conditioning was on full blast (I recommend a sweater even in the summer) and we ordered a first course, a second course and 2 side dishes. Dishes that are neither infamous nor glorious, unfortunately, have expired a lot. My mom ordered "sautéed potatoes" as a side dish, which everyone knows more or less how to make. Here we are bad. Not good. Fried and over-fried in oil that perhaps had been there for days because the taste was unpleasant. We mentioned this to the waitress (a bit stout with glasses) and her response was "you won't like them, ma'am, others like them" stating that the potatoes are prepared this way and the oil was fresh. First of all, a waitress absolutely does not respond to a customer in this rude way, she apologizes and takes the dish away and secondly, this arrogance is causing a place that has been there for years to decline. Obviously they put the potatoes in the bill because if someone wants to be, I don't say classy which is too much, but at least apologize or not charge. I've been going there for 44 years, I'm sorry.
