03/12/2024: AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE FROM ALL POINTS OF VIEW The Le Arcate restaurant was a real surprise! It's true: we arrived on a Monday evening, certainly not the busiest day of the week for a club. And so we had the service and kitchen completely at our disposal... But, beyond the lucky moment for my wife and me, everything we experienced in those hours was truly very beautiful and good. First of all, a courteous, friendly and always very attentive service. The cuisine is excellent, the dishes are simple but all well executed, with great respect for the raw materials and the cooking methods. The tartare with black truffle and the fried artichokes in batter are excellent. The first courses were very good: both my wife and I had ravioli with porcini mushrooms, butter and sage with truffle. For the second course, an excellent steak and sardines for my wife. Excellent desserts: the red fruit caramelized apple with vanilla cream was, according to my wife, the best she had ever eaten! I found the creme brulee with caramel and crunchy really delicious. The prices are excellent and in any case very interesting, for being in the province of Varese. The place is very nice, perhaps slightly outdated but, I must say, I don't mind this type of atmosphere. Among other things, I really appreciated the separate entrance from the room, so that diners are not disturbed by the comings and goings of customers and drafts... The wine list is not very extensive (which I also approve of in a place of this type), but the bottles are chosen with great care. The mark-ups are correct, considering the labels (we bought a Pinot Noir by Elena Walch for 35 euros). In short, an excellent experience, truly unexpected. Thank you with all my heart!

03/12/2024: Il ristorante Le Arcate è stata un’autentica sorpresa! È vero: siamo arrivati di lunedì sera, non certo il giorno più affollato della settimana, per un locale. E quindi abbiamo avuto servizio e cucina completamente a nostra disposizione… Ma, al di là del momento fortunato per me e mia moglie, tutto ciò che abbiamo vissuto in quelle ore è stato davvero molto bello e buono. Innanzi tutto un servizio cortese, cordiale e sempre molto attento. La cucina è ottima, i piatti sono semplici ma tutti ben eseguiti, con grande rispetto per la materia prima e le cotture. Ottima la tartare con tartufo nero e anche la frittura dei carciofi in pastella. Molto puoi i primi: sia io, sia mia moglie abbiamo preso dei ravioli di porcini burro e salvia con tartufo. Per secondo un’eccellente tagliata e delle sarde a beccafico per mia moglie. Dessert eccellenti: la mela caramellata ai frutti rossi con crema alla vaniglia è stata, a detta di mia moglie, la migliore che avesse mai mangiato! Io ho trovato davvero molto golosa la crema catalana con caramello e croccante. iI prezzi sono ottimi e comunque molto interessanti, per essere in provincia di Varese. Il locale è molto grazioso, forse leggermente demodè ma, devo dire, a me non dispiace questo tipo d’atmosfera. Tra l’altro, ho apprezzato moltissimo l’ingresso separato dalla sala, in modo che i commensali non siano disturbati dal viavai dei clienti e dagli spifferi d’aria… La carta dei vini non è vastissima (cosa che tra l’altro approvo, in un locale di questo tipo), ma le bottiglie sono scelte con molta cura. I ricarichi sono corretti, considerate le etichette (noi abbiamo preso un Pinot Nero di Elena Walch a 35 euro). Insomma, un’ottima esperienza, davvero inaspettata. Grazie di cuore!

25/11/2024: Ogni tanto ci torniamo ed è sempre una garanzia ! Il posto molto classico un po’ retro’ anni 80 (ma meglio di quei posti ormai uniformati pseudo alla moda ma freddi che ti dimentichi subito) . Soprattutto il pesce molto buono , fresco cucinato in modo tradizionale senza fronzoli e gustoso. Anche la pizza è buona e il dolce come si deve ! Camerieri gentili e professionali , non dei semplici portapiatti! Grazie come sempre

14/12/2024: The pizza by the slice is spectacular, my favorite is the bufalina with basil or the cacio e pepe! Also worth trying are the focaccias, they are really delicious! The round pizza is also good but in my opinion the sliced ​​one is better. I have been going to this pizzeria for more than 25 years and the quality is always top. The staff is always very kind! I recommend, if you want pizza by the slice, to go early because there are fewer people and there is more choice so you don't have to wait too long.

27/11/2024: Polite, friendly, welcoming staff. Clean place, with the possibility of stopping for a bite to eat. Excellent pizza, crunchy base, soft inside, quality ingredients! (They also feel about the price!). When we brought home the pizza in a pan, in the cardboard, unfortunately it became "soft", but we probably waited a little too long before eating it. Put back in the oven it regains its fragrance! Definitely recommended!

03/11/2024: This pizzeria was an incredible discovery. The environment of the restaurant is simple and welcoming, with an atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at ease. The real strong point is certainly the wood-fired oven: the scent that is released is unmistakable, recalling the tradition of true Neapolitan pizza. The pizza was perfectly cooked, fragrant and incredibly light, with a perfectly crunchy base. The ingredients used for the filling were of the highest quality, with an authentic and rich flavour, capable of enhancing every bite. An experience that made the evening truly special. We can't wait to go back!

01/01/2025: Pretty good pizza, but unfortunately it's hardly or not possible to take food with you easily if you can't get a seat. Hectic operations with such staff, easy mass processing. You have to be able to afford to send paying customers away... There are also other pizzerias in town that are very good, friendly and uncomplicated.

16/12/2024: Last Sunday family lunch. There are those who have chosen pizza and those who cook it. My pizza was delicious, thin, fragrant, very light and very digestible. The salted meat is also excellent. Fast, helpful and friendly service. Definitely recommended for those who love thin, crunchy pizza and a huge choice. We'll get back to each other.

Speed ​​of service in particular of the "girl with glasses" who is really 'quick' - as my mother would say -. Even before eating I discovered that they are the only ones who package the cutlery correctly so that it can then be removed from the handle!! 😎

04/11/2024: Siamo venuti a cena in questo ristorante sabato sera. Noi adulti abbiamo preso due menu tipici, per il bambino, su loro suggerimento, un piatto di strozzapreti alle verdure che è stato letteralmente divorato! I nostri menù consistevano in un antipasto di bresaola e porcini, un piatto di pizzoccheri fantastici, un secondo di carne servito su una specie di spiedino, un contorno di verdure e un semifreddo al Braulio. Tutto veramente buonissimo, in quantità perfetta, che ci ha deliziato dal primo all'ultimo boccone! Non sono riuscita a fare foto ai nostri piatti, eravamo troppo attratti dai profumi e dall'aspetto. L'unica foto sono riuscita a farla quando il piatto non era destinato a me! Rapporto qualità prezzo onestissimo. Molto simpatici e gentili i ragazzi in sala che hanno chiacchierato con il nostro bambino regalandogli delle caramelle. Purtroppo abitiamo lontano ma di sicuro se torniamo a Tirano verremo ancora a mangiare qui, tutto troppo buono!

02/11/2024: Siamo stati a cena in questa trattoria ed è stata una piacevolissima scoperta. Abbiamo preso i chisciöi come antipasto e come primo i pizzoccheri e le tagliatelle ai porcini. L'antipasto era veramente buono, la frittura non era unta ma ben fatta, ed era accompagnato da un'attimo, ottimo salame. I primi piatti era anch'essi di ottima qualità, sia come ingredienti che come preparazione. Il personale era molto cordiale e simpatico e ci è stato anche offerto un amaro tipico del posto. Se dovessi tornare a Tirano ci torneremo sicuramente.

28/10/2024: L'Arcimboldo is a nice little restaurant near the Sirmione spa. There is the possibility of eating both outside, in front of the lake and it is a real gem as well as inside. Starters, first courses of both lake and sea fish, second courses of meat and fish. Friendly, kind and attentive staff. I ate really well.
