17/04/2026: A restaurant in the center of Varese with excellent dishes, served in a simple yet exclusive atmosphere. In my experience, the wait for appetizers and first courses was a bit long.

26/03/2026: A family trip out of town for my wife's birthday. Since it was low season and we didn't have a reservation, we went a bit by feeling, as we often do, and found this cute place. We had a great time; the pizza and entrees were delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I read that the place offers jazz evenings, and that piqued my interest. It would be nice to return to try this experience. If we're ever in town again, we'll definitely stop by.

05/02/2026: I've been working in Seriate for a few months and had the opportunity to meet the owners of this small restaurant. Very welcoming and knowledgeable people. The menus are also designed for those who, like me, need to pay attention to their diet. Excellent pizza... I eat the rice flour one and it's delicious.

11/04/2026: I overestimated them. It took me over an hour to eat a pizza at a sidewalk table. Friends of the waiters arrived and ate before my girlfriend and I, even though they were seated half an hour after us. The takeout pizzas were on their way in the meantime, and the people sitting down had to wait. A truly awful evening. The waiter who looked after our table was mortified, but he didn't fix anything, and could only say, "Sorry, we had a problem with the oven." Unfortunately, we only have one oven... Yes, but from what I see, you have plenty of friends... Never again! Thank goodness you're not the only ones making pizza in a hurry. Too bad...

08/03/2026: Unfortunately, there's no point in serving excellent food when you're then forced to SCREAM to converse with your guests at the table, given the screams and shouts of rude children running around the tables the entire time, with their parents completely indifferent. Unfortunately, in Vieste, when there are no tourists, this seems to be normal, as the same thing has happened to me in other places. Perhaps a separate dining room or a children's area would be a good idea. The service also isn't commensurate with the price, which is quite high. The exterior, a beautiful olive grove, deserves special mention.

23/10/2025: Review: Chalet Degli Ulivi (visit in August 2025) Unfortunately, our visit was a disappointment – ​​even though we were really looking forward to it after reading so many good reviews. The service was completely overwhelmed: only one waiter was allowed to take orders, the others seemed to wander around aimlessly, only allowed to serve or clear away. The wait was correspondingly long – and even when our glasses were long empty, no one thought to ask if we wanted something else to drink. Our child's meal arrived 20 minutes before the adults', and our plates arrived one by one with an even longer delay. Nothing is more uncomfortable than when one person at a table is already finished while another is just getting started. The playground area was also a disappointment: there was a charge, although this wasn't clearly communicated anywhere – neither on the website nor on Facebook. We came specifically for that. Food? Mediocre. The pasta and pizza were okay, the meat was actually good – but when the wrong side dishes arrive (four sad potato slices for €5 instead of fries!) and the "mixed salad" consists only of green salad, without the fennel or cucumbers as advertised, you eventually lose patience. The ambiance is nice, yes. But a beautiful wooden house alone doesn't make a good restaurant. Anyone who relies on its view instead of organization, service, and honesty won't have satisfied customers in the long run. By the way, we then had to wait another 30 minutes for the bill – a worthy end to a frustrating evening. Conclusion: Nice restaurant, unfortunately with a lot of show and little substance. Three stars – only because the meat was really good.

09/04/2026: Beautiful suite with an in-ground hot tub, cozy and clean for our wedding night. Excellent breakfast with a wide selection of homemade cakes, a shame we had to leave it. Staff know how to pamper their guests. Wonderful experience.

I chose salmon in a crust with chips and then a crème brûlée... the menu has many interesting options, including pizza if you like. 14/02/2026: Looking for a last-minute dinner, we stumbled upon this place by chance. It was fully booked, but there was a table available for at least an hour, so we decided to stop anyway, not knowing where else to go at that hour. We were greeted and served with such kindness. We ordered chicken, tacos, vegetables, and potatoes. They were truly delicious and well-prepared, offering new flavors. If we return to Cortona, we will definitely book a table in advance to enjoy other dishes. Thanks to the staff for welcoming us at the last minute.

After the obligatory mopping up of the plates, we left our plates practically clean 😜. Generous portions and excellent prices. Highly recommended! Compliments to all the staff.
