Unfortunately, the staff (not the excellent waiters) is their weak point, the only place where the customer doesn't count for anything and is treated poorly. I've never seen anything like it, at least for me, respect comes before food and everything else. There are many other places where you can eat much better at home and be treated with decency...

23/08/2025: Been coming here for years, usually on a day trip from Switzerland for the Saturday market and we always call in for a drink. Visited later in the day this time and had some food for a change. Absolutely fantastic. Tagliatelle Ragu and Ravioli stuffed with Sea Bass. Never have pasta dishes tasted so good. It's amazing what they can achieve in such a small kitchen. Staff are very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately we had to leave quickly after our food due to our planned train being delayed and having to rush for an earlier one.

19/10/2025: Each and every coffee shop built us faith in Italian coffee. We can across this town and shop accidentally, and we chose to come back again for this coffee! ( As well as pizzeria nearby)

31/12/2025: Below-average pizza with mostly canned toppings. About two hours after eating, the pizza came back to haunt me with intestinal discomfort. My dear colleague who joined me for lunch held out a bit longer but experienced the same symptoms. This is a restaurant that does not deserve to call itself a pizzeria, especially given the apparent lack of hygiene. At least the service was friendly. I would not recommend eating pizza at this restaurant.
29/12/2025: Very nice restaurant, small, but the food is excellent, the meat tender and the fish really fresh, we were really happy. The owners are very kind and welcoming. We will definitely be back....p.s. I recommend booking in advance 🤗

03/01/2026: We felt at home; the kindness was evident when booking and confirmed on-site. Located in the historic center of Domodossola, the rooms were simple and the furnishings weren't modern, but they were pleasant. We had a beautiful wooden-beamed ceiling. The breakfast was truly excellent, served at your table, with both sweet and savory options. I especially enjoyed the hazelnut cake, the homemade yogurt, and the berries. Thank you. I would love to return, and I'd also like to try the restaurant, since it was closed at the moment.
02/01/2026: What can I say about Locanda Piemonte da Sciolla? I've never stayed in such a welcoming place. From the moment we arrived, we felt like family. Lucia and Paola were truly gracious, with excellent customer service, far superior to that of many hotel brands.
For me, the real difference is, and always will be, the service offered, and in this case, the Locanda deserves 10 stars. My sincere compliments, and I hope they continue to maintain this extraordinary style of hospitality: they are a model to follow in the way guests are welcomed.

You can definitely make a great vegan Falafel wrap or plate. The prices are good, and the portions are nice.

14/11/2025: I ate this before changing trains to Interlaken. The kebab was delicious. The wingbong was delicious. If I hadn't tried the kebab, I would have gone for pizza. If I ever get the chance, I'll definitely come back. The owner was very friendly and greeted me in Korean. I was grateful.

14/12/2025: There is always a first time. This was ours: leaving a restaurant before ordering.
Upon arrival, I asked if there was a table for two. The person in charge said it was full inside and vaguely suggested we go “outside,” despite the temperature being around 1°C and no visible guests there. His attitude was openly annoyed, his explanations mumbled and unclear—surprising, given that I speak Italian at a C1–C2 level.
Only after being sent out did it become apparent that “outside” referred to a covered and heated structure to the side—something that could have been explained in one sentence or shown in ten seconds.
We attempted to sit at a table for two, only to find both chairs covered in bird droppings. A nearby table was slightly less dirty, so we moved there. While looking for tissues to clean the chairs ourselves, the person in charge returned, curtly told us we couldn’t sit there, and walked away. No explanation. No alternative. No courtesy.
At that point, we decided to leave.
If the food reflects the same standards as the service and hygiene, skipping the meal felt like the right choice.
