12/10/2024: Definitely a place to forget, unsuitable and uneducated staff. The dish ordered.....terrible.
30/07/2024: We waited over an hour for Primo Piatto, even though there were only 5 tables occupied. The pasta was too salty and inedible.
In addition, a passerby with a small child was rudely turned away when she politely asked if she could use the toilet.
Unfortunately, I can only advise against stopping at the Portico Cintoneria Bistrot.
At least I wasn't charged for my Primo - hence two stars.

15/05/2025: The pizza was very good, the house wine was also good, and the service was quick and friendly. Just the way I like it.
10/05/2025: Today I was with my family in this Bistro in the center of Domodossola, a nice place, friendly and helpful staff, impeccable service and excellent food, fresh products and well-made and very good pizzas of all kinds, if I go to Domodossola this will be my favorite restaurant... note normal prices

10/04/2025: Muy bonito entorno en la plaza del mercado. Buen servicio.
La pasta carbonara estaba bien aparentemente. Las pizzas estaban entre las peores que se han comido. Lo que parecía tomate enlatado sin condimento y la cobertura (un atún, una berenjena) , ambos mal cocidos.
26/01/2025: Paramos en Domodossola en nuestro camino de Suiza a Italia. Cuando caminamos por la Piazza Mercato para ver la ciudad, vimos este vibrante café en medio de la plaza. También vimos tranquilo a muchos lugareños disfrutando de su tarde con café y bocadillos. Con esto en mente, mi esposa y yo decidimos parar a tomar un café y pizza.
Me alegro de que decidimos, ya que todo sobre Café Istriano era agradable. El personal era amable, barrera del idioma era un problema, pero eran tan agradables para tratar de entendernos. La comida era genial, el café era espléndido, y las vibraciones de la cafetería eran tan vibrantes y animados.
Disfrutamos de nuestra corta parada aquí y sin duda volveremos de nuevo, si tenemos la oportunidad de visitar Domodossola de nuevo.

They serve nice food, but I didn’t try anything.
It is situated in a mini shopping center.
Lots of parking spots all around.
01/12/2024: We recently went for lunch with the family, we were in a hurry and the service was quick and they were welcoming. I suggest the Bella Italia pizza

22/05/2025: No, absolutely not. The food was a disaster. The risotto starter was okay. The schnitzel on the main course was inedible. The potatoes had a rotten taste. I had to stop eating and pay. I complained, but the staff were unwilling to accommodate me. Never again.
05/05/2025: A Domo per il mercato, ritorniamo in questo locale che già conoscevamo. Il menù a 16 euro è interessante, la qualità di quanto mangiato buona. A nostro parere, però, l'acqua (75 cl) a 4.50 euro è inaccettabile. Non ci torneremo più.

24/04/2025: Disastrous experience… it took 1 hour for a pizza when the restaurant was empty and customers who arrived 20 minutes after you were served before 😠 bad new owner, never again, unfriendly staff!!!!
14/12/2024: Lots of noise, the waiters shout and speak badly to the customers, the gamberoni pasta, well it was just frozen shrimp, the salmon pasta, I'm still looking for the invisible salmon on my plate... could the fisherman have gotten lost at sea... better before a change of owner we will never set foot there again

02/11/2024: Cappuccio e brioches terrificanti. La brioches la mangio più buona al supermercato confezionata. Locale dentro trascurato. Bagno non pulito. Mai più.

23/02/2025: Un apericena in centro, locale carino e da fuori attrae, ospitali, preso calici di vino e tagliere di salumi e formaggi, tutto buono, atmosfera rilassante.
11/11/2024: Bonjour nous étions cinq à déjeuner après un apéritif sur la terrasse,nous avons décidé de déjeuner. Nous avons pris 3 tartares un poulet et des spaghettis aux gambero rosso.
Nous avions été prévenu que le tartare c'était juste du boeuf haché assaisonné sel poivre et huile d'olive. Je pense que la présentation du plat était juste horrible et la vraie dénomination du plat aurait dû être steakhaché froid. Les spaghetti que mon épouse avait commandé était loin d'être à son gout avec une odeur de garum qui couvrait tout le plat. D'ailleurs elle n'a pas pu les manger.
Mais le pompon c'est le prix du vin ouvert que nous avons bu. Le calice 40ml de vin à 7 euro alors que la bouteille était vendue 35 euro.
Avec une bouteille on peut servir 30 calices soit 210 euro. Nous sommes des restaurateurs et après le repas aucun geste commercial n'a été fait.
Nous ne reviendrons jamais

17/05/2025: Malgré notre réservation, nous avons dû attendre qu’une table se libère.
Les pizzas sont arrivés au bout de 30’ et ceux qui ont prit un autre plat, ont dû attendre 1h, donc on a tous mangé en différé. Pas d’excuses, pas de cafés offerts. Nappe sale, personnel antipathique sauf la seule dame italienne.
