07/12/2025: Delicious bicerin! A well-deserved refreshment after the chaos of the markets. We were lucky to snag the only free table: the bar was very chaotic, crowded even with people standing around, and the space was poorly managed. Waiters rushed and bumped into you, and there was a never-ending line for the bathroom (unusable). But the bicerin was worth it! Nice bar.

22/11/2025: As we were passing by on our way to the Asti Christmas market, it caught our eye, and on the way back we made a point of stopping because we saw some platters of cured meats and cheese that looked delicious. The service was fantastic, very friendly and attentive. We ordered a bottle of wine, water, and a mixed platter for six people, and it was very good—not excessive, but perfectly adequate. We really enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

20/10/2025: Wow! This hidden gem in Asti offers an incredible service. Our family of seven was warmly welcomed by the smiling waiter, who went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. The aperitivo con tagliere was an absolute must!

03/01/2026: We stayed at La Tomatica in Commenda the past two nights. We chose the property because we were looking for a family-run accommodation that offered quality local products. None of this. Aside from the nice room, I couldn't fault anything. Not the hospitality, the accommodation conditions, or the breakfast. The room was cold. There was no hot water for a shower. The breakfast photos are misleading, as the selection was neither local nor as shown. There were few supermarket products. The coffee was not good, as the reviews of the pizzeria also confirm. Any additional requests, which matched the photos posted by the host, were met with complaints from the lady—which, incidentally, were not lacking throughout our entire stay. The first night, we couldn't sleep due to noises coming from the wall. We notified the lady around 11:30 PM, but, knowing the time, we didn't expect a response. Neither she nor her son responded until 9:30 the next morning, when we went to breakfast. The lady also called us too demanding for asking for a warm room, hot water for the shower, and the breakfast offered. At checkout, when we discussed the problems with the lady, she took us there, even calling her daughter. She accused us of choosing that place just to argue and avoid paying—which wasn't true. Our advice? Stay away.

12/11/2025: The rating, at least in my opinion, is much lower than it used to be. It's the arithmetic mean between the quality of the products, the helpfulness of the staff (which often deserves praise), and the current prices, which are increasingly out of line. It's impossible to pay the same price for a slice of pizza as a restaurant (€8, the one I attached in the photo), nor offer croissants for €1.60 (see photo) when at the bar they're €1.30. Of course, everyone does what they want at home, but I think it needs to be scaled back. Until then, I'm unlikely to return, after having frequented there daily for years.

05/01/2026: Excellent pizza, friendly owners with a long tradition of making pizza. Their mastery in creating, topping, and baking pizzas using an electric oven makes you forget about a wood-fired oven. Plus, it's very close (a 2-minute walk) to the RV park! Please note: this review has been under new management for only two months.

01/11/2025: Nothing particularly "wow" about the food... the room was almost full (I was there for lunch) and at one table there was a customer who was talking very loudly and was quite disturbing and it would have been useful to point this out to him... having said that, at the cashier I was told about the agnolotti that they were homemade but in reality they were packaged, ready to just cook... Try it and believe it. A positive note on a local red wine, one of the best Ruche' from the Gatto winery.
