19/01/2026: Good Hotel with Very good service and excellent location

15/01/2026: I walked past this hotel daily as I was staying with a friend in Padova. This hotel always had the nicest staff and the patrons always dressed very well. The location is great for walking around near restaurants and they will hail a taxi when you want go further. They even went out of their way to hold a lost item of mine at the desk so I could retrieve it. I know when I return, I will stay here!

18/04/2026: I've been coming to La Lanterna for many years. The service is always quick and impeccable. Good pizzas, and the green pepper fillet is excellent. But times change. Last night we ordered a seafood salad with Ascoli olives, buttered spinach, and grilled salmon. Tens of minutes pass, and only the seafood and spinach salad arrives. I ask for the Ascoli olives, but still nothing. I ask again, and they finally arrive, saying they'd lost my order. Meanwhile, I'm getting tired of waiting and losing my appetite for the salmon. I ask, and they tell me they'd lost my order again, this time for the salmon, which I ask them to cancel. I ask for the bill, and what does the waitress do? She brings the bill to my girlfriend instead of me! The service is terrible and makes me lose the desire to eat out. A restaurant in a beautiful location, but it's completely ruined. I recommend trying other restaurants around there; there are plenty.

16/04/2026: I've been getting takeout pizza every week from this restaurant for a couple of years now. In my opinion, it's one of the best in the city center. I've also had the opportunity to eat at the outdoor tables, and the view of the square is beautiful. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and polite. You can tell the owners care deeply about their restaurant, and this is reflected in the staff, who are always impeccable. Recommended for lunch or dinner in the center of Padua!

01/05/2026: Excellent food quality and a stunning location. Unfortunately, the service wasn't up to par: we had to repeat our orders several times, and at the cashier we were charged for items I'd clearly stated we didn't want to pay. The service definitely needs work. Otherwise, I recommend the place.

30/04/2026: Average restaurant. I had the €15 fixed menu for lunch, but I saw some nice pizzas passing by, and I'll try those next time.

11/04/2026: Everything was excellent and tasty, from the starter to the dessert and the wine. The staff were very kind, helpful and fast. Excellent experience.

06/07/2025: Bad experience, ... there were four of us for lunch, I called saying we'd be there in 10 minutes at 2:05 PM (on the internet they say closing at 3:00 PM) and everything was fine. I got there and it was already closed ... obviously they don't need to work...

11/06/2025: The summer garden is excellent, the food impeccable, from pizza to meat and fish, and the staff are extremely kind and knowledgeable. We'll definitely be back.

14/06/2026: The meatballs, the truffle carbonara and the tartare are excellent and I always pair them with a good Syrah ❤️

10/04/2026: A piece of junk, the menu is only on paper and you have to choose as soon as you enter, a gloomy place, there is nothing of what they show you on Facebook, my advice is luckily we ran away immediately.... my rating 0

05/04/2026: Despite the change of management, the parking lot remains terrible, with animals that you can imagine. It's also an ugly sight. We decided to go elsewhere.

15/03/2026: A restaurant with a distinctly 1980s feel, focusing on seafood. The creamed cod and the "bollito di mare" appetizer are delicious. These simple dishes are plated simply and without frills, yet very authentic. The fish is incredibly fresh and the quality/price ratio is absolutely excellent.

15/08/2026: We were there today. A total disappointment. Never again will we go to that place. The risotto tasted of nothing. The fried food was only sardines. I've never seen anything like it.

09/08/2026: I went to dinner with my children, the youngest, who is 4 years old, and the oldest, who is 8 years old. As soon as we entered, they measured the height of the two children, which turned out to be 1m and the other 1m30. We sat down, ordered 2 bottles of water and ate. Once we had finished eating, I went to pay the bill and found myself with €76.50. I asked the employee or owner for an explanation, who rudely said that based on the heights taken, that was the amount to be paid. I paid and once we got home I measured them. My daughter is not 1m tall, I think the employee took the measurement above the hair that I had tied up, and my son is 1.28, but leaving these things aside, in 100sushi that I went to, it was the first time this type of inconvenience has happened to me. (My daughter ate a plate of ravioli and my son 2-3 plates).

20/06/2026: Kindness and good food. I thank the owner for letting me spend an hour and a half pampered while waiting for a nearby concert, enjoying an excellent pizza, dessert, and coffee. Thank you so much, and congratulations on the atmosphere and the food—top notch!

28/02/2026: We went to this pizzeria. We ordered two "Capricorn" pizzas (or whatever the Black Angus one is called). The pizza arrived with only four tiny slices of meat. Really very little. For €12 a pizza, we expected much more; it almost seemed like a joke. The quality of the meat was barely noticeable, just thrown in for good measure. The atmosphere was freezing, literally: you could feel the cold everywhere. Furthermore, when the bill arrived, we discovered the cover charge was €3.50 per person. Absurd: there wasn't even a breadstick on the table. Zero added value to justify that price. Mediocre pizza, disappointing portions, cold place, and unnecessarily expensive cover charge. For the prices they charge, it's absolutely not worth it.
