27/07/2025: In a very simple setting (but with a cloth tablecloth), the menu offers a few courses that vary throughout the weeks. It's mostly fish, but also features a few meat dishes. I go there about once a year and always enjoy the well-prepared dishes, whether it's the traditional fried fish or the chef's more unusual creations. The informal but always friendly waiters make guests feel at ease.

19/08/2025: The food is always good and the dining room has a good ambience. But recent experiences have been let down by the sullen attitude of the manager and sommelier. The wine service is particularly poor. We had to ask 3 different staff for an ice bucket for the wine.
15/08/2025: A sublime expression of undisputed professionalism in every area: Reception, Kitchen, and Dining Room. Starting from the entrance, where the welcome is greeted with an old-fashioned rigor, and continuing into the Dining Room, with its perfect furnishings and table settings, Maître d', Sommelier, and staff. Then comes the food, fabulous, accompanied by a nearly infinite wine cellar. As an old advert used to say...there are many stars...millions upon millions...but Il Porto and its staff deserve so many more. Thank you all.

07/09/2025: Having been coming to Viareggio for many years, I was happy to try this place. The place is very welcoming, as is the staff, who make you feel at home. Naturally, the menu is exclusively seafood, with only a few courses. The dishes are generous and made with fresh fish, such as the tagliolini with cicadas, superb, as is the fried mixed seafood. The wine cellar offers excellent value, and the Conte is truly excellent. Well done.
05/09/2025: Last time I was really disappointed... many dishes are made to order, so the selection is limited, and the dish I'd chosen never even arrived. Too bad. The appetizer was good.

20/07/2025: Ristorante a conduzione famigliare a Viareggio. Io e i miei amici ci siamo venuti due sere di fila perché ci siamo trovati benissimo. Abbiamo praticamente provato tutto il menù. Niente da dire, tutto ottimo. Qualità della materia prima alta, cucinata bene e i gestori del locale sono gentilissimi e sempre con il sorriso. Il conto è giusto. Qualità prezzo imbattibile.
27/06/2025: Ho appena cenato qui e mi sono innamorata della cucina e di chi lo gestisce.
Il mio menù condiviso con mia figlia: lasagna al branzino fresco (fenomenale!!!!!), fritto misto ( non unto, abbondante e gustoso), pepata di cozze (mia figlia le ha divorate) e patate fritte con buccia ( croccanti e gustosissime).
Non sono riuscita a mangiare il dolce ma la lista proposta era davvero molto attraente.
Anche il vinello della casa era fresco e adatto ai piatti mangiati

05/09/2025: We had a delicious meal here. We had the pasta vongole and the pasta ragu. Both were very tasty and definitely recommended!
We didn't have a reservation but were able to get a table outside, which was great.
02/09/2025: The waiters were disoriented. They got confused several times and took over 10 minutes to take our order. The sea bass fillet was raw, the grilled vegetables had been prepared that morning and were cold.

31/08/2025: The price of the pizzas is unjustified. A small buffalo mozzarella pizza, with little toppings and little mozzarella, costs €12. I don't recommend it.

A welcoming place, with friendly and helpful staff.
Incredible first courses... the spaghetti with clams and zucchini cream is unforgettable, and the pizzas are amazing! Crispy and soft dough, served sliced, and each slice is topped perfectly!!
Highly recommended!

20/08/2025: Unfortunately, this was the worst pizza we had during our time in Italy.
The pizza was overcooked, with burnt edges, and oddly already cut around the crust when it arrived.
When it came time to pay, we wanted to use cash, but were told they couldn't give change for a 50€, which was quite inconvenient. Even more concerning, we were initially charged 35€ for just one pizza and one bottle of water. The menu listed the pizza at 10€, the water 1,5€ and we were surprised to see an added 5€ “service fee” (2.5€ per person), which was not clearly communicated. When we questioned the bill, they recalculate the total.
The service was not very friendly, and the waitress could not speak even a basic level of English, which made communication difficult.
I strongly recommend double-checking your bill before paying here. In my opinion, it’s best to avoid this place altogether — there are many much better options in the area.

19/07/2025: Scoperta per caso e devo dire che è stata una splendida sorpresa.
Personale professionale e simpatico, piatti ben eseguiti ed abbondanti, veramente molto molto gustosi. Per tutto quello che abbiamo mangiato e bevuto il prezzo è basso. Lo consiglio a pieni voti e sicuramente ci tornerò.
