21/11/2025: It's a favorite place, but unfortunately, on the last three occasions, something has gone wrong. Once the ravioli were very salty, once the tagliolini were loose, once the seafood was watery. I assume something has changed in the kitchen. My rating isn't negative, but I hope you'll soon return to your "recent" glories. In my opinion, it's the most beautiful and characteristic restaurant in Viareggio.

04/10/2025: Fantastic local restaurant, run by a husband and wife. Frequented mainly by local Italians. Owner doesn’t speak English but very friendly and we were able to communicate. Wife cooks fantastic Italian seafood dishes and husband runs front of house, serving everyone. Beautifully cooked seafood dishes. Best compliment I can give is; we have been twice already and because it was consistently good we are going back again for lunch today. Highly recommend

11/01/2026: Beautiful setting on the first-floor terrace overlooking the sea, excellent and beautifully presented food, excellent service, friendly and knowledgeable waiters; although the restaurant is pricey, it's perfect for special occasions.

29/12/2025: A very welcoming place! You can also eat outside because the tables are in the sun and the weather permits. Quality food, efficient and courteous staff, and a quiet atmosphere: all strong points. Highly recommended!

It was one of those places that made you feel at home from the first moment, thanks to a consistently warm welcome and attentive but never intrusive service.

09/02/2026: The quality of the menu is inconsistent. The sea bass, for example, was very good, perfectly cooked, while the cutlet was very dark; the oil clearly hadn't been changed in a while. I think the side dishes were expensive, especially considering the small portions. Along with the sea bass (which was only half a piece), the order included a portion of mixed vegetables that cost €7, which probably included a medium-sized pepper and half an eggplant. For €7, in short... The service is quite fast.

20/07/2025: Ristorante a conduzione famigliare a Viareggio. Io e i miei amici ci siamo venuti due sere di fila perché ci siamo trovati benissimo. Abbiamo praticamente provato tutto il menù. Niente da dire, tutto ottimo. Qualità della materia prima alta, cucinata bene e i gestori del locale sono gentilissimi e sempre con il sorriso. Il conto è giusto. Qualità prezzo imbattibile.

27/06/2025: Ho appena cenato qui e mi sono innamorata della cucina e di chi lo gestisce. Il mio menù condiviso con mia figlia: lasagna al branzino fresco (fenomenale!!!!!), fritto misto ( non unto, abbondante e gustoso), pepata di cozze (mia figlia le ha divorate) e patate fritte con buccia ( croccanti e gustosissime). Non sono riuscita a mangiare il dolce ma la lista proposta era davvero molto attraente. Anche il vinello della casa era fresco e adatto ai piatti mangiati

19/07/2025: Scoperta per caso e devo dire che è stata una splendida sorpresa. Personale professionale e simpatico, piatti ben eseguiti ed abbondanti, veramente molto molto gustosi. Per tutto quello che abbiamo mangiato e bevuto il prezzo è basso. Lo consiglio a pieni voti e sicuramente ci tornerò.

26/12/2025: Christmas lunch set menu. Everything was excellent, from appetizer to dessert. The staff were knowledgeable and extremely friendly, the service was prompt, and the place was spotless. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

26/12/2025: Update December 2025: We celebrated Christmas here with our family. Service was excellent, and the food was excellent. Three seafood appetizers (see photo) cost €60 (paccheri with cherry tomatoes, scampi, clams, and lupini beans), mixed fried fish with anchovies and fried vegetables, and panettone with cream, water, wine, and coffee. It was sold out. Update 2025: Everything is always great at La Casina! --- We're regulars at this restaurant, and I can say it's an extremely good restaurant, especially for the price. The dishes are good and plentiful, and there's no cover charge. I recommend the tagliolini with lobster, the seafood sauté, and the cacciucco (fish stew). Located in the Viareggio pine forest, 200 meters from the sea, it offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with air conditioning. During high season, it's better to reach it by bike than by car due to the lack of parking in the area (free parking nearby from 1-3 PM and after 8 PM). They often offer a free after-dinner drink at the end of the meal. - August 2023. This year too, we've been to the local restaurant a couple of times, always top-notch. The seafood is good and plentiful, and there's a fixed-price menu available (4 appetizers, 2 first courses, fried food, and water, plus wine). The staff is friendly and helpful, and there's a wide variety of "ammazza caffè" (afternoon tea) for those like me who don't get the usual "amaro del Capo" (a bitter liqueur). Don't be put off by anyone who complains about slow service. The staff is always busy, but when there's a lot of people, you might have to wait, but that means you'll eat well!

25/02/2026: The products served are definitely fresh and high-quality. We had paccheri with squid, clams, and bottarga...everything was delicious, it's a shame they couldn't bring it all together. The tuna was excellent, the octopus was excellent, and the fried food was average. Excellent service, friendly and attentive staff. They accept dogs without a problem and will immediately provide you with a bowl of water for your furry friends. The only bathroom (at least the one marked as the restroom) is inaccessible to the disabled. They probably have a dedicated one, at least I hope so.

03/01/2026: Attracted by the name and our hunger, we stumbled upon a classy restaurant, with friendly, attentive, and professional staff who welcomed us warmly as if we were regulars. The food was excellent, with generous portions from appetizer to dessert. The menu is exclusively fish-based. A recommended stop. It's located in a quiet area of ​​Viareggio, away from the crowds, yet still facing the sea, opposite the beach clubs.
