20/04/2025: We went one evening in April based on the reviews. I thought it was an excellent restaurant but I think unfortunately a lot of people don't know how to eat. We enter and I already understand that it will be like a nightmare kitchen. Meanwhile, no one greets us. He makes us sit at a table with a dilapidated menu from the 80s, untidy waitresses who are not very attentive and not even with a smile. We take a sautéed lobster dish. Inedible spaghetti not cooked well with no flavour, no taste at all, total disappointment plus I think the lobster was frozen. I pay and I leave with the bitterness that I will never come back, and even when we are about to leave not even a greeting And as the good cavanacciulo says ADDIOS

13/04/2025: Siamo ritornati al Cabreo dopo qualche anno. Un ristorante di altri tempi con una bell’atmosfera. Per chi apprezza i particolari é il posto adatto. Servite da una cameriera molto gentile. Piatti ottimi. Il gelato squisito. Consigliato !

05/05/2025: Found the place by chance but I must say that I have never eaten such a good pizza, moreover the really kind owner also brought us a small tasting flatbread and made us sit before the opening because we had to leave in the evening, a highly recommended place with honest prices.

18/05/2025: The place is very nice aesthetically, which convinced us to go in and try to eat there. The rest of the experience was very touristy, the food did not excite us and the service was very cold. The only positive note is that from the moment we ordered to the moment the dishes arrived, exactly 5 minutes passed. We had crab meat dumplings (we did not like them), fried calamari and mixed grill. Together with chips and 1 bottle of water the bill came to about 80 euros.

06/05/2025: I ate a good first course, well-made and different-than-usual pasta with clams, a good cheesecake and good wine to accompany. The place is very nice and the staff are kind and friendly, you should just have some precautions regarding the service, such as asking if those who have only had a single dish want it to go out together with the others' appetizers or wait and if those who have had the same appetizer would like to have it in a single dish to be shared all together or not, because these are decisions that the restaurant should make only after asking the customer.

12/03/2025: Soggiorno: Marzo 2017 Locale di buon impatto visivo, sobrio ma curato e accogliente. Personale preparato e molto disponibile nello spiegare il menu. Il cibo buono ma senza eccellere. Piatti piuttosto elaborati e non privi di un certo coraggio. A mio avviso il menu è un po troppo limitato nella scelta delle portate. Buona cantina e rapporto qualità prezzo accettabile.

01/12/2024: Abbiamo fatto un fine settimana a Lucca e a cena ci siamo recati in questo locale . La scelta è stata ottima abbiamo mangiato pesce e tutto più che buono . Il personale gentile e professionale . Quando torneremo a Lucca sicuramente sarà un punto di riferimento per la cena .

21/04/2025: Ho scelto di tornare con familiari, per il pranzo di Pasqua, in questo locale già sperimentato in altre occasioni. Che dire, chef Girasoli è sempre una garanzia. Il pranzo a menu fisso è stato un crescendo di emozioni per la vista e per il palato. Il servizio attento e cortese mai invadente. Da sottolineare l'eleganza e la grazia dei modi con cui il Sig. Niccolo' ci ha presentato le pietanze. La proprietà ne tenga di conto. Locale veramente consigliato per pranzi e cene con ospiti di riguardo. Alla prossima.

17/02/2025: Ho fatto altre recensioni a cui ho dato punteggio più alto ma tutto è relativo e qui si parla di un ristorante di livello con una stella Michelin. Non dò il massimo perchè non mi ha entusiasmato rispetto alle aspettative, alcune cose non solo buone, ottime, altre meno ed un servizio attendo ma non preciso, tanto personale ma la posata che casca, casca una pietanza, insomma cose che non devono succedere, piatti spiegati di fretta che non capisci e non apprezzi. Due coppie al tavolo scegliamo il menu degustazione di pesce, ripeto alcune cose eccezionali altre meno, alla fine della cena esci sazio ed il prezzo vale il lavoro, il locale, il servizio quindi a mio avviso del tutto accettabile. Almeno io non potrei mangiarci tutti i giorni ma tornerò per provare il menu di terra. Comunque bravi

01/06/2025: A characteristic place created inside a deconsecrated church in the center of Viareggio. Two very good pizzas, one too salty, we would have sent it back but we were scared of the possible exhausting new wait. Selected and quality beers but in my opinion the list does not include locally produced craft beers. Very slow service, there were three of us, two pizzas were served 50 minutes after our arrival, the third pizza six minutes after the other two. One of the main rules should be to serve the table all together, and even though there were only three of us, they did not manage to do so. Given the poor service, I also found the price high.
