The fully transparent cuisine makes the concept of transparency even more appreciated. The quality of the dishes and the art with which they are prepared reach a high level of gastronomic excellence, and the wine pairings suggested by the Sommelier are of the highest rigor and quality. 17/04/2026: A small, intimate restaurant where you can enjoy delicious food and good wines. Its secluded location away from the tourist crowds is truly delightful. The service and welcome are impeccable, and the staff is very attentive. The chef comes to the dining room to chat with the guests—a real bonus! The food is made with love.

01/06/2026: The quality is excellent, the service is very good. Arrive within 15 minutes of opening, otherwise it gets very crowded and noisy due to the vaulted ceilings. Be warned, the large pizza is enormous! A quality restaurant, I recommend it!

15/05/2026: Every time we are in Lucca we make sure to have dinner at Antica Locanda dell'Angelo. This is a very elegant restaurant located in the historic center with amazing food and a wonderfully kind, welcoming staff. The food they prepare is a fresh and delicious interpretation of traditional Luccese fare. We have been welcomed back by Vito and Stefania on every occasion and we have never been disappointed.

Mr. Vito and his mother, who have run it for decades, are extremely kind and well-mannered, and it's always an honor and a true pleasure to delight your palate with their dishes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

07/05/2026: I had the gnocchi and it was absolutely perfect. My husband started with the beet risotto and it was not our favorite- oddly sweet like a dessert. His second course, the chicken, was SO GOOD. The best chicken I have ever had. The orange sauce that it came with was to die for. Service was top notch- kind and attentive. Lovely atmosphere. So lucky they were able yo squeeze us in after the rain.
