12/08/2025: The dishes were good, and the price was reasonable. The service was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant has a lovely location in a pedestrian zone. Dogs are also welcome.

14/08/2025: I visited this restaurant overlooking the canals with my daughter. It's perhaps in the most picturesque spot in Livorno's Venice district, near the fish market and a short walk from the Fortezza Vecchia and the ferry terminal. Even though I visit Livorno often, I was curious to dine in this little corner of Livorno. The view is spectacular, with the sunset to the west overlooking the sea and the interior looking out toward the canals. Everything was lovely, but beyond the setting, it was the courtesy of the girls and the truly excellent quality of the food that made it my new go-to place when I'm back in Livorno. Congratulations, keep up the good work, and thank you for the pleasant evening spent with my Princess. A dad. Alas, update a month later... I returned about a month later (August 2025) with my partner, remembering the wonderful experience the previous time, which I described above. I had rated everything 5 stars, but this second time, the experience was, for half the dishes, simply "terrifying," leading me to lower the rating to 2 stars. Let me explain... We ordered a mussel sauté, which arrived as delicious as the previous time, also stuffed with a giant prawn. To drink, we ordered a half liter of the house white wine, which was served in a bottle holder with melted ice. Therefore, after our first glass, we realized that the wine was almost room temperature... (about 30 degrees that evening). We asked to refill the bottle holder with ice, but even then, it returned more cold water than ice. Let's move on... We ordered two first courses: linguine with clams and bottarga and a plate of spaghetti with clams. The dishes looked interesting, but we later realized they were very salty, but overly so, and that one of the dishes had no trace of bottarga, and that the lemon pesto was apparently just lemon juice mixed with breadcrumbs (I think). But it was the clams that really made us jump. Of the approximately 50 clams each that formed the base of the dish (like lupini beans—we certainly weren't expecting true clams...), on my plate I counted 8 open clams and over 40 closed, dead ones, meaning they hadn't opened during cooking. I wonder how whoever cooked that evening, while sautéing the pasta with the sauce, couldn't have noticed this, or rather, sent two servings of dead clams to the table, because, in fact, we were served two first courses seasoned with closed clam shells! When asked if everything was fine, I replied "well," leaving it up to the person returning the dishes to evaluate the eight open clams, neatly arranged in a radial pattern on the shell dish, compared to how many closed ones we'd left on our plates. But then again, the dishes were incredibly salty, unlike anything I've ever eaten before. I'm not the type to send dishes back to the kitchen, and I've eaten in "the worst bars in Caracas," but that evening, perhaps we should have done so because, always with politeness and respect for the work of others, a little criticism helps everyone improve. A real shame, I hope due to a lapse in the kitchen that evening, because the place is worth it, the prices are attractive, and the staff is very courteous and friendly. I hope to return soon to update the review.

13/08/2025: The cacciucco wasn't made with the fish called for in the Livorno recipe, the paccheri with blue crab seemed to be seasoned with the same sauce as the cacciucco, the fried anchovies weren't crispy, and neither were the French fries. A complete disappointment.

03/08/2025: The location and view are truly beautiful. The restaurant is well-maintained and well-kept. The waiters are very polite and efficient, always ready to answer any questions and fix even the most trivial mistakes. The food is truly delicious. I highly recommend the Elba-style octopus, the crab gnocchi, the grilled prawns, the tuna steak, and the cacciucco! Excellent dishes, with reasonable portions and prices considering the average prices found in restaurants these days! Highly recommended!

08/07/2025: Excellent restaurant with a terrace overlooking the sea, stunning views. We ordered two delicious first courses and a fish tempura with vegetables, which we ordered seconds of because it was so good. To accompany the fish, we chose Ansonica, a native white wine from Elba Island. A welcoming atmosphere with background music. Impeccable service. Highly recommended.

26/08/2025: A truly positive experience The place doesn't have a sea view, but it's right on the sea, away from the crowds and noise. You don't see the sun set, but the moon rise. The pizza and schiacciatine are excellent, because the pizza chef has, I'd say, thirty years of experience!!! The owners are kind and professional, and the waitress is attentive and friendly. Highly recommended

16/07/2025: I don’t usually write reviews, but this time I feel that everyone should know where they are going and not be misled by the good reviews of others. We came with family during lunch to eat together — there were five of us. However, apart from sandwiches, we couldn’t order anything else. We asked to make us mojitos: two with alcohol and two without. The mojitos had spoiled mint and stale lemon. The drink tasted disappointing and was unpleasant. We addressed the bartender with this problem, but received only negative phrases in response. In addition, the service was disgusting: the women were unfriendly and rude. I do not recommend this cafe. I usually don’t write reviews, but this time I feel that everyone should know where they are going and not be misled by the good reviews of others. 04/08/2025: Romantic and elegant atmosphere, a very charming seaside venue. The interior feels like being on a ship; ask to sit on the terrace for a better view of the water. We had a seafood dinner, and everything was delicious and relatively affordable given the type of dishes and the location. We spent €88 for two people, including an appetizer, first course, and dessert. The service was impeccable, friendly, professional, and above all, very fast; we finished dinner in about an hour.

02/08/2025: Average restaurant! The staff was almost unhappy with the customers, and the owner was unworthy of being called such. Surly and rude... I strongly advise against the place... I'd call it a shark rather than a dolphin! We reserved a table as guests of a partner holiday village, and the owner spontaneously decided not to honor the agreement without warning, and very arrogantly took the plunge.

25/08/2025: We stumbled upon this little restaurant in the historic center of Capoliveri on Saturday evening, and my boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised, from the appetizer to the gnocchi with clams. We highly recommend it!

12/06/2025: My partner and I had dinner in this cute little place but it turned out to be an experience not to be repeated, the waiters seem to be taken from the street, one in particular who doesn't even know the table numbers and who when he arrives shouts the dishes and seems to throw them at you, the same one who accidentally kicked my partner's chair while passing by without even apologizing, instead telling him "watch out" as if it was his fault. We ended the dinner by asking for a coffee, maybe with the same powder they had already made a coffee previously because I only received dirty water. Let's not talk about the bill, we asked if they would bring it to the table after 15 minutes of waiting (taking into account that there were 4 tables that had already finished eating), since no one took us into account we had to get up, if they had told us come to the cashier we would have gone willingly, too bad because the food is decent.

12/06/2025: Since the restaurant was busy, we decided to eat there, which was a mistake. The waiter shuffled around the terrace in a very unmotivated manner and practically threw our plate onto the table while serving us, and the food was not attractively presented. The taste was tolerable, but not fine Italian cuisine. The restroom facilities were abysmal. There was no cistern cover and it couldn't be locked. A waste of money and time.

07/08/2025: Eccellente pranzo e soprattutto una cena superlativa con l'atmosfera esterna che ti fa sentire coccolato con la super gentilezza di tutto il personale. Ottimi crudi di mare freschissimo e presentato in modo scenografico. A prestissimo!

26/07/2025: Rimasto veramente deluso da tutto. Personale non professionale, cibo molto deludente con un piatto di crudo da 60€ scarso e non curato con 2 tartare di bassissima qualità. Sono andato lì in base alle altre recensioni e non capisco dove possono esserci tutte quelle qualità lette. Spero per loro che sia stata solo una serata negativa

08/03/2025: Cibo di buona qualità in un menù con un numero di portate giusto per avere sempre materie prime fresche. L’atmosfera del locale è un pò tanto classica per i miei gusti.

17/08/2025: So... The pizza, for goodness sake. Mussels and paccheri with octopus, edible (good is more). Service: The guys do what they can, and it shows, because it's precisely the basics that are missing. For example, three pizzas (arrived at the same time) and a first course arrived a quarter of an hour apart. To top it off, the owner (in terrible physical condition; if I were her age, I'd leave it at that) uses a table set with a tabletop to place the POS. They'll eat there, and the tablecloth (already stained) will definitely not be changed. Personal conclusion: it's clear that their mental health is the problem, but it's equally clear that they're not interested in having customers back because that just means you want to give the tourist something to eat and who cares if they'll come back or not. You're all happy.

14/06/2025: Pranzare all'ombra degli alberi nella piazza centrale di Marciana marina merita! Atmosfera conviviale e rilassante. Ottima la cucina e il rapporto qualità prezzo. Eccellente il dolce della casa.

30/05/2025: Il locale è stata una piacevole scoperta. Personale cortese , professionale, attento ad ogni nostra esigenza e cibo sensazionale. Non faccio spesso recensioni ma Vizio Antico merita veramente più di 5 stelle. Siamo stati qui diverse volte , abbiamo mangiato ogni primo presente nel menù (eravamo in 6) e ordinato diversi tipi di schiaccine che secondo noi sono le migliori sull'isola. Ci porteremo a casa un bellissimo ricordo di questo locale, peccato per la distanza (Roma<->Elba non si può fare tutti i giorni!) , 5stelle più che meritate!
