05/12/2024: Autumn Saturday, for lunch: we were advised to book (six adults and two children): it was (and I think it always is, here!) good advice, because the place is really sought after. Very positive first impact: pleasant atmosphere, quiet, comfortable and welcoming environment. We ordered starters, first courses and second courses, all different, to enjoy (with numerous cross-tastings) as many of the proposals as possible. The menu (presented in a very elegant paper form: something uncommon now...) is essentially based on the sea (the preparations with tuna were particularly appreciated); but it also suggests all the local specialities, typical of the Tabarchine tradition: the pasticcio, the cappunadda, the cascà, the bobba are perfect. Unanimous opinions: whatever the choice, the freshness and authenticity of the ingredients emerges, in well-prepared dishes, with an authentic and genuine flavour: after all, we ourselves were present at the delivery of the catch of the day, from which we then drew! The advice and explanations of the owner, who was always attentive and pleasantly present, were invaluable. The wine list is good, the service is truly excellent, thanks to a quick, courteous, professional staff. Generous portions, bill appropriate to the level, with an excellent quality/price ratio. In summary, a very positive experience (to be repeated: also to taste the chef's fish soup!): high quality food, with authenticity of flavors in a rich and varied offer.

24/11/2024: Very good restaurant, good welcome, we had the Tuna menu which was excellent with its white wine 👍
15/11/2024: We were directed to another restaurant but then, recommended by a local, we diverted to Galaia.
Friendly welcome, located in a small street in the center, we were impressed by the location, a mix of Mediterranean colors, and even more so by the quality of the food.

31/08/2024: Posto raffinato carino anche all interno noi abbiamo cenato nella veranda, ottima selezione di antipasti poi ravioli di cernia, spaghetti al nero seppia e pesce spada gratinato tutti ottimi, servizio rapido cortese ed efficiente, conto caro ma di fatto onesto un luogo da consigliare decisamente

10/12/2024: Value for money absolutely out of line. 22 euros a microscopic tuna tartar, full of fat and cartilage that I had to discard, on top of a tasteless burrata. The seafood carbonaras arrived at the table all very salty even if cooked at different times (this implies a mistake upstream of the line) with incorrect creaming (curdled). I didn't like the fried food, with the fish being of little quality and quite greasy and heavy (waited for almost 40 minutes after the others had already finished eating).
The trio of tuna samples were absolutely too expensive (30 euros) for three pieces of tuna as good as many other tuna dishes I've tasted around. I hope not to read the usual tale of raw materials and processing as a justification answer because in Carloforte we all know how much good tuna and Ventresca and fish in general cost; and if you want you can create dishes with excellent raw materials without applying these prices.
In my opinion, for these prices the restaurateur must be able to offer a very high level both in the kitchen and in the dining room, something that has absolutely failed here. Those who frequent high-level restaurants assiduously will agree with me on what I say, at that point I prefer to spend double or triple, but for it to be truly an experience.
Last point which is not clear to me, first Nicola came to illustrate the wine, then he was the chef in the kitchen and then to do the math, I didn't appreciate this aspect.

16/10/2024: The trattoria was a real discovery, the innkeeper won us over with his kind manner, absolutely worth trying with the Carlofortina pasticcio, the salad with the typical Carloforte brindle cicumbers, gallette tomatoes and the inevitable tuna as well as the pasta alla Carloforte which was truly balanced and tasty!!
12/10/2024: An excellent and delicious lunch... the Carlofortina pasticcio is superb. Congratulations for the excellent cuisine and service. The girl he brings to the table is very kind, smiling and smart. Congratulations indeed. I will definitely come back every time I come to Carloforte

02/10/2024: I piatti di pesce li abbiamo trovati un po’ dozzinali e privi di carattere. Anche il personale non è professionale come pretenderebbe il locale. Bruttissimo il tappeto verde (finto prato) nella location esterna . Forse nel menù carne sono più bravi. Anche nella scelta del vino non sono stati all’altezza di convincere i commensali. Peccato!
26/08/2024: sono stato nel ristorante mi hanno messo nel dehor fuori, tutto entusiasta poi hanno acceso di fianco a me la griglia, io sono un fototipo 1 carnagione molto bianca e ne sono uscito del colore di mckennie e che puzzavo di fumo come burak Yilmaz sembrava di stare a istanbul. non consigliato
