11/01/2024: We're not quite there, 8 of us enter and decide to all eat spaghetti with sea urchins, usually ALMOST ALL restaurants abandon the à la carte menu and therefore instead of bringing plates with the serving, they bring trays adopting a convenient solution here... Useless say that it didn't happen that way, but we can easily overlook this point, because I can understand that not everything works in the same way everywhere. The waiter offers some "starters" we accept and after a short time all the restaurant's starters arrive, even the oysters!! 😂😂 (it was the most expensive spaghetti lunch in the world). Let's overlook this too, you have to be magnanimous 😂 let's talk about quality and service, the starters were served almost immediately but the quality was absolutely not in keeping with the price, the fish served tasted of nothing and neither did the sauces, out of 8 starters 2 were saved which were good, ditto for the spaghetti, 26 euros for a few spaghetti with sea urchins (really mediocre) which took a really, really, really long time to arrive, we were the only ones in the whole restaurant. I think the place works well with pizza judging from the reviews and photos, it would be better abandoning the kitchen if the results are these, truly a theft and a disappointment, I don't think I've ever left a restaurant in Sardinia so disappointed.

01/02/2024: By profession I am an international Chef. I have eaten at fine restaurants around the world and this restaurant in my opinion is world class.
Personally, having dined at the restaurant several times (as we have since 2017 lived in nearby Sant’Antioco in retirement, have never had any issues whilst dining at the restaurant.
Our food today (2nd April 2022) with 4 friends dining together, was fantastic. Really authentic, freshly prepared Sardinian dishes.

23/09/2023: Very pleasant place with external veranda overlooking the port. Two appetizers. Classic octopus (very good) and Caponadda with salted tuna (just a few cubes) and lots of tomato and dried bread. Two firsts. Trofie grouper (not much) and bottarga (not received), and a fregola alla marinara (excellent). Two glasses of Vermentino (?) and a dessert for two (exquisite ricotta ravioli)... Bill €88. Friendly staff. You cannot order rosé by the glass. Only white or red. Overall an average place.
17/09/2023: Abbiamo cenato nella terrazza panoramica che da sul porto, il locale è carino, il valore aggiunto è dato dallo staff, in modo particolare Gioia che ci ha servito, e dal cibo fresco e cucinato in modo eccellente. Abbiamo provato sautè di cozze e vongole e per secondo un pescato del giorno alla griglia, OTTIMI! Servizio impeccabile anche sulla scelta dei vini e prezzo assolutamente giusto.

26/03/2024: Very simple place, very clean, family atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Grilled fish cooked on a charcoal grill in a wood-fired oven, really good with fresh fish. Not recommended 10+.

24/03/2024: The Pasticcio alla Carlofortina is excellent. I would recommend changing the water glasses, with the color layer largely peeling off, ugly to look at and not very inviting.
06/03/2024: Since you pay €2 for service, justified by the olives, but if I had known that the house wine cost €10 per litre, I would have taken a bottle. However, everything was good, although something could have been added for the €10 starter.

03/04/2024: We chose it for Easter Monday lunch with a group of friends, let me start by saying that I had been there years ago and had already eaten very well then. We returned and it was a real pleasure, the food was excellent as was the service, our waiter Antonio was always present and helpful, I definitely recommend it, well done.

21/02/2024: Varrebbe la pena andarci anche soltanto per gustare gli spaghetti alla pescatora , buonissimi ed abbondanti . Grigliata di pesce e fritto di mare freschi e gustosi . Camerieri professionali , cortesi e molto simpatici : ottimo !
Rapporto qualità/prezzo molto corretto
02/02/2024: Non il posto migliore dove andare a mangiare. Ho chiesto prima di entrare se facessero sia carne che pesce. Mi è stato detto di si ma una volta dentro con la mia compagna, siamo stati praticamente obbligati a prendere il loro menù del giorno perché come detto dal cameriere, "adesso non posso farvi altro". L'unica cosa di pesce erano i loro "affumicati" ovvero mezzo piatto di rucola con 5 fettine di qualcosa che non so cosa fosse... La mia compagna ha chiesto carne di manzo ma probabilmente cotta nella stessa padella usata per la carne di cavallo... Inutile dire che non sapevi cosa mangiavi. Personale tutto di fretta, sia alla richiesta di vedere un menù, sia nell'esporre le 3 cose che avevano nel loro menù del giorno. Esperienza brutta. Chiesto conto e per un piatto di pasta, stracetti di "manzo", "affumicati di mare", e un piattino con 4 pezzi di melanzane e 4 zucchine, una coca e un acqua 30 euro. Sconsigliatissimo!

10/12/2023: Booked for four people a week in advance to eat the suckling pig. We arrive and…. Mario forgot about our reservation. At first he denies it, but when faced with the evidence of the WhatsApp messages, he capitulates. He still tells us to sit down but we won't eat any pork. Given his mistake, we expect at least a gesture of courtesy, any kind, even an offered coffee to apologize for the mistake. Gesture that doesn't arrive. The food was decent; the environment is poor, with plastic plates and cutlery and the smell of loot from the nearby pit. The service really poor. And the lack of tact, with a 5 star rating, really disappointed us. Don't go, there is much better.

Non metto in dubbio l'autenticità del giudizio, resta il dubbio sul fatto che tutti abbiano compreso il senso del "web collaborativo" ;-)

13/11/2023: Esperienza pessima pagato una follia per nn aver praticamente mangiato, ordinato degustazione di antipasti per sei persone ma secondo me ne hanno portato max per 2 erano circa 16 portate e di ogniuna ne hanno portato la quantita che ne ha preso un altro commensale da solo !!! Ho dovuto chiedere dell altra bottarga perche ero ultimo nel giro e me nn era arrivato altro che il piatto vuoto!! Alla mia richiesta e stato risposto che gli altri erano stati un po ingordi, ma prontamete le ho fatto notare che in ogni piatto vi erano 2 fette di bottarga .. non parliamo del tonno affumicato !!! Una fetta grande come un cucchiaio a testa.. in tutto cio forse ho riempito il piatto per 3/4 per la somma di 50 euro con una bottiglia d’acqua
22/10/2023: Ritornare alla peschiera di Basilio anche se Lui non c'e' piu' e' sempre come un richiamo della foresta ci sono andato sin da bambino con i nonni con mio padre che non conosceva altri luoghi e ci vado ogni volta che capita che capiti da quelle parti. Che dire piatti eccellenti location unica .
