23/06/2025: I went to this place with my husband for dinner, it was an extremely positive experience, excellent service, helpful and very kind staff always attentive to every need of the customers .. the food is spectacular prepared impeccably! Highly recommended!

12/06/2025: Second experience in a place that stands out from many for the friendliness of the waiters and the owner who kept smiling throughout the evening, despite having welcomed us with the Inter jersey, in one of the darkest evenings for the team. 02/06/2025: We are two Belgian tourists who ask for a table. We are told that they are full (when in fact they are not...). We end up leaving and coming back a little later and a student agrees to seat us at a table. One waiter is particularly unpleasant (an elderly gentleman). All the other tables are taken care of before us (even those who arrived well after us). It's a shame because the pasta with vongole is excellent.

02/06/2025: Very good value for money, you choose the fish you want to eat. Very good, but too bad the fish was overcooked. It must be the custom of the area, so better to let us know if you like your fish undercooked

23/05/2025: Difficult review, because the location is very beautiful and the food was not bad. Some reservations about the prices (definitely higher than average in places of similar quality) and the service. The latter, although courteous and professional, did not put us at ease, with some peaks of "roughness" not exactly pleasant. The main protagonist is the young manager, whose authority is not adequately supported by experience, resulting in being unfriendly and arrogant. The atmosphere, potentially 5-star, was strongly influenced by the fact that we were not allowed to have lunch outside; inside, without air conditioning, the environment was decidedly more "normal", but was strongly altered by the presence of public officials (at least I imagine so, judging by the "blue" cars parked wildly at the entrance complete with regional or state friezes) who, in large numbers, were having lunch at the taxpayers' expense with particularly fine wines. Also because of this presence, the service was slow and rushed. In short: I won't go back, Taranto, if you can't have lunch on the water, has (much) better things.

20/05/2025: A great experience for the palate, very fresh fish and superbly cooked. Not to mention the location that in itself deserves five stars plus. In the city of Taranto there is no more iconic place than this, on the navigable canal, almost under the swing bridge, a stone's throw from the castle.

01/06/2025: We had the tasting menu. What can I say: we were thrilled. Simple but excellent Italian dishes. Great service.

29/05/2025: I thank my colleague who made me discover this place. I was amazed by the quality and service that were served to us. The food was more than excellent, especially given the quality of the raw material. A special credit goes to the staff who were able to advise us and guide us in the tasting, from the appetizer to the first course to conclude with an excellent fried fish.

20/05/2025: I returned after about three years...nothing on the menu has changed except for the price which has increased.

18/05/2025: May 14, 2025. My son's swearing-in to the Navy, celebrated with relatives and friends in this restaurant (a stone's throw from the barracks). Very kind staff, exceptional food, well-kept and clean environment. Thanks to everyone, especially Nico who accommodated my every request. Highly recommended

24/05/2025: The food is decent and more than reasonably priced (sea bream with almonds and pistachios). However, the welcome and service are appalling. We felt like we were intruding; the waiter was very annoyed and had the nerve to insist on a tip. Avoid it, in any case, if you don't speak Italian.

02/06/2025: Giando is one of those restaurants that stays in your heart. A refined atmosphere, attentive service and dishes that surprise for taste and presentation. Each course tells of passion and attention to detail. Perfect for a special evening, but so welcoming that you would want to return every week. Highly recommended!

The first course [linguine with local sea urchin pulp] exquisite and then nothing else because you already feel full for the generous portions. Excellent quality/price ratio and cordial hospitality

19/05/2025: Compared to when they opened, the kitchen has improved, but some prices are still excessive. For example, a handful of cold mussels au gratin for 10 euros is too much in my opinion. However, I repeat, compared to the beginning they have improved and the raw material is still ok.
