01/06/2025: This was one of the most elegant and delicious meals I’ve had in a long time. The octopus was incredibly tender and fresh, with a creamy cauliflower foam that was simply divine. The portion was generous and beautifully presented. I also had the Roman-style artichoke, so soft and flavorful, paired with a delicate sauce that brought everything together perfectly. The service was quick and gracious, and the staff were genuinely kind and attentive. I dined in their magical garden, surrounded by flowers, soft lighting, and the gentle scent of jasmine at the entrance. The atmosphere is the definition of refined relaxation. To top it all off, prices are more than fair for the quality. This place is a hidden gem.

Our dinner for part of the family during the Easter holidays was an experience that delighted the palate and regenerated the spirit. Immersed in an atmosphere of serene quiet, this gem of Salento proved to be a true haven of peace, where seafood cuisine meets local tradition with simply delicious results. The fantastic and well-kept environment contributed significantly to making the evening even more special. Every detail, from the furnishings to the soft lighting, conveyed a sense of harmony and attention, creating a welcoming and refined atmosphere. We opted for a culinary journey entirely dedicated to fresh fish, and each course was a celebration of the authentic flavors of the sea. The dishes, prepared with mastery and an evident love for the raw material, ranged from classics of Salento cuisine revisited with a touch of refinement, to original creations that enhanced the freshness of the ingredients. I remember each dish with particular pleasure! The cooking of the fish was impeccable, preserving its juiciness and delicate flavor. You could clearly taste the quality of the ingredients and the care in the preparation, elements that make the difference. 07/05/2025: Eaten delicious fresh seafood and fresh fish from the grill. Ingredients are beautifully pure. Jacamo is a great host. During dinner you are surrounded by a beautiful garden. Nothing to complain about our visit. If you're in the area, don't miss it.

31/05/2025: It’s been a really long time since I had a culinary experience of this level. I admit that it’s a bit difficult to surprise me with food. The last time was in a starred restaurant and I have to admit that the dinner at I Rocci surpassed even that. The research in the dishes is visible, it’s felt, but it’s totally devoid of that self-assurance that is often called “experimentation”. At I Rocci the chef places himself without protagonism, it seems that he places himself after the ingredient, after the palate of the guest to whom the kitchen reserves a little surprise before ordering and at the end of the meal, after dessert. In the dining room, the atmosphere is informal and cheerful but without a lack of attention. I have no idea how much was spent, I was my son’s guest, but whatever the bill, it was well deserved. The joy and happiness of the dinner continues even today. Thanks again.

22/05/2025: Pasta overcooked, fish that you have to look for in the dish, we are very disappointed and for these reasons it is really too expensive 22 euros per dish.

20/05/2025: We ate there tonight.Friendly waiter who was so helpful with all. He had lots of patience and explained the menu to us. Food was beautiful. They even cooked some of our small children who are fussy with fish some beautiful pasta instead. We had catch of the day it was so delicious the fish, the potatoes and the sauce. It was flavoured perfectly. And all while looking at the sea. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

13/03/2025: The welcome, the environment, the courtesy of the staff and the owner were good. Excellent starters, both seafood and land, excellent first and second fish dishes, very fresh, with generous portions. The selection of wines is also not bad: essential. Excellent quality/price ratio. A sure point of reference. ADVISED.

13/02/2025: I was there on Monday 10 February. We had a good time, good food, excellent appetizers both sea and land, a nice mixture of roasts and a good dessert as a finale.

02/06/2025: If you want to feel at home, and eat good food you absolutely have to come here. A triumph of fish, meat and countryside with truly authentic and special flavors. The fish is the master of the house. Accompanied by the very nice and friendly owners who make you feel like a real king. The countryside view and a few steps from the sea give everything else. 06/05/2025: Place in a good location, furnishings and cuisine from the last century. The service was good, but from what I saw we were lucky with the waiter. Old menu (they still use rocket everywhere, something I haven't seen for over 30 years), good fish, linguine with clams salted twice, honest wine list but unjustifiably high final bill. Probably accustomed to hit-and-run tourism, they are not interested in keeping customers. I ate well but not great, I don't get caught anymore.

10/05/2025: Arrivati a Gallipoli abbiamo pranzato in questa trattoria. Che dire, antipasto misto di pesce fantastico. Primi piatti si pesce fresco, porzioni abbondantissime. Il titolare è un personaggio! Atmosfera e locale molto caratteristico.

29/04/2025: We went for dinner on Sunday 4/27/25. We had an octopus appetizer with pears and toasted almonds and an amberjack tartare. So elaborate with pears and toasted almonds that you couldn't taste the octopus. While the first course was seafood fusilloni. They brought us fusilli with a pistachio pesto and there was a clam. Real crap. The dish cost €18 each. Restaurant to avoid.
